90% Percent chance of rain this week!

Take time to look at what shows and attractions are inside and a little longer now. In MK Laugh Floor and Country Bears come to Mind. EPCOT Energy, China, American Adventure, and France are indoors and longer. Find some in HS and AK too. Then if really let's loose, head for those to wait out the storm. They will be a little more crowded but generally have room for hundreds of people. Rain generally does not last long in FL monsoon season.

How accurate is the weather? I'm starting to worry...

Have you never been in florida? The forecast always says rain every day.. When you wake up you can look at the hourly and find out what hour it might rain today.. and it's MIGHT. a central florida daily is going to look like impending biblical hitch up the ark but it's not how it rains...

Your just used to anywhere else USA where rain is different. here it's fast quick and it might not even rain on your side of hte street (not a joke, you can literally get rain on 1 side of a street and not the other).

The most interesting weather I come across in FL is sunny storms. There have been many times where the sun is shining so bright I have to wear my sunglasses...yet it's pouring cats and dogs.

So I just posted another thread about the smoke. I too am keeping an eye on the weather, but not too worried about the rain, it wouldn't be Florida in June if it didn't rain at 3:00 every day. I am a little concerned because the weather channel app just showed current status in Orlando as "Smoke". I'm traveling with my mom who has asthma and that won't be good for her.

Rarely are FL thunderstorms all day events. They roll in, clear out the people who freak, and then the park is empty for a while. If you don't mind getting a little wet, you can get a ton done in the rain. Buy the cheap ponchos at home and bring them with you.

No smoke at all around WDW right now. I live 2 miles from the castle and just returned from a trip to DS and BW. No smoke at all near the MK, Epcot, DHS, DS or CSR as I passed each of those on my route.

Its probably one of those "showers every afternoon" thing. I wouldn't worry at all, great time to take a break! Have a lovely time.

Summer in Florida, expect rain every day. For the most part, it comes down quick and goes away quick, no worries!

Get AccuWeather minutecast app. Really accurate information in the moment. Like rain starts in 5 minutes and will last 30 minutes. That way you know how long to plan for.
I have the regular AccuWeather App. Is this a separate app or just something I need to adjust to in settings of the regular app?

ETA: Found it!

The forecast didn't say rain everyday while we were there end of April - first of May!! :) The drought was definitely alive and well! There was one rain (night) while we were there, and a tiny shower during one day. It was great for our 10 days there, but I did wish rain for them - after we left, of course! :D

Also, most of the deep south is the same with the quick storms, especially in spring, summer. That's always the weather in so. LA. I love those quick storms.

I'm glad you found it. I used to have it as a separate app but now only see it as something to click on, on the regular app. Either way works great.

There is currently no smoke in the area. :)

We could really use some rain. I can't believe we went the entire month of April without rain and May has been sparse
Ya my brother lives down there--works at Universal cough cough--he said it's been super dry. Fear not we are headed there in August and we tend to bust droughts on our vacations. Yes we do have those kind of powers :rolleyes1:stir: but drought-busting isn't really a good thing for the vacation itself...
