October 30th....Day #7
Woke up pretty early today and headed back to MK to finish up shopping there and riding everything we wanted to and catching more characters. MK is my DS favorite place because it has the most rides that he is able to ride. (remember he's 2)
Lunch...a wonderful Turkey leg from Liberty square. *YUMMY* My favorite lunch of all time. DS and DH had hot dogs from casey's corner (again)
Snack..we snacked alot today..mostly fudge from that sweet shop on main street (you HAVE to try the peanut butter fudge...OMG the best), DH had a caramel apple. I finally had a Dole whip. It wasn't what I expected.. (I had the pineapple soft serve) but it was VERY VERY good.
Dinner- MK was open until 10:00 tonight because there were no MNSSHP. So we decided to hang around the park since we had missed so much during the MNSSHP. I really had no clue where we should try to get PSs'. We were pretty buffetted out. So we had lunch at our usual "eatery" in MK..Cosmic ray's. This time we all had burgers. VERY VERY good burgers I must add. Even DS ate his! Again..this fixins' bar is INCREDIBLE!
We ended up leaving MK around 9pm to get back to the hotel for some much needed sleep.. Tomorrow's Halloween. *YIPPEE*
Oct 31st Day #8
Halloween!
We slept in today since we knew we would probably be out late. We went to MK again...just to see if they would be doing anything special for Halloween..or if more villians were out. No such luck. I guess they save it all for the Halloween party. I do wish we could have seen more villians though. We ate lunch in the MK and then headed off to MGM for my husbands last ride of Star Tours. (Still no line) We then headed back to POFQ to get ready to go out to DTD for Halloween.
It was unbearably hot..so I opted NOT to put DS in his Buzz costume. He wore his MNNSHP t shirt during the day and his "trick or treat " shirt from the disney store at night.
THis was the only time I had a problem with the disney transit system. We waited about 20-25 min for a bus to take us to DTD (we had found that the boats took forever to go back and forth) One bus came..it was standing room only (when it arrived) and with a DH with a bad hip and a DS that is all over the place we couldn't do that. (Standing room only??? I thought we at POFQ were always the first stop) We didn't see a bus after that. So we headed down to the boat dock. WE did get a boat quickly and it was a nice ride to DTD..but what's up with the busses???
Anyway..I was afraid we would have a wait at Planet Hollywood..(it was around 7pm) but we didn't. We walked right in ...had ANOTHER family photo taken (this time we didn't buy it..DH eyes were closed) and headed in. I LOVE PH. The music was loud..everyone was dressed up. It was great. I had the blue cheese steak. *YUMMY* DH had a steak to and DS had Pizza. He loved it.
We left PH and headed into The "club" part of DTD...Lot's going on there..but nothing good for a 2 year old. We found our way to MarketPlace and finished our shopping for the trip. Even though DS was not really "in costume" he STILL got tons of candy. One CM saw that he only had a couple of pieces of candy in his "Mickey Pumpkin" and she filled it up! (I had to empty it so we could fit more in there) We headed back to the resort via boat around 10:30pm. We had to pack. Our towncar was going to be picking us up at 9:45am to go to the airport *blah* Last day to continue....
