9/4/11 Dream Cruise FE List

Hi everyone,

I have received a few emails from some of you with updates, changes etc. We are actually away and I won't be able to do anything until later this week when we get home.

Please don't think I am ignoring anyone!

I sent Kimberly a deck plan of the ship with all of the cabins marked for the FE. It helps me to have a plan & map ahead of time when I go to deliver. Thought I'd share. She has everyone's e-mail address to forward.

I would love a copy of that map can someone email it?

in just 3 weeks, I will be nursing a tropical sunburn, and a long island iced tea. I am NOT looking forward to the one.
Still working on FE gifts. I figure, what gets done, gets done. I don't think any two bags will be exactly the same.........

I got my final list and map and a huge THANK YOU for doing all that! I have it printed out and stapled and packed with my boarding documents. It will make delivering the gifts so much easier. Plus, I can hand the "map" to my boys and let them lead the way when we head out to deliver. They love following maps and treasure hunts (we plan to do the Midship Detective Agency game onboard), so this will make it even more fun for them.

I have everything for my gift bags, I just have to sort and make the bags themselves. Hi, my name is Tricia and I am a procrastinator.

I think it is awesome that our cabin assignments have put most of us in a two areas on Deck 7 and Deck 10. At least we won't be running all over the ship with 70+ gifts.

Side note...I read the story about your sister, so sorry! We are on a "celebrating currently kicking cancer a$$" trip ourselves. As my DH was diagnosed in April of this year and doing great so far!

After getting the map, now I see that a number of us are on the back of the ship. Luckily I didn't procrastinate on finishing my FE gifts.. that's so not normal for me. This will be my kids first cruise and they are going to love doing the FE exchange. I already have a feeling my dd9 is going to want to take control of passing the gifts out.

BTW: Has anyone seen if there is a cruise meet scheduled or a place to meet? Just wondering if I missed it.

Thanks for the kind words about my sister. She has been gone almost 3 years now and there is still a void in my life. I guess it will always be there. She was an amazing woman.

Where is everyone? Finishing their FE gifts??? Has anyone started packing? 2 weeks from now we will be onboard sailing!!

The next 2 weeks are going to go so fast for us. DD birthday is Friday and she is having a party Friday & Saturday to celebrate. Then we leave next Wednesday to fly down to Orlando for a few days before. Trying to get everything organized and ready to go. I bought another memory card for my camera yesterday, and trying to think of little things to do/get ready, but we can't start packing till next weekend after DD's birthday and all the company has left!

We are! Driving down Saturday and staying at the Country Inn & Suites on a cruise and park package. We'll catch the first shuttle they will put us on Sunday morning and hang out at the port.

We stayed there last time. Loved the hotel. The fish tanks and being connected to Ron Jon's surf shop was awesome. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no direct shuttle from there to the port. We found out at check in that we had to drive over to the Radisson on Sunday morning to park our car in the special "cruise lot" there and catch the shuttle from that hotel. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was a hassle to move the car when I thought we were getting a shuttle directly from the hotel we booked on a snooze and cruise package (I think that was what it was called).

Oh Man this feels good - I finally finished all of the FE gifts and have everything sorted out by cabin! I've already started packing. We will also be driving.

We were planning on utilizing Park N Cruise- we didn't book a cruise package.



In other news: Is anyone starting to worry about how Irene is going to affect our trip? Bahamian officials have encouraged tourists to stay away for the next 5 days. Of course my first concern is for the people of the Bahamas, and the cast members on CC, but I do hope that things aren't too messed up for our trip.

I'm also hoping that since Irene is making landfall this week, we will hopefully be in the clear weather-wise.
