I had really good ebay shopping experiences this year, too. The Yugioh cards I ordered came fast and were just what I expected. Oh, and I won 2 auctions for jeans for my DS from the same seller and although they were gently used (as described) she still packaged them very nicely in labeled ziploc bags, they arrived very fast although she didn't send them priority (I didn't choose it), and on top of all that she sent an extra pair in the same size because she thought I might be able to use them!! So I only paid $20.50 for 5 pairs of boys jeans, one of them a like new pair of Levi's!

And all of my sellers sent notes telling me when they shipped, etc. Very easy.

Glad your purchases have gone well. I puchased one gift for Christmas on 12/9 and I still have not received the item nor received notification that it shipped. This seller has over 1900 positive ratings only a handful of negatives so that didn't bother me at the time. I paid within minutes of the auction ending. I have e-mailed him twice asking when he expects the item to ship and that it was meant to be a Christmas gift, no response... The thing that bother me is that people have won things from him after my win date and have received their items because they have left responses for those. If he responded to my e-mails I would be fine if there are extenuating circumstances. I have sold alot of things lately on ebay and 90% of my items ship within 24 hours of payment. Only a few shipped within 48 hours.

I love E-Baying!!! I get a lot of great deals and have always had good relations with all of the sellers that I've bought things from. It's a great way to save money and to get Christmas shopping done from home or work!!!! It is definitely addictive!!

p.s. This time of year, don't be surprised if you have a long wait on shipping.

I too have usually had excellent transactions with Ebay. Of over 400 purchases, I have had 2 items that I did not receive. One of them I was refunded the money. The other one I lost $10.00. I also ready the reviews though it is not a guarantee. The one time I actually lost the money was a person with a 99.9% positive rating with over 1000 feedbacks. For some reason, they became no longer a registered user. No item shipped, no way to refund the money.

I too have had great experiences buying from e-bay this holiday. My son wanted clothes form Abercrombie & Fitch (and they are expencsive). Almosy eveything I got was great! and much cheaper. I did however order 4 shirts from one guy, when they came, they weren't A&F but old navy and they weren't new but "very used". I e-mailed him right away and no response. I filed a dispute with e-bay but because each item was not $25 I had no recourse. The guy even stopped his e-bay ID so I could nto leave negative feedback. I guess this is the chance you take. For the most part, I have been very lucky and usually sellers and buyers are very good.

As a long time eBay seller, I can assure you that there are alot of us out there that will bend over backwards to make sure a sale goes smoothly. As mentioned earlier, always look at the feedback of the seller, it says alot about that person/business. I also recommend looking at the feedback given by that seller. I've seen some strange/nasty things said about buyers that were uncalled for.

When I buy on eBay, another thing I always check is their shipping costs. I see so many sellers give their item a cheap price and then very high shipping. Sure, they get more hits on their items, but I don't consider it very honest. Just my 2 cents.
