I'm so glad you got your doggy back. I'd be hearbroken if my pets ran away. I could see myself cancelling a trip to find them!
Dogs have a great sense of where they live. I had a dog that would get lose every so often and would be gone some times for hours but she always came back home. I'm so glad your dog had the good sense to go home or go to someone who knows you.
