Glad ya'll love the Haunted Mansion!!! Isn't it the creepiest fun ride you ever did? I have loved that since I was a little girl!!! When I was a kid, they didn't have the murdering bride up in the attic....she's terrible! ha!!
I know we have talked about it in the past...can't remember now..what kind of camera do you have? I am thinking about a new one...I have a Canon and I looove it, but they have one with better zoom quality and just a bit better I think than the one I have...just curious...your pics are all looking great!!!

Yes, the HM was very neat! I'm so glad we finally got to see what it is all about! Once the kids got past the first room they were fine and thought it was more funny than scary!

I have a Sony Cybershot and I love it!! DH got it for me last Christmas. It's awesome and takes great pictures in the dark and fireworks too!

Sorry for the delay. Been very busy around here with school plays, school parties, things going on at the Church, family get-togethers, and some other things.

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and no one got snowed in this weekend! We got a little snow, but nothing major.



Wednesday November 11th continued ~


After we were done on the POTC we went over to the Jungle Cruise. Wait time said 20 minutes, but we waited more like 30. The line just seemed to weave on back and forth and go on forever!

Eventually we made it onto a boat! DS10 just loves this ride. We had a pretty funny boat captain and a nice time.

Next it was time for a Dole Whip Float! I had been waiting for this the whole trip! But not before stopping to play in the water of course!

The line at Aloha Isle was very long and very slow moving. But of course very well worth it in the end! I am the only one who got a pineapple Dole Whip float, the rest of them just got vanilla dole whip. They don't care for the pineapple. I know, I can't believe it either!

While it was not hot that day, it was humid. The Dole Whip's were melting fast.

Up next was the Swiss Family Treehouse. We had never done this before, but the kids had recently seen the movie and wanted to do it. Of course there was no wait for this. They thought it was very neat!

Next Up: Tomorrowland, Cosmic Ray's dinner, and our first time on Cinderella's Golden Carousel!

Glad you finally made it to MK- I was getting worried there for a minute. Your boys were very brave trying HM!

I don't get the Star Wars thing either. DH watches it with DS but that's only because he has to fast forward certain parts that are a little too intense. We've only let him watch bits and pieces of the original movies. Not the new stuff- too aggressive for me yet.

Mmmmm I want me a Dole Whip now!

Dole Whips! Yum!! We have never gone on the Swiss Family Treehouse before but think we will next year since my GS will be 3 yrs old then. I wanted to last visit but I was solo the day I was at MK and felt silly going on it as an adult.

Dole Whip - I think there is too much fuss about this, and got my expectations up. They're good, but not sure if I would get another one .
Glad you posted, when I saw no posts over the weekend I was going to PM you to make sure all was ok, .
I also agree with you on the JC queue, very deceptive the zig zag line area that never ends. We FP it and still wait!

I love the Treehouse- but oh my stars when I see those antiques out there subjected to the air- my heart sinks just a bit. I'd love to take that barley twist gate leg table and put it into my home.


This dole whip pic looks even better than the last TR you did. Ummm- I'm a melted ice cream type of girl! It looks sooooooooooo good.

Have you found that place there that sells them???????? Do I need to tell it to ya again? It's only five minutes from the mall.



Have you done JC at night? It's the best!

Great update! I cannot believe that in our Disney trips that we have never been to the Treehouse OR had a Dole Whip! I think that Dole Whips will be in order in March! Looking forward to reading about your experience at Cosmic Ray's---we have never been there either! I think that we just go back to the same places because of good experiences, but I think it's time to branch out!

It was funny for me to see your jungle cruise pictures -the last two times we've ridden it's been dark - it looks so different! I really like JC, but the CM makes all the difference. Even if they're telling the same jokes, it is in the delivery. Our last one was a fast-talker, harder to understand.
Yum on the Dole Whip float! Last time I just got the regular soft serve in a cup - DH got it, so I can't complain. It was good just the same!

Well I can't believe that either! You'll just have to do both of them since they are very close to one another. After you climb the Treehouse you can sit down and relax with your very first Dole Whip!

This was our first time at Cosmic Ray's. I have to tell you we weren't really impressed. It wasn't terrible, but it was just average. I guess I was expecting it to be better because of all the great things I had read about it.

I used to just get the regular pineapple Dole Whip in a cup, but then I discovered the float in January. It's even better!

Call me a freak, but I've never had a Dole Whip float, either. I have to admit, it looks yummy! I'm not a big pineapple fan, except that I love the pineapple filling in buttercream frosting birthday cakes. And that's another one of those things I try to convince my kids they will like, with no success. "Come on, I don't like pineapple either, but this is different!" So I really should try a Dole Whip the next time - whenever that will be - we are in WDW.

I was thinking the same thing about the kids and JC at night, but now that they have conquered the HM they should be able to handle anything!!

Well okay -- freak!! I can't believe so many people haven't had a famous Dole Whip! When I didn't have one on our first WDW trip (we somehow missed all of Adventureland, don't ask ) I thought I was the only one in the world (okay, on the DIS) who hadn't had one!

I sure hope you get to WDW soon and get a Dole Whip when you are there!

I completely agree!!!! I remember how mad at me everyone was when I came back after our honeymoon and I said that I thought that the Dole Whips were 'good' but... IDK. I just expected something SO AMAZING because of all the hype.

But, I vote to try it again! I did and I enjoyed it the 2nd time a lot more because I wasn't expecting sooo much.
