A 72 Degree Halloween?!??!!

The weather forecast says that we may have a record-breaking warm Halloween. Yeah! 72 degrees! Where I come from, it's not that unusual to have wet snow falling while trick or treating. Nothing like putting on mittens and a winter jacket over your beloved Halloween costume.

Anyway, both of my boys are doing overnights are friends' homes on Friday. Sniff Sniff. Our first Halloween without them.

Anyone else supposed to have unseasonable weather?

We are BUT in the oppisite direction

Right now we are about 10-15 degrees below normal and it is suppose to stay that way all week. btw--we are currently at 36F with a windchill of 24F!!

So they say, today anyway. Might reach 72 also. As long as there's no rain OR snow, I'll take the mild temps. Don't want my Cinderella freezing.

They're saying upper 60's here. I've got a Cinderella here as well so mild weather would be great.

Well, we just got 5 inches of snow so it looks like we won't have to worry about Kate having a costume. It's winter jackets for us!


I suppose that could mean that she's trick or treating dressed up like an Eskimo huh?

You are the envy of my children! Our trick or treating was on Sunday afternoon (yes, I do live in the strangest town ever) and it was pouring down rain. My DD and DS gave up after doing one street. They were soaked to the bone (they had their yellow ponchos on) and not one bit of face makeup left. We had to throw a bunch of candy away because it was so wet.

Although we've never done it, some parents around here take their kids trick or treating at the mall when the weather is really bad.

BTW, I've got a 7 1/2 year old GI Joe, and an almost 10 year old who still doesn't know what he wants to be.
