We are planning a trip in June, staying at the Swan and Dolphin. I thought that I read somewhere that the 90 day booking for dining did NOT apply to guests staying at the S&D.:confused3 Is this true? Has anyone had experience with this??

Anyone can book a ressie at 90 days out. Even people not staying on site at all.

Disney resort guests (not SOG, Swan and Dolphin) can book 90+10 -- meaning that if you're staying at a Disney resort, when you reach 90 days from your arrival, you can call and make ressies for not only your arrival day, but up to 10 days usually allowing most people to make all their ressies on that one call. Hope this helps! And have a great trip!

So if I understand, if you are staying 11 days at a Disney resort, you can make ADR's for 10 of those days, 90 days from the date of your arrival.

Then you have to wait 10 days, until you are 90 days away from your 11th day, to make ADR's for that day.

If you can follow that, am I correct?

I believe if you are staying 11 days you can make ADRs for 10 of those days, 90 days from the date of your arrival and then wait one day to make your last ADR.

You can make your reservations 90 days out if you are a Swan or Dolphin guest-BUT you have to call each day for each 90 reservation. If you stay at a Disney resort you can call 90 days out and make 10 days of reservations. I have had to call each day for my April reservations since we are staying at the Dolphin...

What Adelrich posted was correct -- you can make ressies for 90+10, so if you want to make one for the 11th day, or 14th day, or whatever, you just wait till you're 90+10 days from the day you want the ressie. Hope this helps!

Then I'm not sure if I get it

If you are staying at a Disney resort, I thought you were saying you could make reservations 90 days before the date of arrival for the period of 10 days that includes and extends beyond the date of your arrival.

This would mean that if you wanted to make reservations for the 11th day of your vacation, you could do it no sooner than 90 days before the date of the reservation you wanted

What I think I am hearing now is simply that if you are staying at a Disney resort, you could make reservations 100 days in advance, provided your date of arrival is within 90 days.

That means you could make your reservation 90 days before the second day of your 11 day vacation.

Which is correct (if either is correct)?

I'm so confused! :confused3

Not correct. If you're staying at a Disney resort, you have to wait until you are 90 days from arrival to book any reservations. Once you're within 90 days of your arrival date, you can then make ressies for up to 10 days after that 90th day. As each day goes by, you could book again 90+10 because you are in a Disney resort. The key is that you're staying at a Disney resort because your ability to book beyond the 90-day point will be based on whether you have a reservation number for a Disney resort.

Example: Staying at Grand Floridian May 2 - May 16 (two weeks). Can book ressies for May 2 through May 11th on February 2 (90 days from May 2, and then "+10" days after.) Can book reservation for May 12th on February 3rd because I'm staying on site and this would be 90+10 days from May 12th. When I call, I will give them my resort reservation number and they will be able to see my dates. I can reserve 90+10 from any date that I am staying at Disney resort. But I can't book any dining reservation before the 90 day mark of my arrival. Hope this makes sense -- it's hard to convey this type of thing via writing. LOL!

I'm uber confused.... :rotfl:

So do you call the resort or WDW dining?

And does this mean if your first day is a Monday, and you call 90 days before that Monday, you can go ahead and make ressies for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, etc. up to 10 days?

So if you're calling for a ressie at CRT exactly 90 days in advance, it may already be filled up by resort guests who've booked their 90 +10 ressies?

LOL!!! I love that!

You call the dining number. They'll ask you if you're staying on site and what your reservation confirmation number is. If you're not staying on site, they ask for a phone number. So there is some number in the system that they will use to pull up your dining ressies.

And does this mean if your first day is a Monday, and you call 90 days before that Monday, you can go ahead and make ressies for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, etc. up to 10 days?

Yes, exactly. You got it. :)

Remember that for any one meal, not everyone is going to want to have that meal in that specific location. So yes, there will be resort guests who booked ahead of the 90-day mark, but I don't think it would be completely full. I also think that they leave spots open for the 90 day mark.

I think the holiday season (people going for Thanksgiving or Christmas) is when you're most likely to see resort guests making the most of their 90+10 advantage. Anyway, hope this helps!

Ah ha!

If you are within 90 days of the date of your arrival at a WDW resort,
you may book an ADR within 100 days (90 + 10) days of the date of your call.

Now, can you also explain quantum physics to me? JUST KIDDING!!
