Would you do the 9:30 PM HDD to get level 1 seating with 2 TS ?

We do love the HDD. Our kids are now teens and could handle the 9:30 PM HDD.

Is the 9:30 PM HDD less crowded ?

Are the actors tired after doing 2 previous shows ?

Is the food just as good at 9:30 PM as it is earlier ?
Would you eat dinner at 10 PM at night ?
Lunch would then have to be 3 PM ?
I guess sleep in the morning and get a late start to have late meals ?

Should we just pay out of pocket and do the 7 PM show and eat at a time more like 'dinner hour' ?

Can't speak to the time (we could never do that late b/c of the kids)... but as for the seating... my husband, dad and 2 boys (3 and 5) went at sat category 1, and it was VERY close to the stage, like my husband said you could just about see up their skirts. My boys were a little freaked out by it. Not sure all Cat 1 are that close, and I don;t know where 2 and 3 are (I was sick and missed it), but just wanted to throw that out there for what it's worth.

I went to the last serving a few years ago( like 20). There were many people of all ages and the show was just as excellent as an early show. I think if the audience gets into it, the performers are more into it. It was a little late for me eating wise, but I managed:cutie: .(YUM). I have been to a 5:30 show as well and really I had a great time at both.

I always prefer that seating time. More time for the parks, better seating location chance and fewer small children. Not that I have anything against small children (both of my children were actually small at one point :o), but it's nice to have a break in the evening.

We've done the later show and enjoyed it just as much. You get the same thing regardless of what time you see it. Although there are considerably less small children at the late show. The food has always been good regardless of what time we were there....as is the show. We enjoy the cat 2 seating as much as any of the others and normally just opt for that section. We are'nt normally late eaters, but the food is always so good that we did'nt have any problems eating it! ;) And depending on what time of the year your going....HDDR is always near capacity seating. HOpe you have a wonderful time!:)

I've never done HDDR except at 9:30. Like to get my park time in. I've been 7 times. The last show tends to not be completely full, and sometimes less than half. But the food is great, the show is full of energy and corn, and the audiences are enthusiastic.

We took our family on arrival night to see the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue (2 TS). We had reservations for the 9:30 show. It was a great way to start our Disney vacation. We all enjoyed the show. The actors certainly didn't seem tired, and since it was the first night neither were we. The food was good. The green salad had a terrific dressing, the ribs were tender, and the fried chicken tasted home-made. The strawberry short-cake was good too, and our waiter gladly brought us short-cake without strawberries for our son who hates strawberries. Especially since your kids are older (mine are 12, 10 & 7) you should be safe with 9:30.
