A bit of free time - Is it worth visiting DL?

I will be staying close to DL and was pondering whether or not to hit DL only and not DCA. I will be able to visit from 3pm to 11pm and curious if this is enough time to see the park. I will be single which may help with Maxpass. I am also not too concerned about not hitting every ride. The day I can attend is also the same time as Oogie Boogie Bash. Will the crowd levels be lower in DL vs DCA?

Crowds will be much higher in DL than in DCA on the day of an OBB. Anyone who has a one park per day pass will choose DL for the longer hours and at 3pm when all the crowds start streaming in for OBB to DCA more people with hoppers will move over to DL.

However, I think you could still have a great time at DL.

OBB is sold out for all dates. Unless the poster is staying at an onsite hotel and can snag a ticket early in the morning on the same day as the party this won't really be an option.

OP- YES! Definitely go- single rider lines can also benefit you as a solo traveler. I don't know why you're in the area but if its for a convention you may want to see if your convention is offering discount or twilight tickets as well.

Well that’s sad it’s sold out, it’s getting great reviews. Then yeah got to Disneyland.

I’ve done this exact thing before and it was completely worth it. Had a great time and didn’t feel like I wasted time or $.

Download the free DLR app now and start playing around with it to get used to it. Make sure it works with your phone. Some people have reported that it doesn't work well with older phones. If you have a credit card on file, you'll be able to buy MP as soon as you activate your ticket at the gates. Should only take a minute or two to buy. And you'll be able to use Mobile Ordering at CS locations -- a big time saver! There really aren't any discounts on one day tickets (unless, as mentioned above, you will be purchasing your ticket through a convention), so if you buy your ticket in advance through the app or on the DLR website, you'll be able to skip the ticket booths and go right to the gates. Another huge time saver!
