I need a unisex gift costing no more than $15 for an adult for a gift swap.(no gift cards allowed!) I'd love ideas!

These items can be adjusted to $10-$30 gift ideas.....

*movie basket ~ DVDs, popcorn, candy

*breakfast basket ~ pancake mix, fancy syrup, etc

*warm cozy blanket/throw ~ either homemade no sew fleece throw or purchased blanket....Walmart has beautiful suede/wool blankets for $19.99 (if anyone ever asks what I want, it is that blanket)

*smores kit

*digital indoor/outdoor thermometer

*emergency road kit

*emergency chocolate kit ~ various types of choclate

*stationary kit ~ writing paper, fancy pens, stamps

*office kit ~ pen holder, business card holder, post its, fancy stapler

*Happy New Year kit ~ many of the party stores carry New Year's Eve kits complete with hats, noise makers, plates, etc. Even if they are going out, they can have fun on New Year's Day.

*holiday paper kit ~ paper plates, fancy napkins, plastic cutlery, candles, tablecloth....during this busy time it would be nice to pull out some paper products and not have to do dishes.

*mini-muffin tin with muffin mix

*cook book

*basket of unique ornaments

* Picture frame
* Photo album
* Coffee assortment with a mug or car mug
* Basket with snacks from the dollar tree/store
* Basket with popcorn and 3 to 4 buckets (they have cute cheap ones at Target).

I'll post more if some more come to mind...

There's always the Starbucks coffee pack for Christmas - you'd be hard pressed to find someone in your office who doesn't like Starbucks! We always have people fighting for that gift every year.... I'm assuming you get to steal other people's gifts if you want to?

:)

I went to Filenes last night and I bout - all for the same thing - the REGULAR price of these items was $27-40 but they were all on sale

A quesadilla Maker 14.99

A Chocolate fondu thing and candy maker - $14.99

A SALAD 101 set that includes a large bowl, little bolws, dressing containers, and stuff with salad recipes on it) $13.99

A Fott (brain freeze_ water massager thing) $14.99

Others I have done in the past that went well:

a bottle of Champagne or wine

A Yankee Candle

A laser level

Folding camping chair

Scratch tickets

and believeit or not I have been to some where people brought the stupidest items and everyone fights over them - aka chia pets!!!

I like those new flash lights that don't take batteries. You just shake them...

Great for in the car for emergencies. Nice at home too. I don't know how many times I went for a flash light and the batteries were dead & I hardly ever have D batteries laying around the house!

Be careful with these flashlights - they're not to be used within 3 feet of anyone with a Pacemaker installed..... we got one for my dad and then read the fine print - my mother has a pacemaker so we had to take the gift back....

We brought a heavy duty extension cord to a family gift exchange one year (alot of the gifts tend to be for generic or women so the guys loved this option) and it was very popular.

I love this place....9 replies in half an hour! Yipee :sunny:

All great ideas. Now to pick one. :)

And yes, we can steal...but no one will open until after the choices have been made based on the box and wrapping. So, someone might steal a great looking gift only to find they gave up something terrific in a bad box!

Thanks. I was unaware of that. Wouldn't be a problem at home but guess it could be if someone was helping me out in an emergency situaiton with my car.

The flashlights are great though. DH tried stealing mine already!!! I bought it at a craft show because he's always taking mine from home and then I don't know where he puts it. This one, he found on the table when I got home. Needless to say, I hid it after he was done playing with it.

Those Illuminator battery free flashlights are the today's special value on QVC- 2 for $26.21 (+ $4.xx shipping/handling).

I wonder if they are the big or little ones? I'll have to check them out. I got the small one for $5 at a craft show and mom told me she got me a big one for Christmas. She only told me because she saw me buying one. That was ok though. I wanted both sizes.

I bought a smores maker at Fred's ($8.00) and all of the ingrediants for Smores for my exchange gift this year...
Bottle of wine, Brie cheese and crackers?
Fuzzy soft throw blanket
I like to think about something that I would love to get.....
There are some great ideas on here!

Hmmm...the unisex part is what throws me. I was thinking about a gift bag stuffed with those super soft chenille socks you can pick up almost anywhere now--I think they are 2 bucks a pair at Target. So for $15, you could get 7 pairs--one for every day of the week! The socks are so stretchy, they'd work for any size foot.....but it really is more of a girlie gift than unisex!

depends on your crowd, but a bottle of booze is always good in my family exchange - especially if you go for something a bit different.
