Our upcoming December trip includes myself, DH and our 9 yo DS. We arrive on Sat the 9th (that night is not on the DDP), then we will have the DDP from the 10th thru the 16th. DS turns 10 years old on Dec 11th.

With the recent changes to the children's menus, I'm wondering if we should just ask if DS could be considered an adult and pay for his entire DDP as an adult. I want to make sure I'm being clear that we would ask to pay for the whole trip for adult meals for him.

That way he would have more to choose from and not be limited to the menus I've seen. He's not overly-picky but does like/dislike some certain things (yogurt & granola, sweet potatoes) that are on the kids menu.

So what do you all think? Anyone done this? We aren't lying about his age to get something for nothing, I'd be totally up front about it and let them know it is literally for 1 day before his actual 10th birthday.

Yes, you can pay for him as an adult. My understanding is that you can get the adult meal plan for any age child, but that you then have to pay for adult park tickets. HTH

We have APs that expire on 1/5/06 and we won't be using them beyond this trip at all, not sure if that matters, but we won't.

So they will definitely let us do this as long as we pay the adult pricing, right?
