9/27/14, Returning to the Southern Caribbean

Howdy everyone,

Just got home from being on the Dream with my son. Had a great trip.
Since we are Platinum we can get 6 free Bingo cards so we decided to do Bingo the 2nd day on the trip. Nobody got the big jackpot of the day but they keep playing after that until someone gets a final bingo.
We actually got Bingo!! First time playing and we won $367.00!!:woohoo:

We split it. Not bad for a $40 investment.;)

That is now being saved for extra spending on money for this cruise:thumbsup2
We were feeling pretty lucky so we played Pirate trivia and won that too!!

I am exhausted, but will post again soon to get caught up on what has been happening the last few days.:thumbsup2

Oh and I booked a Fantasy cruise for 2/8/14 while on board.

Looks like we are ready for a new question now.

What is your favorite animated Disney movie ?
What is your favorite non animated Disney movie?

Animated: The Jungle Book
non animated: Too many to choose from but I will say, Charlie the Lonesome Cougar.

Now its your turn to answer.
Usually when people answer I say Oh i forgot about that movie I liked it too. Just so many great films.

For those with Costco Membership ... Costco is having a luggage sale (through March 18th ... I think). Costco offers Kirkland and Ricardo brand luggage ... including soft side, poly-carbonite (hard side), and combination.

A 26-27" soft-side Kirkland Signature runs @ $99.99
A two piece combo-sided Ricardo set (20" and 28") runs @ $125
A 29" poly-carbonate Kirkland runs $149

I believe there is also a 5-piece Ricardo set ... forget the price ... but think it was around $200 - $249. If my memory is correct, it contains a 26" pullman, 20" pullman, garment bag, small wheeled carry-on (weekender), and another smaller bag.

REMEMBER - COSTCO OFFERS A LIFETIME WARRANTY!

They do not replace the item, rather, give you 100% of your money back.

We purchased luggage in 2006 ... and more luggage in 2009. We've had wheels broken twice over the past 7+/- years ... Costco refunded our money each time. We used the money to be replacement luggage ... each time, the luggage was nicer, and was at a lower cost!
:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone,

Well I finally got up and made breakfast and made my bed. No room host around to wait on me today.:(

I must give an A+ to DH who didnt go this time. The house was spotless when I got home. Plus he did the heavy cleaning that you only do every 6 months, like cleaning the fans on the ceiling fans and stuff. Maybe I should leave him home more often?:lmao:

Off to run a few errands today.
Will check back later to see whats cooking around here today. :thumbsup2

Yay to DH!!! Awesome!

Well, apparently we are still looking at a huge snowstorm. After it dumps in the midwest...
We've had almost NO SNOW for the last couple of years, we could get more than the last three years COMBINED on Wednesday. :crazy2:
However, I don't think it's going to happen. :rolleyes2

tough question today so many favorites animated: Snow White live:Pirates Of the Carribean1

Look on the bright side ... you are shadowing / mimicking a DCL cruise ... think about it ...

1) You had breakfast ... same as on DCL
2) Your bead was made ... same as on DCL
3) No room host was visible ... often the same as on DCL
4) Errands? I'm assuming you meant shopping and banking ...
a) Shopping at Mickey's Mates?
b) Banking at Guest Services ... registering for Mixology class?
c) Bonus: Stop in for an ice cream cone, and/or 30 minutes on an exercise bike at Vista Spa?

:lmao:

My favorite animated Disney film is of course The Little Mermaid
Non animated would have to be the Pirates of the Caribbean saga
;)

Ok,
here is a new question:

What are you looking forward to the most about this cruise?

My Answer: Seeing all the new ports.

I updated PAGE 1, POST 1 with the itinerary, tentative port times, plus a map of the Southern Caribbean and our ports of call:

Why doesn't the map match the itinerary?

Why doesn't the map match the itinerary?

Based upon pure speculation, I am guessing the SEA DAY is actually on Friday, after Barbados (at least, that's what makes the most sense). On the other hand, there MAY he some sort of issue with space at ports ... in which case, we may be relegated to spending 36 hours floating in circles off of San Juan (before our first port). If that IS the case, we're going to have to HAUL A** to get back to San Juan on Saturday after Barbados.

There might be someone who can figure out the distance from Barbados to San Juan, and determine how long it would take to travel, based upon a safe, high speed. Unfortunately, that person is not me. In the interim ... let's just say, the Sea Day is "tentatively" scheduled for Sunday. If someone has a 2014 calendar ... please put a note on June 1, 2014 ... reminding someone to look into this at that time!

Good morning everyone.

The pre arrival travel guide is kind of nice to look through for our cruise.
You can get it off the DCL web site. Just pull up your reservation and you'll find it. Just one more thing to add to the excitement of our cruise.
