Called at 7:05 was on hold 48 minutes. Still on phone while
rushing to get to time clock. Could not get even 1 res. that we wanted. I decided to try
again today. I asked the CM how it is possible
to be booked so fast. She explained that the
res. can be booked the day before by other
guests for 10 days. I am still without a res
that we want. I am almost at the point to cancel this trip, but I will keep trying. I just
want a nice trip for my family. I personally
think that the WDW dining res. system is
badly flawed. Too much trouble and headaches. Thanks for letting me get this out
of the way, now I can move on. LOL:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I am sorry that you are so frustrated but I have to say that I can't imagine that there is any ADR that would cause me to cancel my trip if I didn't get it.

Assuming your trying to book dining... have you tried to book online, have you tried different times, days etc.

keep trying...or pick another one. there are over 70 sit down restaurants on the Disney property. I can't even comprehend cancelling a trip because I couldn't get an ADR at a certain restaurant.

And the system isn't perfect but I don't think it's completely flawed. People arriving at Disney before you reserved their 90+10. Simple as that. I don't think Disney should change that policy.

I was able to book an ADR this morning for 90 days out with no problem. I did it online.

There are so many places to eat at Disney, I sure would not cancel because I could not get a reservation somewhere. It would be a chance to try something new.

But I would try booking online instead of over the phone so you can see the other options. And just keep trying.

Another trick is to call or check online again 90 days before the date you want to dine there. Today you're 90 days from check in, but it's 91 days from the first full day of your vacation. Book the restaurant for your first full day tomorrow. Disney holds some tables to release at exactly 90 days so the system is fair for everyone.

Good luck getting what you want!! :goodvibes

I'm so sorry you're frustrated and I do understand. But when it comes to dining at Disney you have to be a little flexible. Try a lunch instead of dinner or try different days. I had been trying to get a ressie at Le Cellier for dinner literally for years; 3 to be exact. But this time I was able to get in for lunch and that was fine!

But I definatey wouldn't cancel the trip just because I couldn't get the ADR's I wanted. Good luck and don't give up.

Just keep trying. Don't get discouraged. You can still have a great trip. People are bound to cancel, so there's still a possibility of getting some of your choices.

Agreed, canceling a trip to WDW because you cant eat a certain place at a certain time.....:scared1:  That’s just silly, sure it can be a bit sad but to call it off, is the food at WDW that good???

I actually like the ADR system, online resies, 90+10 just fine, as a PP stated there are PLENTY of options out there to eat……..;)

Good advice DONT GIVE UP!!!!!

Keep calling, checking online stuff does indeed open up........:thumbsup2

We have been to Disney many many times and ate burgers counter service and had wonderful memories. It's not the food you will remember but the time spent with loved ones.
Good luck and I think you will find ADRs you will enjoy but it is such a small part of the big picture don't cancel over it.

Mind telling us what restaurants/times you were trying for? Maybe someone can suggest some great alternatives.

Wow. Now you've got me wondering what you were trying for.

I called at 90 days, in the middle of Free Dining, and got everything I wanted. Some of the times were off by 20 to 30 minutes but that's no big deal. When I called, I had a back up for the more popular places but didn't need them.

I would never cancel a Disney vacation because I couldn't get my first choices of restaurants. In fact I have a list of places that I would like to go to but don't have enough time. And we'll be there 10 days.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

What restaurant is so important that you'd cancel a trip over?:confused3

My 90 day mark was last Sunday (June 28th). For some reason the online system would just let me book ADRs for the first two days of my trip, so I had to wait until 7:00 ET to call in for the rest. I was able to get everything I wanted (including California Grill on my first night, plus three other Signature meals) and even got Le Cellier twice (lunch and dinner). I just requested the Le Cellier ADRs toward the end of the trip. I knew they wouldn't be available at the beginning, due to the people checking in the days before me having already got first chance at them. I'm leaving my Le Cellier dinner alone, but plan to check back every day to see if I can move the lunch to earlier in the week. If so I'll cancel the lunch ADR I currently have. My point is, keep checking back daily. People are always moving their ADRs around and you never know what will suddenly pop up available.

I can't see not being able to get a certain ADR as any reason to cancel a trip.:confused3 Try for a different time, a different day, or even a different restaurant and keep checking back in case someone cancels.

I understand how frustrating it can be, I called on Monday, which was my 90 day mark, problem was I got a stomach virus in the middle of the night and by the time I got myself together on Monday morning it was 7:45, so I called right away and couldn't get Le Cellier or Ohana during our entire stay, it was booked the WHOLE time, so I was upset, but I just figured out some back ups and we do have all our reservations now. I will keep checking back to see if something opens up, if not, you make the best out of the meals you get, it's being in Disney that makes it a magical vacation!! :thumbsup2

Due to my miscalculation, I was one day late for my 90 day mark. I really wanted to eat at Le Cellier during my trip in September because I could get in on my recent trip two weeks ago. But, nothing was available the whole time we will be at WDW. To be honest, I don't think it would have been available even if I would have called on my exact 90 day mark!!

I have been having a hard time getting ADRs at restaurants I want to eat at. But I'm not stressing about it because I have been to Disney so many times and enjoy so many of their restaurants, that as long as I can get into any of my favorites it will be fine with me. There are lots to choose from.

It does get a little frustrating though and I am sort of tired of planning my park days around table service meals. But that is what it has come to now if you want to eat a nice table service meal. You have to have a reservation or you are usually out of luck. During my recent trip, we tried to change some reservations and it was really hard. While on my trip I decided I really wanted to eat at Sci-Fi because I had a taste for a burger and onion rings. The only time I could get for the whole week was for dinner at 9:40 on a Tuesday night. I took it and it did work out for us (we weren't traveling with kids), but that was really late to eat dinner. It was worth it though because that was the only burger I had on the trip and I never had fries either so the onion rings tasted really good!

I'm also checking on line daily for Le Cellier and Ohana for our trip in September!!

I ate at Le Cellier last week and while I was sitting waiting to be called, I over heard the CM's at the front comment on how "booked' the restaurant was. At one point someone came in for a walk-in and was told that the restaurant was booked solid for the next three weeks, but to keep calling Disney Dining to see if there were any cancellations.

Like others have said, book other restaurants but keep trying for the place(s) you'd really like to eat at. We've called the day before and gotten into restuarants or been able to move an ADR time due to cancellations. You just never know. We've also booked lunches when dinner times were not available.

Keep trying ! I called about three weeks before my trip and was able to get Sci fi which was completely filled up when I called at the 90 day mark.

Thanks for posting your experience. We've had an awful time getting dining reservations and won't buy the dining plan. It seems to just get worse!
