9 Days Until I book for Sept. 2012!!!

I am DYING here!!! Have been planning my daughter's trip since I found out I was pregnant and now... its 509 days away! She will be 5, and already she is SUCH a Disney baby. "Mommy, you're taking me to Disney when I am 5, right?"

Polynesian Resort for 14 glorious days
Florida Resident Annual Passes (already bought those!! Won't redeem them til next year!)
Character dining and fabulous dinners at Brown Derby, Hoop De Doo, the Luau, and more
I have a bag full of "Disney" clothes I've been buying for four YEARS and setting back for this vacation!

It's gonna be the trip of a lifetime for us.

WHY CANT TIME GO FASTER???

BTW..... lost 10 lbs the last 2 weeks. I am SOOOOO getting down to 120 by vacation time.

I am traveling to WDW in August 2012. Are you saying we can book packages in 9 days for late 2012?

You can book room only to secure the hotel you want (in our case, the Poly) and they will take 1 night as a security deposit. Then when the packages come out for next fall (free dining, etc) you can call back with your res # and add the package on. Sweeeeeeeeet

After seeing this, I suddenly freaked out. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find out this information? I just went to the WDW website to check to see if I can book room only for 7/24/12-8/3/12 and it won't let me. Do I have to call? Last I spoke with a CM, they told me I can start booking the week of 8/1 for 2012.

I have spoken to several CM's about this, and they ALL told me that you can book a room only res 500 days out. Now... honestly, I am unsure if that means 500 days from the first day or the last day of your vacation. Hm. Id better call and find out.

i was going to do this as well until someone on the boards said they did it and then had to cancel the ressie when the free dining was added and lost their room!! I called about the contemporary for august 2012 and they have no rooms except for a king. they block rooms because its a convention center. if they dont use them, then they open them up. did they say anything about canceling the original ressie when the package is added??

no, in fact they told me there was no problem adding a package later. i cant imagine they would cancel the res! I'd be furious! I will have to double check, but I know for a fact I was told they could add a package later when packages came out for that time frame.

You can "add" a package IF there is availablity. We did this a few years back. I did have to cancel the original and "rebook" the package.
