Well, we just arrived back in Aus yesterday and I thought I would share with you some of my thoughts and experiences.

We were at Disneyland from the 16th to the 25th of Oct. We had a 14 day hopper so we pretty much just came and went as we pleased. We weren't there all day every day but we did spend several entire days there.

We had a MM included in our hopper but we didn't use it at all, didn't really need to. The weekends were a bit crazy so we spent those days doing things that we had prebooked (such as Big Thunder Ranch dinner and Fantasmic PS) instead of wasting our time waiting in lines for rides. The weekdays were great. We pretty much walked on most rides as many times as we wanted. I think we really only waited in line for a couple of rides, and even then it wasn't long amounts of time, maybe 15 mins max.

This is the reason we didn't use our MM. I figured that hey, we are on holidays and the best thing about holidays is being able to sleep in as long as you want. So we did. We didn't get there before it opened any day, in fact most days was probably after 10.30 but TBH I don't think it affected our enjoyment, or ability to get on rides fast.

Went to ToT party on the 21st. It was sooooooo much fun. Got sooooooooo much candy the bags were overflowing - and they were incredibly heavy. Kids loved Soarin' so we went on that multiple times, especially during the party. Got so many autographs. In fact I can't think of anyone that we didn't see.

Did the Fantasmic PS. It was just ok. I liked Fantasmic but didn't love it. Was glad we did the PS thing though because the crowds were crazy and I wouldn't have waited hours. What I did looooove was the Aladdin show - if they did PS and dessert boxes for that I would have booked in every single day - I loved that show.

We had breakfast with Minnie at the Plaza Inn and also breakfast at Ariel's Grotto. Ariel's was amazing. We did it on my DD's birthday and to watch her little face as all these princesses walked in was a highlight for me. We didn't see any of the princesses (except Snow White) around the parks, so the cost was definately worth it, even though it was very $$$$$$$.

After Disneyland we did Universal Studios. Was very unimpressed with it. Cost is definately not worth what is there. The halloween decorations were very OTT and quite scary, even for me. Not scary in a good way, scary in a gross, disgusting way!!!!

Another highlight was our trip to American Girl store. I had planned for us to have lunch there and buy 2 dolls. Instead we spent the best part of an entire day there and spent a small fortune. The girls looooooooooved it, and the lunch was gorgeous, very worth the $$.

Anyways, I just thought I would share all that ;)

Thank you for sharing.

Can't wait to hear more about your trip.

Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to take my 4 year old to Ariel's for breakfast. Would be worth it just to see her face.

Sounds like lots of fun. I can't wait till my turn. We decided against Ariels grotto but now I'm thinking about it again. :) There is just not enough time in the day to do everything I want :)

You know what jacs, if you have little girls I would do Ariels Grotto. It was that good, I would actually miss out on doing rides just to do Ariels. I know how there can seem like so much to do and so little time but if I were to go again I would without a doubt do Ariels again.
