We are going to Disney 7days/6nights and we are doing 1 park a day. Well I want to have one day without the Parks so we can do other things like, swim, shop, golf etc. My question is.... Should I take a break in the middle of week or wait to the last day.

We will check in Saturday(which probably be late so no park just sleep and get everyone comfortable)
Sunday Park
Monday Park
Tuesday Park
Wednesday Park
Thursday: No park
Friday check out

or should i do no park like Tuesday mid week?
Any suggestions or advice?

Id take a break mid week. We did that last time and it worked out well. Our trip in September our full day off will be on a Monday after the Halloween party night were attending. I have this trip broken up a lot though with some early mornings and some late nights. Although I found on our last trip my kids and us were very cranky our last day at AK. HA but hoping its better this year since we have more down time.

In your case, i would take a break mid trip. We usually take a break around day 4 or 5 (we usually stay 13 days)

Definitely break mid trip. We arrived Saturday afternoon and took Saturday and Wednesday off. DD4 still wanted to just stay at the hotel on Friday.

We take every afternoon off. But, I agree if you are at the parks all day everyday, then break it up with the day off in the middle.

I don't know, for the price of a movie we would take the entire day off midweek, but still do a small visit that night, maybe Fantasmic and/or Star Wars Fireworks maybe a TSM FP+.

Or even 2 half days instead.

With FP+ you can get a lot done in a half day now.

Then again, for another $15 we would do MK on arrival night with FP+ and night shows. Sleep in the next day, do a later visit that day as well.

We're staying for 8 nights next month. Driving from Wisconsin to Fort Wilderness.. We'll arrive on a Monday, set up the pop up, go for groceries, Disney Springs...Then park, park, day off at the Fort, park, park, park, flex day-packing, park? Disney Springs?

For a short trip I don't think id take an entire day no park. I'd maybe plan a sleep in/pool day then plan on going to a park later, around 4:00. MK is pretty large and you need more than one day there IMO.

Honestly, I wouldn't do any day off for a 7 day trip. If anything, I'd have one or two "early" days where I'm in the park at rope drop so I can get a ton of rides in, leave by 2pm and then spend the rest of the day/night chilling out at home/hotel/pool/whatever. If you need a full day break, I'd say mid-week for sure. Nothing would be worse for me to know we're staying until Friday, but when I walk out of the park on Wednesday that I'm done with Disney and still have 48 hours to hang around the area. I'd be morbidly depressed.

I would take a break mid trip. We always have break days because for us the early mornings and late nights catch up to us quickly! This year we will be down for 10 nights 11 days and we are alternating between the parks and water parks. We still have a full break day (with no parks) built in. The days we hit the water parks will be semi rest days since we will be only there for 5-6 hours max and not be late nights. We've learned over the years that this is what works best for our family. We must have rest days built in, if we don't by the 5th or 6th day no one really has any energy to do anything.

You aren't going for a long period of time to take an entire day off from a park. I would go with the idea of a sleep in pool afternoon, then park at night. That is unless you have to purchase an extra day for this. If you are doing it to save on a day, then I would skip the last day and relax by the pool all day. Maybe resort hop later to check out other resorts. Watch fireworks from one of the resorts at night. Definitely not a break mid week. Just the way I think. ...if you were there for 10 days, sure mid stay break, but not your trip.

I agree with the others to take a break mid trip but, I will caution you on this. This is your first trip, correct? If so, you might not want to take a break at all. While you have a schedule, be flexible with things. Yes, have your FastPasses planned but realize there are a lot of things to do that don't need FastPasses. For example, at Animal Kingdom, the walking trails, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Flights of Wonder, and even It's Tough to be a Bug (towards the end of the day) don't need FastPasses so, you might want to think about doing that instead of an off day - a day with no FastPasses.

But only you can determine that and only once you are there experiencing Disney World.

I would also say mid-week. We usually go for 8 days and it is totally worth it to have a break day, although sometimes we do the water parks this day so not a true break. However, I would think it was a waste to do it on my last day as I would be very depressed. I'd rather spend that final day in a park soaking up as much magic as possible. At least mid-week, you know you are returning to the parks for a few more days. However, we have been fortunate enough to be DVC members and go quite often so if we don't do something, no bigger, we will hit it next trip. But for a first trip you may feel that you are missing out by taking a break. Plan what would work best for your family and have a great trip.
