I wonder if this has happened to anyone?
I called today to book the ent rate for 6/3-5 I saw they added 6/5 today.
Jennifer told me they had a view room with spectacular views of the fireworks for 98$ a night, would I like to book? I asked if they had the 79$ ent rate she said they don't show any available, I asked about all the other rooms kings, doubles etc. They were sold out. I told her there are not even any fireworks scheduled, so no thanks.
I was just curious because that 98$ isn't even posted as ent rate on their website; if anyone else has been offered this? I got a better deal for hojo in august for 78$ a night with an AP rate.... Just thought this was odd. :confused3

Did not experience that with the entertainment rate, but yesterday while on the phone with my travel agent she quoted me a price for HOJO's (after striking a deal with them on the phone first). I was excited about staying there after hearing the wonderful comments on the boards. Well, I told her go ahead and book it , then she called back and said that they had just raised it another 100 bucks just that quick when she called back. I told her forget it.SHe agreed that it was better to find another hotel .Very strange indeed!

I just checked hojo's website and you're right that June 5th is on the list for the dates for the ent. rate, but when I put in that date on the reservation site, it didn't come up with any of those rates for any rooms for that day. But, the rate that you were quoted on the phone for $98.00 was way less than what is showing up on the reservation site. It's showing $164 for premium/disney view rooms and $139 for others. So, it looks like there are rooms available..... but none are showing up at the regular ent. rate at all. I guess they need to update that calendar. Did Jennifer say what rate the $98 was for? It's definitely not a regular ent. rate, but apparently it was the best rate that she could give you at this time. She is great about trying to give everyone the best rate that's available.

I've been quoted ent rates for the suites before. I also know of others that have stayed in a suite for around that price. I'm wondering if this room was the king suite, it's in building one, top floor, and faces the park. I was told last fall that they weren't going to offer the ent rate on the suites anymore, but maybe they are having trouble moving them. :confused3

It was just the Disney view room 2 queen beds, that's why I thought it was strange. She sounded strange too LOL like she was reading some new prewritten speach. What was also weird was she asked for my entertainment card #. I don't know if that is new but when I booked my December dates they just said bring the card I will need it for check in.
Maybe their policies are changing? :confused3
But if the NQQ1 rooms are now 98$ they should change their page.

Ok, are you sure you were speaking with the in-house res agent "Jennifer"? Maybe you got a Jennifer at central reservations? In-house has never asked for an entertainment card #, and central historically does.

I'd say call back today, make certain that you have in-house reservations, and then tell them you saw on their website that the 5th is available at the entertainment rate, which you know to be $79 for premium view rooms. If there was a rate change, I'm sure it would be mentioned on Lorealle's discussion boards on the HoJo website.

I agree that it sounds like you were talking to the main reservation people. I have called before and been told that I was talking to in-house, when in actuality it was central reservations. The liars....

I called the number on the site last night, asked for the entertainment rate. :confused3 just like last time...maybe they transferred me cause they put me on hold? Really bummed me out cause I wasn't expecting a rate change, sold out is one thing.
So that is weird that they asked for my card # thought so LOL
I was thinking about calling back this morning. :)

How many can the king suite sleep?

We are booked June 3-9 at the Ent Rate for as many nights as it was available at the time.... which was like Wed/Thurs/Mon/Tues?? and then AAA rate for the other two nights.

I'd call back. I booked the ent rate for June 2nd-5th a long time ago and then had a slightly higher rate for the 5th and 6th. I e-mailed Jennifer yesterday about getting the lower rate for the 5th and she e-mailed back and said no problem for my whole stay! Have not gotten confirmation yet as she said she was out and would do it when she got back in today!!

Call back though...they just added the 5th so can't imagine it changed so soon.

Oh! Great info.. so perhaps I should email as well and see if I can get the Ent rate for the whole stay? Is there a specific email or just the one on their website? Thanks.

If you called at night, then it was most definitely central reservations. In-house keeps regular office hours (8-5 on weekdays), outside of those hours, you automatically get booted to central reservations.

Call back during regular office hours, and ask for Jennifer or Lorealle. They'll help you secure the ent. rate that's mentioned on the site.

I agree with the others call back this morning and talk to Jennifer, she is great we are staying at HoJo's in August and the entertainment rate wasn't showing for our dates but she said as we are going to celebrate my birthday she would extend the $59 rate for me, I was shocked and very very happy....in-house are only there usually from 8am to 6pm mon thru fri

This is another reason why I love the Dis!
If I hadn't checked with everyone here I would have just walked away from visiting DL next week
Good information! Thanks so much everyone for encouraging me to call back and Make Sure I was talking to in-house ressies :)
I called back at 9 am and got Jessica, who was a far cry from the "Jennifer" I got last night. Super friendly and I got the 79$ Disney view rooms for my dates! And no she didn't ask for my ent card number LOL
Woohoo!!! :cool1:
So we are going back I am so excited!

The website shows a few days of the ent rate, sept 1,2 ,3 and we were looking online and entered SD50 as usual but it was pulling up a higher rate than the ent rates. So idk....maybe they are raising it?

*Just rechecked and now it is pulling up 79 but for a king? Perhaps the computer was just being weird the other day. I would call back and double check.

I am pretty sure that if one of your nights does not qualify, none of the nights will show up with the entertainment rate. If all of your nights qualify, then I would just call, I know people have had problems booking the rate online in the past (including me!). :)

Oh I usually do call. But the funny thing was is that it was saying it was the ent rate but was much higher. So Idk, also has it always been 79 for a king? We never book one of those so not sure on pricing.

Huh...that's weird it was saying it was the Entertainment rate. We have a king booked in building 2 and it was $59. As far as I know -- the $79 rate is for the premium view rooms.

That's what I figured. We booked premium rooms so not sure of the other pricing but according to the page it shouldn't be 79. I am just guessing it was a computer error and hopefully the OP called and got it figured out.

The nighttime thing, as Callie mentioned, definitely meant it wasn't the hotel staff...but also there was the step of asking for "in house reservations".

I know you know and you have it sorted, but in case others are reading to learn, you have to call during west coast business hours, ask for in house reservations, and then you should get the right people.
