9:30 reservation at 'Ohana and 10:00 wishes

If we don't have a window seat (are there many?) will we be able to take a break from our meal and go to a viewing area to see wishes? Or do only the lucky few who get table seats get to see it? Also wondering if we'll get seated late because lots of people will be "holding" their seats until wishes is over. I'm going to keep trying to get an earlier ADR so that we can actually be back in MK for wishes, but if I can't get anything earlier then we just might miss wishes. Anyone with any experience? Thanks.

I'm having similar thought...our adr is at 7:30pm and was wondering if we could take long enough to catch the firworks at 9pm

We ate at Ohana and had an 8:15p reservation. They were running late (as we heard this is common)...and we didn't get seated until almost 9:30p!!! On the bright side, we did get to see the Fireworks, and it was beautiful. They do allow you to get up and see them, they actually dim the lights and stream the actual music and sounds through their speakers for the whole thing. It was pretty awesome to say the least!

May I ask where you went to see the fireworks? We have eaten there many times at that time of night and if we didn't have a window seat there was no place to go and view without obstructing the view of other people. Did you leave the restaurant? I would have been very annoyed if people were standing at my table when I had a window seat in order to look out. The lights are dimmed and most tables you can see at least partially. However, this is not a "viewing area" if you get an unlucky table.

At 9:30 you may not even be seated in time for the fireworks. Ohana is notoriously late with seating. OP that said she is seated at 7:30 you most likely will still be there. I'd be suprised if you weren't!

We were actually seated in the middle of the restaurant, so not a window seat, but could see the fireworks from where we were so we didn't need to get up. We did see some people, however, by some of the walls that didn't have tables off to the side. Not an actual viewing area, but some took their kids and watched from the sides of the room (not up by the actual windows facing out to the fireworks where people are eating). But we were in the middle of the room and had a great view of them anyway, especially with the lights dimmed!

If you are still waiting to be seated you can walk into the restaraunt area and see them. They have chairs for people waiting. You can also go downstairs and view them. I find most people in the restaraunt are not even paying attention to the fireworks.

We always try to get a ressie for 2 full hours before the fireworks. O'Hana is notoriously late with reservations. So even if we have to wait half an hour to be sat, we still have time to eat and then work our way down to the beach at the Poly. PERFECT view across the lake to the show!!! We watch "Wishes" at least once every trip from the beach on Bay Lake, sometimes from the Poly, sometimes from the GF after dinner at GF Cafe (which is marvelous by the way!)

We have reservations for 6:50. I am hoping we will be seated and finished eating in time to go down to the beach to watch the fireworks. This is our first time eating there. How long does it typically take?

I think that really depends on you. We normally have a party of 6-8 and it usually takes us about an hour and a half. But we eat a lot

We have been there during wishes, with seats with a perfect view, and then with seats with a not-so-perfect view. They do dim the lights and play the music along with the fireworks. Some seats you will not be able to see and there is no viewing area (other than if you leave the restaurant and look out another window but I wouldn't recommened this soley because I am sure other people will be there already). There is no way though even if you sit right at 930, you will be done in time. They take their time bringing out all the food. The best thing would be to try and show up a little early (915ish) and hope they can take you right away.
