It should be big enough, but here's who is going, any comments from people who have been in a 2 bdroom would be appreciated.

1 bdroom- my brother, his wife and my two nephews.
lvng room- My Sister
2nd bdroom- Myself, my DH and our DD.

That's a total of 5 adults and 3 kids. Is the room gonna be big enough?

Thanks.

You're talking a King in the Master, a pull out queen in the LR and either 2 queens or a queen plus a pullout in the second BR. This will work as long as you give your brother the second and the nephews are not older teens. And assuming your dauther is young enough to sleep with you. You could also put here with your sister. Remember if you get a lockoff with a pullout in the second,it's a full size, not a queen.

My nephews will be 9 & 4 and my DD will be a little more than 2 yrs. It sounds like it will work.
Thanks for the response.

Sounds perfect, good luck and enjoy.

I'd say it will work best if you and your family take the master bedroom (king bed) and your brother's family is in the second bedroom. Also make sure that you request a dedicated 2B so that you get two queen beds in the second bedroom instead of one queen and a sofabed. With four people to sleep, I suspect they'll be more comfortable in the two beds.

Sounds like a good arrangement.

I have a 2br/2queen reserved at BCV for next March. Since they have a limited number, I called day by day to be sure to get the 2 queens for each night.

I was thinking since so little of SSR is open - you might want to do the same.

Just a side note - on one of the days, I called around 10am. I almost had heart failure when she told me that there were no 2 queens left! She was mistaken, but for a minute there............ Also the first day - the CM told me twice she booked the 2 queens and when I called the next day, that CM told me it was NOT 2 queens.

They aren't all that limited.

If memory serves, there are 20 dedicated 2Bs per building, all with 2 queen beds. There are 24 lockoffs which have the one queen / sofabed arrangement.

Even if you are booked with 2 Queens, it wouln't hurt to confirm at check-in that your room has that configuration. I traded messages with someone recently who was supposedly booked into a 2Q room at BCV, and did not get such a room. I suspect that CMs at the resort itself may be shuffling things around without realizing the implications.

Can you request a dedicated 2BR from the get go or is it by luck of the draw when you check-in as to how many of each 2BR's they have left. I will call Monday if asking for a dedicated 2BR will help. Thanks

Supposedly the dedicated / lockoff designation is made at the time of booking, even though it may not be noted on the printed reservation.

However, as I said, I traded posts with a person who was told that her reservation at BCV was for a dedicated 2B, and she actually received a lockoff. My best guess is that the resort CMs may have moved her to a lockoff prior to check-in, thinking that all 2Bs are built the same.

You should definitely request it at booking, but it wouldn't hurt to clarify at the front desk when you check-in. May save you some hassle down the road.

I think she meant they were limited at BCV not SSR. :) The problem at BCV is MS telling you that you have a 2 bedroom dedicated with 2 queens booked and either they are messing up the bookings or the BC is changing it after bookings. Either way at BCV some have booked the 2 queens only to get there and they not be available.

To get the 2 queens you need to book at the time you make your reservation. They should be able then to tell you if it's available. If not you can wait list for it. There are limited number of these rooms at the BCV is the problem.
