9 Days of Magic Trip summary and observations

June 11th
EPCOT Future World and Magic

I am up again before dawn and follow my now daily routine. I get back to the room and everyone is just waking up. They move a little slower this morning!!!! No one wants to take breaks so I go with the flow and it is showing on everyone!!!!

We do make it to the bus stop with plenty of time to make rope drop!!

There are people in line but not too many!!!! Notice the backpack on the guy in front of us!!! A back ache in the making!!!!

They open the gates and we make our way up to where they are making everyone wait. DS2 gets ready for the mad dash to Soarin! He is in and disappears in the crowd!!! The rest of us go to the Living Seas and wait for him out front!!

This new display is really cute but after 10 mins of hearing mine, mine, mine it gets a little irritating. There are very few people here and we decide to do the new Nemo ride when DS2 gets there.

DS2 makes his way over to us holding 6 FPs. He states it was a mad house but he was able to get past the crowd and was one of the first at the machines!!!! The people behind him were a little rude because it took some time for him to put in all of our tickets, but he did it as fast as he could!!!!!

We are all standing there as he approached us and a CM came over and told us we should go to Innoventions East to the Plastic Factory because something magical was about to happen.

Now my son and his wife knew something about the YOMD and the kids had heard a few things, but I had not built this up at all!!! I did not want any disappointments on this trip!!!! I did tell them if any CM says we should go someplace or do anything different we should do it!!!!

So off we go following the CM all the way and she tells other families the same thing on the way too!! We walk in and Wonders of Wonders, They are giving out the YOMD FASTPASSES!!!!! We are all thrilled!!!! Especially DS2, no more running for FPs today!!!!

This just sets us up for a more relaxing day knowing we can ride anything at anytime we want to!! From here we head back to the Seas and ride the Nemo ride and all enjoy it!!!

We head over to Figment and ride and then to Honey I shrunk the Audience! We decide to ride our first time on Soarin!!! This is one of my favorites and we get to ride it twice today!!!!

We are all getting hungry so we eat at Sunshine Terrace. This place is packed and the lines are long but we manage to get food and a table!!! The food here is really good and we all enjoy it. The good desserts from the bakery are not included in the dp and this is disappointing to all of us. We all wanted that fantastic fruit tart and I promise that later I will buy one for everyone. We did have some chocolate cake and a peanut butter cake and they were both really good.

After lunch we ride The Land and we all enjoy seeing the plants growing. I wish I could figure out how they do that!!! What, where are my pictures I know I took some on this ride!!!! I guess I was just taking it all in and forgot to take any!!!!

From here we head over to the other side of the park and to Mission Space. DS2 goes to the orange side and the rest of us go to the green. Poor thing, DGS2 is not tall enough so DDI takes him to the gift shop to wait on us.

This is our first time on this ride and DGS1 is really leary of this with all the warnings they give. I had to force him to ride it!!! When it is done he just loved it and so did DGD. They both wanted to do it again!!!

Now it is off to Test Track. I do not like drops or speed but we have these special FP’s and I let everyone talk me into this.
A little background on my paranoia. As a teenager, I was in several wrecks and I was not driving! The last wreck, I was in the backseat and I had just told the driver that he was going too fast to take the curves when, BANG, the entire car is rolling in the center median. We rolled 3 times. I bit my tongue half off and had glass embedded in my back but luckily no one was seriously injured. The police told us we were lucky to be alive!!!

I know that TT only goes 60 mph and I do that all the time on the freeway but this is different!!!!! I do not have any control!!!!!! The ride is fine and I enjoy it up until the end and the speed test!!!! I scream my lungs out!!!! Now I can say I have done TT and never need to do it again!!!

When I can quit shaking we go over to Ellen’s as none of us have seen this before either. The dinosaurs are fantastic and that makes the rest of this experience worthy of enduring. Needless to say I do not care to see this again but at least we did it once. The way the theater moves is amazing and I can’t say that this attraction is not without merit, it is just that it needs to be updated and make the show portion more interesting.

Next we go to Innoventions East so the kids can build a robot. The all enjoy this and get to take their robots with them.

We have used all but one of our Dream FP’s and everyone agrees that we can do Maelstrom on our second day at EPCOT because it is getting close to dinner time at LeCellier! We take our second ride on Soarin on our way to dinner!!!

We take our time walking to Canada and stop in several shops along the way. We make our ADR in plenty of time.

Everyone has been looking forward to this meal and it is the first time here for everyone but me.

This is one of the best restaurants in the whole World, in my opinion and truly enjoy the food!!! We are seated and they bring the breadsticks. They have to bring us the pretzel breadsticks 3 more times!!!! Everyone agrees that these are the best!!! The cheddar cheese soup is wonderful too! The steaks are the best!!!!

We all enjoy this meal, especially DS2!!!

All of us adults have the Crème Brulee sampler for dessert and the 2 older kids have the smores. DGS2 gets the make you own sundae and is very happy with that. All of the desserts are to die for!!!!!!!

We are all stuffed when we finish!!! We slowly make our way to the front of the park. We did not take a break again today and everyone is ready to go back to the resort. Again there is a short wait for the bus and plenty of seats for everyone.

We walk up to our rooms on the second floor and this is what we see in the windows!!!

We open the door and this is the scene on one of the beds!!

Mousekeeping is doing a beautiful job!!!! The kids get excited every evening just to see how things are arraigned in the rooms and windows!!!

This was a truly MAGICAL DAY!!!!

We watch a little TV and the kids play with their new toys for awhile and again we all have no problems falling asleep. My head hits the pillow at 9 pm and I am out!!!!

June 12th
Typhoon Lagoon and MGM again

The kids had all been talking about doing a water park during the planning stages of our trip. I was totally against this!!!! We should spend all of our days in the parks riding rides and meeting characters!!!! How can a water park be part of the Disney experience????

I caved in and planned one morning at Typhoon Lagoon knowing full well that this was a mistake!!!!!

Was I ever WRONG!!!!!!!!

We get up and have breakfast in the room again and off to the bus stop. EMH starts at 8 am and we are trying to make it before then. The bus this morning is running late for Typhoon Lagoon and it shows up at 7:45. When we arrive the gate has just opened and we make it inside just after opening.

First thing we get a life jacket for DGS2. There is no charge for this!!!! Then we go find us our base of operations, so to speak. We have no trouble finding a spot in front of the Wave Pool.

The water is still cool and we decide to do the family raft ride to get wet!!!

This was soooo much fun!!!! With 6 of us we had to take 2 rafts. We all really enjoyed this one!!! Maybe a water park can be fun!!!! My thoughts are changing now!!

We decide to go ahead and do the Shark Reef before there is a long line. We did not take any cameras with us and now we all regret that decision.

All 6 of us get our snorkeling masks and head down for our intro. I love to swim and have always wanted to go snorkeling, so I was really looking forward to this!! Now we told all 3 kids they had to do this!!!! We were given our instructions and now it is time to enter the water!!!! Just to dispel some rumors….there is no glass between us and the sharks!!! Ok the next instructor tells us how to navigate, no diving, no kicking, and that the water temp is 64 degrees!! On hearing this we had a rebellion on our hands!!!! All 3 kids dip their toes in and right back out!!! By this time I am totally in the water and tell them it is not that bad!!! I think my adrenalin is pumping because the temp did not bother me at all!!!! It is a no go for all 3!!! DS2 and I start swimming and DDI stays to try and talk the kids into the water.

This is soooo cool!!!!! “ I can do this!!! Breathe thru your mouth, dummy!” Now I am getting water inside my mask. I raise my head and dump the water out and tighten my mask! This is better, salt water burns your eyes!!!! I can do this!!!!! I see a few tropical fish and they are beautiful!!! No sharks yet!! I bear to the left of the underwater island and see more fish!!!

I am almost to the end, and “What is that?” Two feet in front of me is a Hammerhead Shark!!!! Whoa!!!! I stop and let him move out of my way! That was sooo cool!!!!!!!

I am at the end of the swim and now time to get out. This was really hard for this grandma!!! There are no steps and you have to lift your fat --- out of the water and onto a ledge then standup. I do make it with no help!!!

DS1 is now getting out and we look for DDI, she is half way across and the kids are watching us from the bridge! They all chickened out!!!!

This was just the most fun thing I have ever done!!! All 3 of us are on cloud nine talking about what we saw!!!! We would have gone again but the line was getting longer and the kids wanted to do some more of the slides. If you ever have a chance to do this you should!!! I loved it!!!!

DGS2 and I head for Kiddiecatchee Creek while the other 4 head out to do the slides that DGS2 is not tall enough for.

We start walking and we are next to the exit for the family raft ride, when I see 2 CM’s going up the exit. Hmmmmm! They are in gray pants and light blue shirts and have bags on their shoulders. What could this mean?

Grandma has a great idea, “ Do you want to do the family raft ride, just you and grandma?” DGS2 says “Great idea Grandma!!!” up the entrance we go. There is no line!!!!

The only thing is we have to take that huge raft to the top!!! I can do this!!! With much struggle, pushing and pulling we make it to the top!!!! DGS2 is laughing all the way down!!! This is one of my favorites too!!!

We get out and head for the exit. There is one CM standing there and she says “Good Morning” and we go down about 5 steps and there is the other CM. “Congratulations you have won the Dream Lanyard”. Now DGS2 is my little pin trader and this is a really big thrill for him!!!! He is smiling from ear to ear!!! My heart just melts thinking about it!!!

Now we can’t swim with these Lanyard so back to our base to hide them in our towels. He wants to surpise everyone!!!

By the time we get back to the kiddie area DS1 has been looking everywhere for us. I tell him what happened and that DGS2 wants to play for a while. The rest of the group heads for the wave pool and we will meet them there shortly.

DGS2 wants to do the small kids rapid ride. This is really neat because he can carry his tube and do it all by himself. I get dizzie as he goes round and round. About 50 trips later I talk him into meeting the others so we can do the other slides.

We all ride all of the slides and love every one of them!!! I did not do Crush n Gusher or Humunga Kowabunga!!!

We all go to the wave pool!!!

Now I did not want to get in!!! My 2 older grandkids convince me otherwise!!! I am about knee deep when the first wave hits me and I stand my ground!!!!

I go out a little further and again the wave comes in and I am fine!!!! Ok this isn’t so bad!!!

I decide to be brave and face the next wave coming in…..BIG MISTAKE!!!!......water up the nose and I am doing flips in the water!!! I come up, coughing, spluttering, laughing at the same time and that makes it hard to get a breath!!!! The kids, my son and daughter in law are laughing their heads off!!!!! I learned my lesson, turn your back!!!!!

Here is me and DGS2 after another wave caught us!!!!

We had a great time at Typhoon Lagoon!!!! It is now 11:30 and we have done everything even the lazy river!!!! We are all starving so we go to the snack shack next to Typhoon Tilly’s and get hot dogs for lunch. I was either starving or that was the best hot dog I have ever had!!! For dessert we each get a waffle cone and those things were huge!!!!

The park is really filling up, tons of people are coming in as we go out!!! We catch the bus and back to CSR.

OK, I was dead wrong!!!! I will always plan at least one water park morning from now one!!!!!!

We all shower and get ready to go to MGM for dinner at Hollywood and Vine. The buses are all on time and very little wait, again!!!

Our ADR is for 4:50 for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. We have some time before dinner and we hit Star Tours and get FP’s for RNR and TOT for the brave 3.

We check in right on time and we wait and wait and wait to be seated. This was all in the sun on the patio. The umbrellas were not opened and were fastened down where we could not raise them either!! It is HOT!!!!! Finally they call my name. We are seated and get our drinks then off to the buffet.

Now last year this was a very good meal but this year the food is not very good!!! We are seated next to a family that is rather loud and their son about 13 yrs old, knocked over his drink and the dad cursed him really badly. I felt so sorry for the boy!!

DGS1, 13 yrs old, goes to get another plate of food. My back is to the buffet line and I hear a big Crash, Bang….YUP he dropped a plate full of food, right in the floor!!!!! We a give him a big high 5 when he gets back to the table and tell him what a good job he did!!! Accidents will happen!!! I hope the other dad was watching.

We finish up and decide this will be the last time for this buffet!!!

On our first day here we did not do One Man’s Dream so we head over there. I have never gone thru this exhibit before and I really did enjoy it!!

This is the year I was born!!!

We also did the Narnia exhibit!

Narnia was just OK. It really was a big commercial for the next movie.

From here we head back toward TOT because it is time for the FP’s. The 3 brave ones go to TOT and the boys and I head over to Star Tours. There is only a 10 min wait time so we head straight in. Another Awesome ride for all of us!!!!

Now we still have 30 mins for the RNR FP and another hour and half till Fantasmic!!! I am worn out!!!! DDI says “Are you really wanting to see Fantasmic?” I reply “Time for a family vote!” No one wants to stay!!! We are all worn out.

We head for the front gate and we watch for a family of six coming into the park. Guess what? We find one and I give them the special ticket to Fantasmic!!! They are thrilled!!

We still have 3 FP’s for RNR and DGD is on the look out for someone to give them to. She spots 2 young men just getting off of the bus and gives them the FP’s. That leaves one for the scrapbook!!!

Heads are nodding on the bus and we all fight sleep on the way to the resort!!!

We are all in bed by 9:30!!!!

June 13th
EPCOT World Showcase and the Kitchen Sink

We were going to sleep in a little but everyone wants to do a few rides in Future World this morning so we are up and out the door to make rope drop!!!! The bus is right on time!!!

As we wait for rope drop, everyone is talking about how much fun we had at Typhoon Lagoon, and we all want to go back!!! We have an ADR for tomarrow morning at 8:05 for Crystal Palace so it is decided that we will cancel it and try out Blizzard Beach!!!!

I make the call and also cancel out our ADR for Garden Grill for tonight. We did not want to have to walk all the way back to Future World for dinner and we will just do a CS. Yeah!!!!! We are free for the day!!!

We make our way into the park and DS2 goes for another FP for Soarin and we meet him at the Living seas. We did not tour this on our first day so we all take our time and look at all the fish and Dolphins!!!!

We had not planned on doing Crush but it was almost time for the first show and there was lot’s of room in the line, so in we go.

DGD and DGS2 sit up front with the rest of the kids and we cannot see them. Crush calls on a little dude, and it is DGS2!!!! He asks the now famous question, “Where do baby turtles come from?” Last year when I was with the other set of grandkids this same question was asked and Crush just told the kid he would have to talk to his mom and dad. It was very funny!!!

Well this year Crush gave a whole explanation of how the mommy turtle would lay eggs in the sand, some in cool sand and some in hot sand. That is why Dudes are cool and Duddettes are hot!!! It was very funny!!! We all enjoyed the show!!

From here we head over to Mission Space so DDI can ride and I stay outside with DGS2.

Then everyone wants to ride TT again so I sit out this time. Been there, done that!!!!!

We really took our time this morning and just enjoyed the park It is close to 11 am and everyone is getting hungry. We decide to head over to Beaches and Cream for lunch!!!

We take our time and stop in several shops along the way and make it thru the International Gateway.
DDI says which resort is this at and I reply “The Boardwalk”. We cross the bridge and walk to the Boardwalk and cannot find it anywhere. Guess what…I was WRONG again. Beaches and Cream is at the Beach Club, clear across the water!!!!! We back track and make it over just before the kids mutiny!!!!

This is a very small place and we have to wait to be seated. It really does not take very long!!!
The burgers are extremely good!!!!

DGS2 ate one of his before I could take this picture of the childs plate!!!!

Now for dessert!!!!! The Kitchen Sink!!!! Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Coffee, and Mint chocolate chip ice cream, every topping that is in the place (including, candy bars, angel food cake, and brownies), a whole can of whipped cream and a jar of cherries!!!!!

The kids have looked forward to this for a year now!!!!

The lights in the restaurant flash off and on and the waitress carries it around showing everyone that a brave family is going to try and finish this thing!!!! This is the moment of truth!!!!

Their eyes bug out at this sight of this wonderful creation!!!!

Let the gorging begin!!!!

The more we eat the less appetizing it looks but it is still good!!!!

And we can hold no more!!!!! We did pretty good!!!

Now don’t let these last photos sway you if you want to try this. It is was worth every penny!!!!!

The kids enjoyed this tremendously!!! Us grown up kids did too!!!! We all waddle out and slowly walk back towards the World Showcase!!!

Back thru the Gateway to start going thru the different countries….very slowly!!!

Now we can just do what we want, we have never had a chance to go thru each country!!!

First up is France, where we run into Sleeping Beauty!!

We also saw Serveur Amusant, the comical waiter. He was very good!!!

It is really nice to have the time to go thru all of the shops!! We did not buy anything here as it was a little pricey for me and the perfume shop gave me a slight headache!!!!

Next is Morocco. We really enjoyed looking thru all of the shops here!!!

We decided to start doing the hats of the world with DGS2!!! He did not like this but he went along with us anyway!!!!

We were waiting in line for Jasmine, Genie and Abu when MoRockin started playing!!!

Genie was really funny with the kids!!!!!

Jasmine and Abu were great too!!!

Next up is Japan!! We really enjoyed going thru the huge shop here!!! So much to see! I got my daughter in law, that was at home, some tea and a really nice cup for loose tea!!!! I also found some candy Sushi for the granddaughters at home too!!! That was really unusual!

I love to chat with the different CM’s working in each of the countries, they are so interesting!!!

We also saw Matsuriza, the Japanese drummers!!!

The kids just love watching the fish in the Koi pond!!!

We all truly enjoyed Japan!!!!

Next up is The American Adventure!!!!

I have really looked forward to this as I have never seen it and I was not disappointed!!! The kids, on the other hand, did not feel the same way!!! Everyone should see this at least once!

We got to hear Voices of Liberty and the Fife and Drum Corp!!!

Abu was really funny with the kids and he was dancing with the music from MoRockin. He was really fun!!! I hope you get to meet him!!!

Typhoon Lagoon was so much fun we decided to go again on our last morning!!!

On to Italy!!! This is really pretty!!! I love the buildings and statues!!!!

We are all feeling so good!!! It is so nice just to take our time for a change!!!

Germany!!!! Land of my grandfather!!!!

Now my DS2 has started a tradition here. He has to have a bratwurst in Germany on each trip!!! Ok this is meal no 2 for him!!!

No one else is hungry yet!!!!

Not much here but enjoyable to watch the wood carver.

China is one of our favorites!!!

I have been looking forward to seeing the exhibit of the Tomb Warriors and It was really interesting!!!!

We really enjoyed going thru this and the shops!!! The kids liked catching the tiny frogs!!! They were really careful with them!!

This is really nice, not having to worry about being someplace at a certain time!!!

Norway!!!

We get to Norway and get a FP for Maelstrom and have some time to pass before our ride. We tour the Stave Church and DGS1 spends a lot of time reading every plaque in here!!! He really enjoys reading about the Eric the Red and all the others!!!

It is about 6 pm and we all feel a little hunger pain so off to the bakery. The kids each get a cinnamon roll and we get School Bread and the Fruit tart that we wanted for lunch the other day. Guess what everything is on the dining plan as a snack!!! We can’t get it for dessert but we can get it for a snack, go figure!!!!

We finish our snacks and head inside for our ride.

After our ride we head to Mexico. We do El Rio del Tiempo, the boat ride, and I really like the changes they have done!!! We enjoy looking around in the market!!!

It is just before dark and we have a little time before Illuminations so we decide to eat at Cantina d San Angel. Tacos and Charro’s for everyone!!!!!

We did enjoy this counter service and decide to get a spot for the fireworks but not in here with all these umbrellas.

We walk to the bridge and watch from here. It was not the best spot but we did enjoy the show!!!

The crowd is huge and thundering toward us!!!! We head to Mouse Gears as fast as we can go!!! Now is a good time to do some shopping while the rest of these people leave!!! We spend a good hour shopping and finding gifts for people at home and when we finally leave we are no long in fear of being trampled!!! We make it to the buses and there is a line but not like it would have been.

Now if you want to do the World Showcase this is the way to do it!!! Take your time and enjoy each and every country!!! We all really enjoyed this day.

Again we had no trouble falling asleep!!!

June 14th
Blizzard Beach, MK, and Whispering Canyon

We are up early and trying to make it to BB for opening!! DS2 wants to be the Big Khuna!!!

The bus gets there early today and we get to the park well before opening. We are the second family in line!!! No luck for DS2 today. That is ok because they chose the little boy in front of us!!!

We are waiting for the gate to open and talking with the CMs. The clock says 8 am but no one is let in, my DDI yells “MOVE THAT BUS!”. The Cms bust out laughing and one of them brings her an honorary citizens badge!!!! We are told they can’t let us in until security clears it and they are waiting on that call. They were all really fun talking to everyone!!! The call comes in and we go straight to get lifejacket for DGS2.

Now just to recap a little. We did TL for the first time this week and it was really fun and full of surprises. We were expecting the same thing here.

We stake out our base of operations right in front of the bobbing pool and off we go!!

We decided to get wet on Teamboat Springs, the family raft ride. This was really nice because no stairs, you take the Ski Lift!!! We get a closeup view of Summit Plummit on the lift and everyone decides against it!!!!

The rafts on this ride are really big and we all fit into one!!!

Down we go, this was a really great ride and everyone enjoys it even me!!!!!

The big kids want to do the other 2 slides that DGS2 isn’t tall enough for so I take him to the Ski Patrol Training Camp so he can do the small slide and walk on the icebergs!!!

Now I thought he would have trouble with the icebergs and watched every step he took!!!! What can I say, my grandkids can do everything!!!! He was sooooo proud of himself and so was I!!!!

The others have finished up and want to go back to the Toboggan Racers again because DGS2 is tall enough for it and they think I will like it too!!!

Off we go, what is with all of these stairs!!!! We go up then down 3 steps and then up again.”Will this never end” I am thinking. I was about to die before we got to the top!!!! Knees are getting weaker and ankles are aching!!!! Then I find out you go down on your stomach on a tiny thin little mat!!!!!!! Everyone shows me how to get on the mat. Most of them push off and are on their way down. I am stuck at the top!!! I push and push and go nowhere!!! HOW EMBARASSING!!!.. Finally I scoot and push, and scoot and push and go down the slide!!! They are all waiting for me at the bottom!!!!

NEVER AGAIN WILL I RIDE THE TOBOGGAN RACERS!!!

They all want to ride the Snow Stomers so I wait at the bottom for this one!!!

My legs are just getting back to normal and we decide to walk around to Runoff Rapids. They talk me into riding this one!!! Again with the stairs!!! Up, Up, Up we go and there go the knees again!!!! The stair at TL were not this steep and not this hard to go up!!! I finally make it to the top and get on my raft and hold on for dear life, it really was not that bad at all!!!

Here is DS1 and DGD.

We go to the lazy river and float all the way around the park!! This is very nice and relaxing!!! “Oh look at the water fall we get to go thru! #@*&%# THIS IS ICE WATER!” What a shock to this old body!!!! All long there are water falls and water sprays and they are all ICE WATER!!!! The kids loved it!!!!

From here we head to the Bobbing pool. Everyone has gone on every slide except for the big one, and no one will do it!!! Some of the slides they did more than once.

We play a little while in the gentle bobbing pool and decide it is time to go.

DGS2 is not happy with this decision!!!!

Now we have been in WDW for seven days now and only one afternoon break! This is the only melt down he had during our entire trip and just because he did not want to go!!!! I think that was pretty good!!!!

DDI gets him calmed down and we start to leave the park. Poor little guy is worn out!!!

We are all starving and decide to go straight to Pepper Mill for lunch!!! We have on t-shirts over our bathing suits and don’t want to take time to change because we are sooooo hungy!!!

The bus picks us up and we get off at the main building. It is hot and we all feel pretty good because we are still damp!!!

We are seated and go get our food and once we start eating we notice that the AC is on high in here!!! All at once we are all freezing!!! This meal we do not linger over because we cannot wait to get outside!!!!

It is only about 11:30 now and we have plans before our dinner at Whispering Canyon at 7:30!!!

DS2 and DGS2 want to go fishing!!! The only place they can do that at is at Wilderness Lodge so we all clean up and head for Mk. DS2 and DGS2 take the boat to the lodge and the rest of us head into MK to do some serious shopping!!!

The 4 of us head into every shop on Main Street and then hit Tinkerbells and Winnie the Pooh and back around to the gift shop at Pirates. Money goes so fast in all of these!!!

DDI’s cell phone rings and it is DS2 they made it to the lodge but cannot fish there!!! They have to go to the campsite by bus and to the dock there to fish. DGS2 insists that they fish so they are off on their adventure!!!

OK, the 4 of us spot Aloha Isle and we have not tried the Dole Whip float so we get one. We all know this will upset the other two but we do it anyway. This means we get to have one twice!!!! We are so smart!!!!!!

This afternoon was really fun not worrying about getting on rides or getting fps and we all just looked to our hearts content!!!!!

It is about 5 pm and the cell phone rings again. DS2 and DGS2 are on the boat back to MK. They finally got to fish a little bit and DGS2 spent most of his time catching tadpoles!!! They are both happy to see all of us. We meet them at the boat dock and then go back thru security and into the park.

We tell them about the Dole Whips and we were right, we have to go straight to Aloha Isle and we all have one!!!!

Now I don’t know why but I did not get any picture while in the park this afternoon!!

We get in line for Pirates and left side is going really slowly but the right line is a walk on so we go under the rail and straight thru to the ride!!! We all love this ride!!! The dirty foot pirate is the boys’ favorite!!!

We did get to do a few other rides but for some reason my brain is a little foggy on exactly what!!!

It is now time to catch the boat for Wilderness lodge and dinner at Whispering Canyon! We all enjoyed going on the launch and being on the water!!!

The Wilderness Lodge is really beautiful!!! It is our first time here and we truly enjoyed looking around while we wait for our table.

We have all been looking forward to this meal!!! They seat us and our waitress gets our drink order and we wait!!! The drinks come out and she takes our food order, the skillet of course, and we wait again. The atmosphere is great and DGS2 and DGD take part in the pony races and have a really good time!!!

We watch as people ask for ketchup and a table clear across the room has to bring all of it to them!!!!

Now our waitress is far from accommodating!!!! We finally get our food!!

The food is wonderful!!!!!! We all enjoy the ribs, especially DGS2!!

At this point we all need refills on our drinks and our waitress has not come back to our table at all!!! We finally flag down another server and he brings us more drinks!!!

We can see our waitress at another table about 4 down from us and she spends the entire time chatting with that one table!!! We have to wave our arms to get her attention to bring a refill of the ribs!!!!

It takes forever to get the ribs!!!! Again she is at the other table and giving them her full attention!!!! She finally comes over to get our dessert order!!! Again this takes forever!!!

Tables all around us are getting their food, eating and leaving!!!! By the time we take care of the bill with the DP, we have been here almost 2 hrs!!!!! If we had not been on the dining plan she would not have gotten a tip at all!!! We finally get out of there!!!

Now don’t get me wrong…the food was wonderful and so was the atmosphere…it was just the luck of the draw on our waitress. If you go please ask for a good waiter or waitress!!!!!

We rush to catch the boat to MK to try and make our bus before Wishes is over!!!!

Over all this was a really good day and we decided, at dinner, that we would go to Typhoon Lagoon first thing in the morning!!!

We like TL much better than BB. There is a lot more to do there and the stairs to the slides are much more user friendly!!!!

We do make it to our bus before Wishes is over and fight sleep again on the way to the resort!!!

Wonderful report!!! I am really enjoying it. My mom always comes with us and she enjoys it as much as the kids do.

I am looking forward to a shopping trip at the Magic Kingdom with my mom and DD! Your spending sounds like ours......money just seems to fall out of our wallet and like the calories at WDW nothing seems to matter!
