A/c Question at RPR

I know we read this somewhere please help. My husband likes the A/C cold and there was directions on bypassing the systems. If anyone can point in the right direction so I can write it down. Thanks

We were there 3 weeks ago and had no trouble with the AC. It was actually set for 64 and it was freezing during the night. We had to raise it.

Press the ON/OFF and DOWN button together. The digital display will change to 'OR" (or something similar).

You have just deactivated the motion sensor. This will last for three days at which point you will have to repeat the process.


I always turned the ac on or made sure it was running when doing the above sequence. If the air clicks off you did it wrong, it should stay running. Then hit the down arrow to the desired temp. This will make the ac run all the time an keep it at the selected temp, the fan will never shut off. So as the air gets closer to the desired temp the air will not be as cold. Also if you put the temp up fo the day it will turn on the heat so be careful. Just to play it safe we did the bypass every morning so we could return to a cold room later that night.

Also if the ac is not blowing that much or will not get down to the 65-66 range call star service, they will fixit. Normally I check to see how much is blowing out of the air vent. Two times now the ac filter was almost completely blocked from not being changed. After it is changed with the code bypass you can hang meat in there.
