We're going to WDW the week leading up to Easter, and want to visit Typhoon Lagoon one of those days. I'm thinking we'll go on Mon. Tues. or Wed. (April 5, 6, or 7) right at opening. Any input from you TL experts on which day of the week might be a little less crowded? Also, we're using the paper PHP passes (say that 10 times!) and I'm not sure where we should stow them. I don't want to waste time renting a locker, but I'm also not sure whether to trust those water-tight pouches you can buy and attach to your neck or wrist. Or should I just put them in a bag and leave them in our cooler?
Also, I figure we really only have a few hours to do everything before the lines are awful, so what should we do first? I'd say the Shark reef and slides are the priorities for us.
Finally, if it get's crazy could we just come back around 4 or 5 pm, when things get calmer (or do they never get calmer?) And if we do, would that count as another plus off our pass?
Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Hi! We LOVED TL....we got there at opening and scored a great spot with two lounges under an umbrella in front of the wave pool. We left all our stuff there all day as we came and went and everything was fine. I did purchase the large box-thing on a necklace from a kiosk just inside the park. I wore it all day with our passes and money in it (we did leave our keys at our spot). I never had a problem - I just held onto it as I went down slides. I actually wore a water camera on my wrist as well and had no problems riding anything with it either. We did shark reef first and got to go through several times without a wait - so much fun, and I would definitely reccomend you go there first thing at opening. DON"T forget water shoes for everyone and a disposable water camera! Have a wonderful trip!
Oh! Don't know about plus pass thing, but I would think you could get your hand stamped as in other parks...anyone know?

Ditto! The passes will be fine in the plastic box. Even if they did happen to get wet they won't tear because the material they are made out of is much more durable than paper.

Head for Shark reef first thing after you get your chairs. Lines can be huge later in the day. Beware the water is cold. It's a very cool experience. The wave pool is amazing!

Thanks for your responses, dizagain and bobcat! You've got me excited about going! :sunny:

I LOOOOVE Typhoon Lagoon! My Mom is taking my 2yo dd & I for a surprise trip next month, and we'll be going to TL for her (my Mom's!)1st time! I think she'll love it! I know my dd loves it! ;)

Now, I'm just worried about snakes there...

We rented a locker for our wallets, keys, passes, debit card, etc...I just felt more comfortable doing that. I kept some money in one of those airtight neck things and it was fine.

You will love Typhoon Lagoon:Pinkbounc

edited to add: I *think* you can get a hand stamp for re-entry later on....but I would ask about that. Otherwise, it would take another day off of your plus options.
