I am excited to have Tron outfits. It is a very intrigueing movie, and was a bit ahead of its time. I wish (i know they won't) they would add the special effects to the costumes when we where it.

Only one thing to say- TRON ROCKS!!
They actually used to have a segment of the Peoplemover at DL that went through 2 rooms where the Tron "light cycles" zoomed pass you on the floor to ceiling movies screens (much like the segment in Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at WDW). Then when you would leave the section a deep voice would say something like "You have escaped (something or other)of Tron this time human, next time you may not fair so well" or something like that! Tron is hard to explain but basically it is about characters living inside a video game and competing against eash other as the "player" plays the different levels of the game. All very hight tech for its time in the early 80's and even remastered for the dvd, it looks surprisingly good lol.

Tron was a great live action/computer graphics movie Disney put out in the early 80s. It was so far ahead of it's time, and a great movie. It's all about what's really going on inside your computer. If you haven't seen it, you should rent it and check it out. It's worth a view.

Yup i think it is in fact still available! I got ours when it was re-released about a year/ year and a half ago i think, but it was not one of the vault movies so you should still be able to get it. I know Columbia House is still offering it and I think Disney Movie Club does too, so you should still be able to pick it up at retail stores too! It looks great!

LOL I was like in 7th grade when Tron came out- it was a big night out at the movies for me and my friends

Tron seems to have a following- it was truly before its time- and could stand a remake now.

They have a Tron character in the new KingdomHearts game also-

Yes. In fact it's been available twice on dvd.
The first version was a stripped down Widescreen edition.
The second is the 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition which you should be able to still find in stores (or online).

Oops! Just found out that there's another version: UMD Mini For PSP.

I thought this game was for 10-14 year olds? They are definently serving up stuff for the GenXers if they are going to have a Tron theme coming up. I already have it on DVD, it it due for a re-release or something?

I bet they threw some Tron stuff up because of Kingdom Hearts 2. There is a Tron 'world' in the new game
