We're thinking about booking this for Wednesday, January 7, 2009 and I was wondering about transportation. Park hours aren't out yet but I'm assuming they'll be closing fairly early on a January Wednesday. We should be able to get to the show via Epcot but how in the heck do we get back?

Will the bus to DTD be our only option for returning to the Boardwalk? (I HATE the DTD bus!) We'll have a car but really don't want to drive so that we can enjoy the beer and sangria!

Thanks,

Jennifer

Here was our experience: We did the 9:30 show back in April and it was a grad night. So the MK was closed so we couldn't take the boat over to there and bus back and I didn't know how we could get back to our resort. We asked the concierge and she said after the show they would have busses back to the resorts(apparently they always do this). And they did. They will have cm's out by the busses who will direct you to the right bus. We were at All Star Music so our bus went to Coronado Springs first, then the All Stars and then Animal Kingdom Lodge. We had to wait a bit for them to make sure everyone was out of the restaurant and into the busses and the bus was packed (we had to stand) but we got back to our resort just fine. So they will have several busses that will make stops at various resorts. So you may have to go to other resorts first, but you'll get there. If the MK is open late, you can take the Ft. Wildnerness ferry boat over to the MK and then hop on a BW bus. For our night, the MK was closed to anyone other than the grads so that wasn't an option.

We loved the show and the food, it was a really fun night for our family.

And I hear you on the beer and sangria which was why we didn't want to bother with a car either!;)

We've done the 7:15 show twice and there were buses each time. I think they have them for the 9:30 show always. I'm not sure about the 5:00 show. We've done that too but used the boat back to MK afterwards so I didn't even look for buses.

We've done the 9:30PM show and they run busses back to the resorts. The CM's will direct you to the correct bus.
Have fun.

The last time we went to the 9:30 show, that's the way it went for us too. There were several busses, and the cm told you which bus to get on. Our bus stopped at several resorts before we got back to BCV, but it was still faster than taking the DTD bus.

Word of warning though, this is what can happen if you enjoy the beer and sangria a little too much!

Don't ask- Dad ended up in a tutu on stage, and somehow we decided after the fact that we needed to recreate his moment but without the tutus (it made sense to us at that point, but now...) :rotfl:

Thanks, I feel better now!

And, Starshine, any evening that ends up with a picture like that one is a good evening as far as I'm concerned!
