The Team:
DH: Long suffering one (42)
DD: Beautiful, amusing and very so slightly stroppy (9 going on 19)
MIL: Sexagenarian
FIL: Sexagenarian
Me: Planner, worrier, pessimist (35 – almost)

Although DD proceeded to have a stroppy fit (I think the heat and over-tiredness were beginning to show) at every attraction, I think we still had a good day. This is another favourite park and I could have stayed much longer than we did in the end. First up was the little mermaid – even better than I remember and always brings a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat. DD managed to soften at the sight of countless bubbles being blown into the audience. Next we went to the back lot tour and in an attempt to brighten up DD I volunteer – although at this point I didn’t know what for. Anyway, I soon found out – it was a mock shoot and I was to be the captain of a boat under enemy fire. Three others and me were made to dress in blue waterproofs (I think we’re gonna get wet). Luckily for me it was only large splashes (can you imagine volunteering for something like that and being petrified of water) but the chap playing the engineer got drowned with hundreds of gallons of water raining down on him. I really enjoyed myself and DD luckily did find it amusing.
Next we got a fastpass for Indiana Jones and then went to Star Tours. I think the queue here was longer than it stated on the board and we were beginning to think we wouldn’t make it back to Indy, after a brisk walk we made it with 5 minutes to spare.
Now the one thing I had not done before and was desperate to do was Beauty and the Beast. We began queuing about 45 minutes before the show started and despatched DH and FIL for provisions, about 5 minutes after they left we started to go in. We found a good spot and reserved places for the waiters bringing our lunch – I always feel really guilty doing this, but there were plenty of spaces. FIL returned but DH was still missing and with only a few minutes to spare DD was beginning to panic (I think she was just worried that she’d end up with cold fries). Just a few minutes before the show started DH came in and all was well. The show was amazing and we were so pleased to have seen it.
Instead of watching the parade we went straight into Millionaire and DD did really well, she amazed us all with the things she knew. A quick trip to meet Lilo & Stitch rounded off the day and we headed back to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner.

Tuesday – Lazy day
Apart from laundry and swimming the morning passed uneventfully and it was bliss to not be rushing around. In the afternoon we went to Pointe Orlando, which was a bit disappointing. A shopkeeper said that it was much better at night. For dinner we tried Tony Roma’s which was OK but not on the list of favourites.

Maria princess:

I love the Little Mermaid Show and Millionairre.
