A ? about the Disney Visa/Free Dining

I wasn't trying to say she wasn't correct about her pin, but the one that has been posted most recently around the Dis includes the regular dining plan for the value hotels. You can see a picture of the email for this pin code here:

I was following this thread to see if anyone had the same dates that I do in August (and maybe I missed it) but figured I'd ask. We have booked a 5 day stay at POR from 8/18-8/22 with free dining. Can the new Disney VISA code for the MYW Base package EQU be applied to our reservations? It is during the same dates and I couldn't find any restrictions.

You can't stack codes. You can change your package to include a discount that saves you more money, but that will void the original discount.

Why would you want to rebook the same discounts? Is the Disney Visa free dining different than the General Public free dining??

There is a Disney Visa room discount available now for August dates (I think it has opened up to the general public now). Depending on where you are staying and the number in your party, a room discount could be better than free dining.

Oh sorry! I didn't read that closely. Just assumed the Disney Visa was a free dining deal.

Thanks! We are staying at POR but we have a resi for Cindy's breakfast, Chef Mickey's, and Coral Reef so rebooking at this point would be too much of a gamble.

Do you mean to change dates, because rebooking your room doesn't have anything to do with your dining reservations. Unless there is something new about it these days. If you want to keep the resort reservation you currently have it shouldn't be a problem to switch the codes. I would at least try if it will save you money.

We are going to be in DW from 11/30/09-12/7/09. It seems that *maybe* free dining could be offerred to card holders during the time. I have a few ?s to find out if it's worth it for me to sign up for the card..

1) do you have to use the card to pay for the trip? how does that work? We do NOT want to use it to pay b/c through a very unique sales program Dh has a work, he gets points put on a card that can be use through disney. we have to use that to pay for the trip since it makes the trip free

2) if the answer to #1 is NO you don' thave to use the card to pay to qualify for free dining... is there a period of time you have to be a cardholder before you could get the free dining? if I signed up now and FD was offerred, would we qualify?

Should I get the card??

I called about this and talked with a Disney CM. They said I only had to pay the deposit. FWIW
