I was thinking for some reason we needed our birth certificates. Thanks!

Not if you have your passport - it's your "primo" form of identification. As a note - I always make a copy of my passport ID page to leave in the cabin's safe. It's just a precaution - better safe than sorry. I also leave a copy of it at home in a safe place. If you were to lose it, at least you would have the information handy.

Thanks for the info on dinner, Mimi :)

This first cruise is coming at a good time, I am pondering the 2011 DVC member cruise so I will know how we like cruising before the booking date. I was reading a thread on the member cruises, and was wondering if anyone in this group has gone on them before - if so, what did you think? Are their special incentives to add-on points during these (or even regular) cruises? We have an Old Key West contract (resale) and have been mulling over a larger contract, but it seems as though the incentives of previous years (developers points, free cruise, etc) are not around now ~ I wonder if we should have bought a bigger contract earlier during those promos or if more will come around, such as on a cruise :)

I LOVE the Member Cruise and SOOOOO want to do it again next year especially!!!! I don't know that we can since we are trying to save up to go to Aulani in 2012, but I'd love to! I'll answer more specifics as to why I loved it when I'm not at work. I'm sure others will chime in too!

Hey. I just realized that we are going to try to have a tea party for Victoria's birthday. I am trying to get information from a girl that did it on a Med cruise last month (that is where I got the idea LOL). I sell a Alice in Wonderland tea party tablecloth and I was going to do one for Victoria. Anyway, anyone with girls (or boys if they are interested! there WERE men at Alice's you know!) that would love to come, please do! I will give you details of what time later when we figure out how to do it. I have brunch ressies for 10:30 and high tea at 3 so I will try to squeeze it in between then. Maybe do it during lunch? I have no idea how busy the restaurants are during lunch. Just thought I would throw that out for you guys to be thinking about it.

Sounds fun Jen, count us in.
Do you have a day in mind (we will be off the ship on Nassau day for a few hours, got to see the dolphins)

Did you look into the Tea with Alice they have on the ship (not sure if it is on the 4 day and if so what day, you might want to check a recent navigator...

Here is a thought from the peanut gallery (me). We could also party the night away for and with Victoria at the family night club (not sure of the name)

Either way count us in, we would love to celebrate her birthday with her.

  :lovestruc:yay:

I was going to do it on the at Sea day, the 29th, which is her actually birthday! :cloud9: They don't have Tea with Alice on a 4 night cruise. From what I understand, it is only on the 7 night and higher cruises.

I am going to just consult you with all of any birthday ideas. That is awesome! I think a party night would be great!! She will love it! But I am going to do the tea too. I think it would be such cute pictures. Just bring a cute little dress to dress up in. (If not, no biggie!)

I do event planing and design as a hobby (in the process of starting my own business... It will be a mobile party, basically I will have various themed packages one can choose from for a child's birthday, and I will come ones home set it up, do the activity's, decorations games etc, take it down and leave... all you would have to do is provide a safe place with enough room..... kinda like chuck e. cheeses on the go)... LOT OF WORK, GETTING UP AND GOING

ANOTHER DRESS YOU SAY ______ (insert your smiley with the rolling pin here). Lets see we have packed so far Minne Mouse Dress, Princess Tianna Dress, Bell dress and she is trying to get Tinker Bell in the bag (when I say dresses I mean the dress up dresses that snag on everything). Then we have a few other summer dresses, SURE one more dress wont hurt... _____ (insert your smiley with the rolling pin2x here) lololololololol

Glad our bags fly free on S.W. we need a bag just for her dresses lololol:scared:

I just made one for Stitches N Bows. The most time consuming thing is uploading the images! I am going to upload some other images so if you need any help, let me know. I cant wait to see the candy trees.

But that M-cruise looks really good right now , but the COST.......to the tune of $ 6to8 hundred more.....I-don't-know. Booking opens OCT. 2nd at 8 am .

OH ! MIMI....... for got to mention....On the DREAM in MAY 22,2011 we already have booked also. At one time we had a total of five cruises booked in.

Okay Don - how many points DO you own???? :rotfl2: More power to you! I wish we could have 5 cruises booked at once - geez, I'd feel like a millionaire or something.

Yes, the member cruises are more expensive, and I am one of these people who says you really don't get anything for free, so I realize, we paid for all we got. The member cruise was just amazing though! They redo the ship for the members from the carved watermelons welcoming Disney Vacation Club members to hanging new signs in Route 66 to redoing Castaway Cay with signs saying things like "The Members have taken over the island" and hanging medallions in the island venues with the member cruise logo for that year. The guests they brought on board in '08 were fabulous, yet we heard people who had done several member cruises saying the guests weren't as good. Now I know, a lot of that is personal preference, but we didn't have anything to which we could compare to know if the feeling was warranted or if it was preference. We had 3 Broadway leading ladies, Linda Crohn (I think I spelled that right, but I didn't Google it), Vince Papale, Patrick Henry Hughes (our theme was Inspirations, and he was so inspiring), and DOn Ducky Williams. I mean we sat at dinner and watched Ducky "doodle" Donald Duck for people on their napkins and place mats We got to hear him speak twice and watch him draw over 20 characters - the drawings were given away! Each night there was a gift in our cabins - we loved the gifts!!!! Again, veteran member cruisers said they weren't as nice as they had been in past years, and maybe they weren't; but to us, they were great! It was just AMAZING! I'd love to do it again!

Jen count us in for the party my daughter is always game for a party even though she is a little older:)
