He replied to me as well, and the deal he offered for a minivan was exactly the same one I currently have booked. No biggie, I plan to recontact with him closer to our travel dates and see if he can beat the price. He seems like a really genuninely nice guy. Love that.

Well, I heard from back from him. For a 10 day minivan rental I got a quote of $437 and that includes taxes and all. I may also wait until we get closer. I am thinking about joining Alamo Insiders to see if it makes any difference. If Alamo insiders doesnt make a difference in price, then I will lock in with the King of Car Rentals

Wow Tamara thanks for posting that! Our trip is still 15 months out but Ive been checking on rates for the month of October for this year and always find $900+ on rates. We are going to be needing a van for 10 days as well.

Please keep us updated on this thread if you book with him so we can know how the transaction goes!!

I believe we pay him his fee, he makes the reservation and emails it to us and then we deal with rental company. Thats how I believe it works. I am going to email me him again and see what kind of deal he can get on a mini-van rental. I am leaning towards 1 mini van for 7 people instead of 2 seperate cars as we have planned.

I'm salivating at the mouth to see if he really can get you a 10 day minivan rental at that rate, plus your trip isn't that far off so if you do choose to use him we don't have to wait months for your review (although I'm sure it seems like your trip is soooo far away to you...mine always does when its as close as yours lol)

That's what his eBay page says, but his Twitter page (http://twitter.com/#!/Car_Rental_R_US) says that he's in Ontario. I would consider that inconsistency to be a reason to be cautious.

I still have not heard back from him.

Well I just heard back from him. My quote is 492.47 This is the best price I have seen for my dates for a minivan. We are there from August 4-15.

I did. I figured it's only twenty bucks. I really wanted National to come through with decent rates like they have in the past, but this year my dates are just high.
