9/7/06 10 night Wonder Southern Caribbean "Cruising in WONDERland!"

Cool picture of the Wonder!!! Wishing everyone a safe trip who are either on their way or will be soon! We will see you all on Thursday!!

I got our stuff mailed out, with the exception of the wine. I live in a dry county and no liquor in or out. So they wouldn't let me ship it. The nearest wet town to me is about 30 miles so I might try this weekend to find a place to send it out from. If not, I might drink it all before I leave. Yeah right, have I mentioned I don't drink so most likely it will go to waste.

On another note, my mother goes in for surgery on her galbladder tomorrow morning. It should be a simple surgery, but she is a mirror twin and things NEVER goes as simple as they would on a normal person. It's a last minute procedure so wish us luck.

OK - I've got about 20 small packets made up with fibers & other small goodies Also around 20 of the Flagbook kits.... not much room left for paper! I'll bring 2 Sizzlet alphas - Nouveau and Azure - for anyone who wants to use them to cut titles to take home, and the castle & 2 Mickey punches. We leave tomorrow for Orlando

If anyone still needs to buy a swimsuit, check out Marshalls...I was able to pick up two for $7.00 and $10.00 , and they weren't cheap ones....The store had about 3 full racks with tons of swimsuits in the $7-$14 dollar range....

Nmae tags aredone and placed in the bagde holder. If anyone wants to pick up thier name tags in the terminal before boarding, we plan to be near the windows that are between the cafe and the entrance to get on the ship. Look for two people with jean shirts with all our first time cruises listed on the back. We will be at the DIS meets before and after the lifeboat drill. If we miss you, we will try to drop them off to the cabins if the roster has numbers. LESS THAN A WEEK TILL WE CRUISE!!! Alex

I saw on the news that the launch was scheduled for September 6th. As long as it isn't pushed back again our port should be clear.

The wedding pics were absolutely amazing. I cannot even imagine such a wedding! It is like a true dream! Thanks for sharing.

Still working here to get scrapping stuff done for the trade. Is anyone doing trading cards, or are we just doing stuff? I got some really neat things and am looking forward to sharing ideas!

Fish extender stuff came today and my kids are mad at me because I said it is for me and the cruise and not for them.

Everyone who is taking off here in the next few days, travel safe and have lots of fun!!!

Steve, can I copy the pirate thing, too, for my door?

Also, can I use our cruise logo to iron on shirts for the cruise???

A big thank you to each and every one of you who have volunteered to do anything for this get together. No matter how big or small, you are appreciated!!!!

I, for one, am so excited about this cruise. It is my first ever cruise after 8+ trips to WDW, and I know that it will be extra special because of people that I have met here on the boards!!!

In addition to the fibers & stuff, I've put 2.15" x 4.5" tags with a pic & info about me into the bags - something simple, but nice.

The Flagbook kit/class will be first come/first served - I don't have a list of who to expect, so that's the only way I can figure to do it. When the ones I'm bringing (24 or so) are gone, they are gone!

Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend beside packing??? We have a big festival here. We have free concerts. The entertainment this year is Dennis DeYoung of Styx, Christopher Cross, and Lt Dan Band (Gary Sinese Actor). This 3 day event usually attracts 300,000 people. Not sure if I want to deal with the crowds this year. We have been going for 35 years.

To all the scrappers, I believe the count is now at 18 again as someone said their husband wanted to come... who was that? I'll have to go check...anyway, sounds like everyone is bringing lots of stuff, we should have a GREAT meet... I'm very excited about it and embarrassed as I have not made my card things yet... I've been SOOOOOOOOOOOOO busy with other stuff and the kids that I'm STILL NOT PACKED and I leave tomorrow after work! We are driving to the airport as soon as the last child toddles out the door at 6pm!
I have AT LEAST almost finished the navigators.

In case something changes... or someone wants to do something and include ALL DISers... like if we are out at sea an extra day or so due to weather....
we should have at least ONE room on each floor that is willing to be the "post-it" door for Messages and Updates. This room should have a note pad or message erase board on their door so people can put messages or updates as to time changes or new meets places.
I volunteer my door on DECK 2
We need rooms on all other decks...

Did ou try looking at the roster? I know there are quite a few on there with teenage sons. I odn't htink your son would be too happay at a table with an 8yr boy! LOL!

DH (MIKE) WANTS TO JOIN THE SCRAPBOOKERS MEET. I TOLD HIM I WILL PROBABLY NOT GO AND HE DOESN'T MIND IF HE IS THE ONLY GUY (Hmmmm...) HE IS THE PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE FAMILY (USED TO DO IT PROFESSIONALLY). WE WENT SHOPPING FOR PAPERS LAST NIGHT AND FOUND SOME FUN CRUISE AND PIRATE ONES FOR TRADING.

Great!

On a sad note - we lost one of our kitties to the coyotes last night. A dog scared them off but she died on the way to the hospital; not much blood but possibly a punctured lung. DH took care of the whole thing so I wouldn't even have to see her (I am horrible at dealing with that kind of thing). She was actually DD's cat so I had to call and tell her, just one day before she is heading off on vacation. DD moved out last week and was just waiting until she got back from vacation to pick up the kitties. She had two; at least it was not the one she was most attached to that was attacked. My cat disappeared a few months back and I suspect for the same reason. It is nice living on a wetland preserve (lots of wildlife including deer right behind our house) but that is the danger; the coyotes came right up into the neighborhood which I have never seen them do before.

Now to get busy getting clothes, magnets, fishy gifts, etc. ready for the cruise! See y'all very soon!

I am so sorry to hear about the cat. I hope the coyotes start staying further away!

I will be working on wedding invitations.... I told my housekeeper that I would help her.... she is really nice but, I can't believe that I offered when I know I am SOOO busy right now....

We have a wedding reception to attend on Sunday (they eloped!) . It is a friend of 26ds.

And we are supposed to try to drive down to Austin to look at our house (we bought a 100yr old home on an acre (in town) and redoing it.... we haven't been down in about 6 or 8 wks.... It is supposed to be done by tomorrow but, we were told that about 2 wks ago.... and no one has called to say it is done. My sister's husband is the general contrator on the job...we bought the house in February....We originally wanted to have it on the market this summer...... Oh well..... It is a beautiful house...
