$953 gas bill!?!?!?

Needless to say, I about had a heart attack when I opened my gas bill today!!!! $953?!??! I thought nooooooo wayyyyy!!

I ran out to my meter and they apparently read it wrong....3192 instead of 2192! So, they were charging me for 1000 more units than they should've. They are supposed to send someone out Monday to re-read. I just sat and thought "Let's see......last years usage at this time is listed as 3.52 GCF (or whatever) and this year is listed as 38.32 GCF. Did anyone there NOT see a problem with that???

Wow! They'd have to REVIVE me after that!! You were smart to check the meter! I'd be all over them!

A co-worker of mine had a $800 bill last year. Like a jerk (his words) he ran his gas fireplace for heat instead of his gas heat. He'll never do THAT again!
