9/7/06 10 night Wonder Southern Caribbean "Cruising in WONDERland!"

Heidi, Sandy, and everyone:

I have your celebration information from Stephanie's roster (Stepht5), so as long as it's correct there...I have it! Except I need Jeffrey's birthdate, Heidi.

I do have a few questions, since I used Alex's (first timers) name tag list and Stephanie's roster some things are missing or different.

• Sunshineand daisys --what are the first names and are there any special occasions?
• mbruck, should I do a separate magnet for Linda and Patricia under your user name?
• Who is Hazy and Disney Partner? No names listed.
• the Mondejar's from W. VA, I need the user name.
• McAshan's--what's the anniversary date?
• joesmuseum (Michael and Wanda) were not on the roster, but are on the name tag list. Same thing for, Gabbysmom04 (Katie, Pete, Gabriella, Dominic),and pbinman (Pat)...not on the roster. Please clarify.

I think everyone else is OK, except for our latest addition--QueenoftheCastle. Welcome aboard, and we need your first names and birthdates.

8ds celebrated his b-day this year on CC. 4dd wants to celebrate her b-day at WDW. I told her that we will never go to WDW on her b-day(July 1st). It's too hot! LOL! But, maybe next year we would celebrate on the Boatie -- what she calls the Wonder.

The only thing we are celebrating is the fact that this is the first time that all 7 of us have travelled together. Our kids are so far apart in age that things like this don't always work out with schedules.

Everyone ready to make the "full" payment this Saturday?

I can't believe how time has flown by.....I remember booking this cruise and we were 300+ days out. Now final decision time has come for everyone. Do you pay and go or back out? Well since I have booked my flight looks like I am ready to go.

I have read the exclusions about travel insurance, and opted not to use DCL (Access America). Please look at this thread

Besides the Obvious(injury,health...etc), I think that trip insurance just for "hurricane" coverage is not worth it.

What do you guys think?

Here is a draft of the door magnet with the ship mickey head. We can still use the water head mickey, if we get the designer approval and a higher resolution image. The current one is too blurry when you blow it up.

The draft is scanned at low res so I can get it posted. Also, you can't see the little "sand mickey heads" I used to create a border, but you get the idea!

I finished making the name tag and I used the Mickey with the ship like you did with the door magnets. I can't figure out how to post it for everyone to see it. Can you give me some hints? Alex

If you upload the picture to someplace like photobucket.com, you can link to it in a post. Just put "

" at the end without quotes and you should be all set.

Good morning everyone. Its been a few days since I have checked in and I was 5 pages behind. Happy belated fathers day to all our dads. We spent Sunday and Monday at Disneys VBR. We have not had rain here in weeks and wouldn't you know it, it poured all day sunday!! But at least we had a beautiful day on Monday.

A few pages back someone questioned about formal night. I called DCL last week and they were not able to tell me what night formal night would be on.

I have already paid off the cruise so no need to make the full payment on Saturday!!!! I have too many things booked for this vacation to cancel the cruise.

Steve - I booked with TraveSafe for trip insurance. I rather be safe than sorry.

We do have travel insurance. Not because of hurricanes but, just because there are 7 of us and anything could happen!

BUT, we would like to get know everyone!

Let's start talking and planning htings that we would like to do together. We know a Dismeet at 4:30 (?) which I think is great -- I don't know if I'm going to be able to get DH & the kids to come to deck 10! LOL! They love to dance among the streamers

Ok, we are officially booked on this cruise! We ended up booking with Costco with their offer of a $275 gift card (to buy groceries when we return I guess ) We'll be sailing in category 8 this time.

So far we've booked the following:

Parasailing at CC
Jetski tour at CC
Exotic Rasul
Palo Dinner
Palo High Tea

I'm just beginning to research the ports so hopefully we'll be booking some more excursions soon.

Anyone think the DCL web site is strange? It's so slow and a lot of times it just hangs there when I'm trying to make a reservation. Right after I booked this cruise I was able to make ressies for Palo dinner...didn't see lunch or high tea so assumed these were already full. Then lo and behold, this morning I checked again and high tea was available! No brunch though

Palo brunch was out there a couple of weeks ago. I hope they aren't all booked. They probably hold some back for on-ship booking.

When you start your excusion research, don't forget the non-Disney options. A bunch of us got day passes to Pineapple Beach Resort in Antiqua (do a search in this thread for "Pineapple Beach". My DSs and I are doing shoretrips.com in St. Thomas...beach package for the youngest and me, while the oldest is scuba diving from the same beach. We are doing DCL's Caribbean Pirate Extravaganza in St. Lucia. Not sure what we are doing in Barbados yet.

Don't even get me started on their website! It took me 15days to get all my ressies done online!
And High Tea??? That wasn't on there when I booked -- and I booked before the CCers were able to book! UGH!!!!! My TA was right! LOL! She told me that I should just give her my list of what I want and she will handle everything with DCL -- I am letting her do that for me with our 2 oldest ressies. They aren't staying conceirge (we got them a Cat 8) & they've never sailed before.
I'm going to have to check about this High Tea thing......
