then jenny builds a close friendship with his mom only to have jenny and sumit going behind their backs and disrespect their home and culture (premarital sex is a HUGE cultural taboo) just makes me think so much less of both of them. sumit's parents might have been naive initially about the basis of the relationship but even if they could get past the age difference i suspect the deception and manipulation on jenny's part towards them will always be in the back of their minds.

She must have a rebellious personality (spoiled), because I can't imagine someone coming from such an affluent background being okay with living in Ethiopia, not to mention having a baby there. Her mother is awesome. I'm impressed by how respectful and well-mannered she behaved especially when touring the hospital. I would have been freaking out. I certainly wouldn't have been as patient with my daughter if she pulled this nonsense. Then again, my daughter wouldn't put herself in this position in the first place. I doubt my kid would travel to Ethiopia at all, but if she did and even fell in love there, no way would she raise a family there. The father would have to come to her, and if he didn't, too bad.

She's being annoying on the fact that the minute her mom leaves she's all "I don't think I want to stay here". She's not even bothering to give it a chance. If money isn't an issue why doesn't she pay to fix the apartment to how she likes instead of screaming at the poor guy.
