A blizzard, a hurricane warning and a broken ankle all in one year

All these things happening in one year and alone are grounds for a very expensive birthday present.


I got casted today, a raspberry pink cast. Insert a big sigh here. I have talked to my friends and my friends have talked to each other. I have set up a cleaning lady and a schedule for other household things. Now have to ride out the next 6 weeks. Looks like a good birthday present will be getting the cast off at least

I told my husband if this bleeping hurricane hits, I will be drinking hurricanes to celebrate. He said crutching under the influence is not only illegal but extremely dangerous for the clumsy

And ya'll DC people told me no worries about the weather around here

Well, we *do* get the hurricane warnings every year and not much comes of them. Mainly a lot of rain and wind but they've never been horrible...well...except for Isabel. THAT was a doozy.

Sorry about the cast but you'll probably be a pro with it in a few weeks.
