vmk should never close like at ten it should stay open all the time. they say it is because they need to have paid staff there all the time. heck, i'll do it for free as long as i can stay in vmk all day long. who's with me

While, personally, I'd like to be able to play whenever I wanted to, the nature of the game doesn't allow it. There does need to be staff on at all times. And those people need to have sleep and lives of their own sometime.


And you need to give people more than 2 minutes to reply to your threads. Some people now may not even want to open your threads when they see your name attached to it since some got fed up with it. I'm not really trying to be mean, but you need to realize that this is a forum and not a chatroom. There are members from all over the world and many different time zones. There aren't always people on and reading threads 24 hrs a day.
And if there is, then they may be reading and/or responding to another thread during the 2 minutes you've given people.

You can't expect an immediate response to your threads and/or posts. Sometimes it may be several hours before there is a response.

And I think that reason is as you say they have to have staff to monitor it. But more hours I think would be great. Earlier and later. There are others around the world who play and times stink for them. I think is on a thread here somewhere. Can't find it now though.

A friend and I were talking about this very thing last night. My thoughts on it are that the reason it closes is because the chat needs to be monitored. Well they could just disable the chat while keeping the rest of the site active. That way people could use that time to build or buy or whatever else they wanted to do but not be in violation of the laws the govern the chat of underage minors.

My main reason I'd like to see it open with full hours- is that I'm a morning person and get up early for work- I'd love to be able to log on and get points early and then come back after work to play and interact and maybe even get points again

Also having been involved in online groups with lots of international people I'd vote for more times to allow them to play- what better way to get more interest in the none US parks than to incorporate them more in VMK- I'm sure they could do a thing where you could at least get the staff messages and game info in other languages too (although I'm well aware that most in foriegn countries know English better than some Americans)...

Now my reason not to want it 24/7: I have a 17 yo son- who plays other games on the internet- and we often get up with the baby a, say, 3am and find him online playing one of his games- very annoying that when we want to assure he gets sleep he needs for school that we have to disable the internet- and bring all crucial parts with us... But yeah I could see a few parental complaints from those parents who don't play- complaining that this "children's" game is open at all hours encouraging the kids to stay on...

Other reason- how will we ever know who gets the last word- if it never closes?

I would be happy if they allowed access to only your own rooms during the off hours. That way you can use that time to change or organize your rooms.

I don't know if it's possible for them to close the Magic Kingdom and signon to your rooms only.

Well they say it closes at a certain time so VMK staff can be there to make sure everyone is safe but they do not do a great job of doing that. SO yes i am with you because it wouldn't change much.
