9/4/11 Dream Cruise FE List

I would "vote" for an earlier closing, as 20 days seems really tight to me. I know I will be dealing with last minute stuff at this point, and would like to have the FE's completed, and ready to go.

I think this is a good idea. Maybe the cutoff could be Aug 1st or 4th - one month before? What does everyone else think?

the month before we cruise will go by fast and we will all be getting ready and some of us getting kids back to school.

I'm fine with whatever cutoff date is good for everyone else.

Also, unless somebody says different, I am going to lump anyone under the age of 16 in with the "kids" and consider the 3 teens we have that are over that as "teens/young adults". I am doing that based on my own personal feelings... that at 13 or 14 I would have still wanted the cute stuff. If that is not the case for your kids, please let me know. It is no big deal at this point to shift the 12, 13 or 14 year old into the older category. I don't want anyone to wind up disappointed.

Our update for the original fiends is that of the original 42 rooms we are down to 10. Many had to cancel because of loss of jobs, money or health concerns. Of those remaining 10 there are only 3 rooms of the "Fiends" that want to participate in the FE. A 4th might join us, but that would be the maximum, everybody else decided not to play this time. We currently stand at:
Cabin 10164 TigLife4Me Marty & Melissa ages 54 & 48, no allergies
Cabin 10166 "MissysSister" Karen (my sister) aged 54, no allergies
Cabin 6078 "CyberDeb" Debbie, aged 50 ;
her sister Wendy aged 46;
daughter Jackie aged 19,
Debbie's Mom Joan, aged 73.

Did you notice that's 6 adult women & 1 poor man! Guess my DH will be schlepping the bags of FE gifts for all of us. LOL The other 'fiend' men will be lounging around enjoying a drink & watching women.

Sooooo looking forward to this cruise!!!!

I can tell you that my boys are thrilled with pretty much anything. They aren't picky.

Some ideas that would be small (so easily transported) and not expensive: knockoff silly bandz, cars (especially with the movie Cars 2 out right now), yo-yo's, puzzles, glow sticks, stickers, small plastic toys (like "green army men" size... there are bugs, dinosaurs, safari animals, farm animals... take your pick), card games, anything pirate-ish (there are tons of pirate party supplies out there, from eye patches to compasses), ummm... okay, I'm running out of suggestions at the moment. If that doesn't help, let me know and I'll ask my boys.

Do you have Dollor Store in Tx. if so try there we have a store called the Dollor Tree and they carry a lot of Disney things for boys and girls
