Sorry, no deal cause I do care more about our troops than the rights of terrorists our troops were fighting in Afghanistan that were captured and are now imprisioned; they don't deserve US rights. I don't want them released again to continue to try and kill our troops; that is my opinion on the matter and it has nothing to do with you so it's not my problem that you think I am "implying that you or others somehow don't" care. I never said that.

I have a right to voice my opinion here without being called names or being insult because of it.

Just don't insult the rest of us while you are doing it or be ready
to be insulted yourself. If you don't like sand in your eyes,
quit throwing sand in other words. IMHO, it's no worse to be
called a fear monger than to say someone holds terrorists in
higher esteem that the brave troops of our country. That, my friend, is an INSULT!

You know what?

I can be a supporter of George W. Bush and be a good, decent, well-informed person. Likewise someone can be opposed to George W. Bush and be a good, decent, well-informed person.

There, was that so hard?

I'm not your friend.

I'd love to know how my opinion on the subject, which is what I posted, was an insult??? Just amazing.

I don't want them to be freed to kill again...that is not an insult, it's my opinion on what WILL happen when they are released. It's already been proven as my link above shows.

I disagree, shortbun. Calling someone who wants to hold onto his or her personal liberties but deny those same liberties to others out of fear of what they might do with them, and who urges others to do the same, is a fear monger. that person preys on our fears to further a political agenda.

However, someone who supports the rights of an accused terrorist to a fair trial before lcoking him up is not putting a terrorist above our troops.

As WVrevy pointed out, there are people incarcerated at Gitmo who might not even be terrorists. Let the government prove that these people are dangerous, and I'll support a jail sentence or other such punishment. but prove your case first.

That's not my job

Yeah its so easy calling someone a terrorist isn't it !!!!!!

don't want them to be freed to kill again

There you go again - who said any of the people being held killed anyone - you keep adding 2+2 and getting the same wrong answer 5.

Charge and try them if they've done anything wrong.

This coming from a supporter of the man who wants to amend the Constitution to include the denial of rights for a portion of the U.S. population?

Keep on talking, bud. If anyone holds contempt for the Constitution it would be w, his administration, and, of course, those who support him. yourself included if that description fits.

Just one man's opinion.

What a load of crap. Just an FYI, I don't support President Bush's plan to amend the Constitution. And I believe every American citizen has a right to counsel and that includes Jose Padilla. Of course none of this really matters to those that happen to hold a different viewpoint than you does it? If we don't agree with you then we're neanderthals, we're right wing wackos, we're extremists, and we're nazis.
You lean so far left I'm amazed you're still vertical. And you are just as dangerous to this country as those that lean too far right.
Here's hoping when you fall you have something soft to land on.

Just one man's opinion.

Richard
