9/28/13. Disney Wonder 7 night Bahamian out of Galveston.

Excited to be in this cruise and meet a lot of new folks! This will be our family's first cruise together and my DS (8) and my first cruise ever.:cool1::banana:
We will be celebrating DS birthday and our late anniversary :))

:welcome: What a fun birthday and anniversary celebration! Your son is gonna love it!

Me and my two daughters!

:welcome: This is gonna be a fun cruise!

We are excited to embark on our first disney cruise! Anyone have any suggestions???

:welcome: Oh my! Just have a great time with it all! Lots of info on Dis and the Facebook pages, and ask away, we'll all try to help!

Hi! I'm super new! :worried: We will be sailing on 9/28 from Galveston with DH, 2 DD (5 & almost 2) and my mom.

I am soooo behind! I had no idea about 90% of the onboard events, i.e., trick-or-treating, pirate night, etc. :faint:

Time for some super fast research. Is there a good thread out there that might be able to give me the best info?

I'm going to go back and read all of these pages in this thread. I already saw one post about saving $200 for the aquaventure.

LOTS TO STUDY!

:welcome: Lots of fun ahead! If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!

And FYI for newbies, we have discussed much over on the FB page, so if you need info, we would love to see you over there. But if you're NOT a FB'er, no worries, we like to discuss things here too!:goodvibes

....and only

12 more days!

:banana:Soo Excited!! :woohoo::thumbsup2 Going shopping with DH for some stuff to wear on the cruise! :cool1:

New stuff is always great!! I need to buy a couple of new shirts for DH. His "favorites" are showing their age!! LOL. Last full week of work for me. We are taking next Friday off to head to Galveston. Yay!!!

Ukintheus we are flying in on Friday! I just hope I will be able to sleep Friday night. I have always been the type of person when something exciting is going to happen I'm to anxious to get a good night sleep. :lmao::rotfl:

Being able to add an extra night of vacation is always a good thing. :thumbsup2 I also have a hard time sleeping the night before...it's all good until I wake up for the first time, and that can be REALLY early when my mind is set on vacation. ;)

I called today and requested the dining rotation that has Parrot Cay first. We love being in PC for our first night, and then followed by Tritons the next night. She gave me the rotation as PTAPPTA, but she stumbled around with it a little, so that might not be quite right. We shall see I guess!

Any of y'all diving in Nassau? Or have in the past? Looking at projected water temp, looks like it might be on the cold side to dive without a spring suit.

I have a 13 year old daughter. Since school is in session I'm wondering if anyone else has kids around this age who will be on the Sept. 28th sailing out of Galveston? Do any avid Disney cruisers know what it is usually like when school is in session, when it comes to kids on board?

 We have a 14dd! I think you might be surprised at just how many teens there are! When we went 2 years ago in October, there really were more than we thought! My dd wants to try out the Vibe this time, but may meet yours if she decides to hit the Edge instead! :)

I wish I can be excited about heading to Galveston. But having to live there for 9 years and working there.... Driving to that island Saturday morning is just gonna make me say "I can't wait to get out this island" lol

My excitement is seeing my son's face realize we're not going to the island to go to church but to aboard a beautiful ship!

I have a 12-year-old daughter. It is our first time cruising and she is excited to meet new kids.

My daughter loves to make new friends on trips. She is an only child and will have so much more fun if she can find a friend or two to hang out with. She isn't as into Disney anymore as I am, lol, but we couldn't miss the last chance to sail out of Galveston (our first and prob only Disney cruise). We are still arguing over her dressing up as a princess or something Disneyesque for the costume party. I am the one who wants her to dress up as a princess! princess: She loves to dress up, but not as something too girly, lol. :sad2: DD is a fairly innocent 13 in some ways. Not that into make-up or boys, not that she hasn't had crushes! But gets along well with most around her age.

Anyone know when the Halloween party will be? Oh I am just starting to get so excited! I haven't been able to focus much on planning because of some very stressful changes in my life lately, but this last week I am finally able to get really excited!!! :yay:

Hey everyone! I've been reading all of the threads for weeks getting tips, and it just now occurred to me that there might be a meet thread. :) We'll be on this cruise with 2 boys, 17 and 5. Our 5 year old is getting giddy!

:welcome: All the newbies! Exciting days are ahead! If you Facebook, come on over to the page, if not, and you have questions, feel free to ask. We're everywhere!

Page 5, post 62 will tell you alot of added info! Have fun planning!

LOL, I'm right there with you about Galveston!

I'm right at that point now where my imaginary packing list has kept me up at night(not the real one I'm actually using, but the dream one that's missing important things, lol!) so I put in a Facebook request at 4 a.m. Thanks for the tip!

I printed my packing list today. I am officially in "gathering mode". :-) I have the bed in a spare bedroom as my staging station. I don't actually pack until the night before but it feels good to start pulling stuff together.

I watched the Wonder come through the Panama Canal yesterday just to add to the excitement of her getting closer.
