9-4-2008 on the Wonder

Hi everyone! We will be joining you too! Four days at WDW before the cruise. This is our second cruise on the Wonder. Traveling with DH, DS(20), DD(29), DSL(31) and friends of my daughters (2 adults and 3 children). All traveled together on the DCL before and thought we would try it again. Can't wait!!

hi to all....we are a group of 9, 8 adults one 12 yr old boy. For my family of 3 this will be our second cruise, and the other 6 are big cruisers and love the disney ships. Does anyone have any plans yet? We are going to do atlantis via comfort inn.

We'll be hitting Atlantis via Comfort Inn as well.:thumbsup2

Just wanted to say hi and that my family and I will be onboard for the Sept 4 cruise. It is the first Disney cruise for myself, my husband and our four year old son.
This cruise thread seems quite compared to some of the others or am I missing another thread? We just booked this at the last minute so I am trying to catch up on all the info I need to know.

Welcome to all of the newcomers. This is indeed one of the quietest cruise threads I have been part of. However, the ship appears to be pretty full. We added another person last week and there weren't many cabin options.

Travelzoo has an Atlantis special in their Top 20 this week, but I don't think it beats the Comfort Suites price of $141.

Has anyone started packing? I usually have at least my duffel bag with medicines, beach toys, and other odds and ends started and I'm not there yet this time. Maybe I'll be more ambitious next week.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the ship! 3 Weeks

Hi everyone! I have a questions about the Atlantis and Comfort Suites. If you book the room do you have access to the water parks or do you still have to purchase tickets?

If you book a room at CS then that gives you full access to the water park and beaches.

Here is a great thread that has lots of info on doing the Comfort Suites excursion on your own vs DCL excursion.

I was off today and did laundry and cleaned the house. I pulled out the suitcases and did pack a few things! We leave a week from today (we are spending a week at the world first) so, I got our snokel equipment packed and my bathing suit. I started to make a list of everything that I want to bring. I don't want to go to crazy because I would like to do a bit of shopping while I'm there. I need room in my bags to bring it home.

Anyway I'm getting more excited by the minute and can't wait til the weekend comes so I can do my final packing and getting the car and cooler ready.

I have even been looking at future dates for a 7 day cruise next year. I know that if I book whlie I'm onboard I can save a few dollars.

Let's hope for good weather!

Marcy

Hi Everyone,

This is my first cruise ever and I can not wait! It will be myself, my husband and our 2 1/2 year old son and our 8 month old. We mainly decided on Disney for our 2 year old. The best part of it is we told him that he couldn't go in Mickey's pool unless he was potty trained and about a week later he was completely trained! Best money I have ever spent and I still haven't went on the trip. With two little ones does anyone have any special advice? We can't do much when we are at Castaway Cay but we are going to the Aquarium at Atlantis. Any suggestions would be great. 10 DAYS TO GO!!!

a little...we live in s florida, and now are concerned about our home and pets....a great way to spend a cruise

I have been checking the weather stuff all day today. It is not going to change anything and really isn't helping me but I keep hoping to hear some miracle that Hanna is petering out.
We fly out from Indy in the early morning of the 4th so I am more paranoid about the flights than anything. When is Hanna suppose to make landfall?

:)

I think we can wish it northeast and back into the ocean. We're all believers in pixie dust and stuff, lets just think happy thoughts and make it go away. ;)

This is the first DCL cruise for our kids and grandchildren (15 of us). As soon as I saw that Hanna was one of the storm names this year, I knew it would coincide with our trip because our 3 year old granddaughter Hanna will be celebrating her 4th birthday on the Wonder (we hope). For that very reason, I just can't believe that Tropical Storm Hanna would ruin our Hanna's 4th birthday. Somehow, it's all going to work out. :)

Is anyone else sitting and waiting for a decision from Disney? We have a 15 hour drive to make Wednesday and Thursday morning to get to Port. I wish they would make a decision soon.

I understand and agree. Has anyone figured out what to do with their comfort suites ressies?

We have been here for a week. I've called a couple times and they still say it is a go.

Well I guess we will know for sure in a day. I wonder if many will cancel because of it.
