9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

Hi everyone!

NKOTB was awesome, as always. We didn't have really close seats. We were in the 3rd row of the section right in front of the lawn but they were still pretty good because we could see everything. We ran down when they came out into the crowd and were about 10 feet from Danny Wood. He's freakin gorgeous, let me tell you. They all ran by us as they were going back to the stage. I ended up giving the extra tickets to one of my friends and she took a friend of hers. If we couldn't find anyone, we were going to try and sell them. Mary, you'll have a blast at your show! Make sure you get there early to see the Jabbawockeez. They're amazing.

Donna, the FE came out awesome!! I can't wait to see the other one Bob is creating, if he didn't think this one was good enough.

1 week til I can make my ADRs. Karen, good luck getting the rest of yours! You picked some great places.

Thanks Jenny! I like the FE Bob made, he just wants the pockets to be different. What he did was pick up some small tote bags, which he is going to use for pockets...because they will be roomier. He also wants to try transfers instead of appliques because he is all about "The Dutchman" and would like to use pictures of that...and Jack the Monkey.

Karen...Bob had me stop and get some material to make one for you and Gary. I got Little Mermaid and Tinkerbell....so your choice. Are you in the mood for Airel or Tinkerbell?

Tink it is! You know I think lots of guys think Tink is hot. First off she is blonde, and kinda of looks like Marilyn Monroe. Secondly she hangs out with the Lost Boys, so that makes her cool....and she can sprinkle you with pixie dust and you can fly...which I think secretly all men would love the ability to fly.

I remember when Kelly was 10 her best friend had a crush on John Smith from Pocahontas...we even bought her a John Smith doll. To this day we tease her about having a crush on a cartoon. So apparently lots of people have things for cartoon characters.

I have a crush on Prince Caspian...but he's not a cartoon. I don't think I can think of a Disney cartoon I have a crush on.

You know what's weird? I always thought Beast was more attractive in that form than his human form.

i bought gary a little mermaid double duvet cover for a joke one time, i draw the line at using it but he uses the pillowcases!! he thinks tink is hot too but he prefers the mermaid!! lol, wierdo!

hows work anyway jenny? notice you're the only one thats still online! my day wasnt as bad as last week was, hoping the week stays that way.
i'm supposed to be going down to bournemouth (about 3 hours drive) on friday night after work to see one of my friends, i think i'm going to see how the week goes. if its anything like last week, by friday i'll want to just go home and die/sleep for the entire weekend. if the week goes well i'll go straight from work.

We've been really busy today actually! Things have quieted down a bit now. The DIS always says I'm online cause as soon as I get to work, I sign in and leave it minimized all day.

hey you guys sorry i have been mia again work has been crazy and i got a horrible stomach bug i just got my strength back. i was trying to read all the posts the first night we are there we are going to DHS and fantasmic just like jen and joe. and monday we are getting up early to do the morning emh at AK i know that we are trying for CRT tuesday when we are at the MK for MNSSHP and wed. we are going to epcot jen i think we are going to the same parks on the same days Thats funny i am glad to hear that the concert was good. Karen how are you feeling? i read on facebook that you were getting a cold? I hope you are feeling better. thanks for the links to see the ship leave now i will be more glued to the computer than i already am.
Greg and i went to taste cakes for his grooms cake we are doing vanilla cake with buttercream icing and cream cheese filling(i told you he is very picky about food but i almost had him convinced to do red velvet cake).
How is everyones day going so far? mine will be getting better soon i am fixing to go get in the pool to cool off it is so hot am humid here but i have to watchit or i will look like a lobster if i dont use enought sunblock.

Lainey, are you stalking me? Yup, we're going to the same parks on the same day. And we're getting there early for AK, not because of EMH but because we're going to do the Tusker House for breakfast. That's so funny. Watch, we won't see each other once until we get on the ship!

lainey, good to hear everythings ok, thought you hadnt been around a lot lately. i've still got a bit of a cold, but its getting better.

oh btw, i'm so excited, i ordered a new camera for the holiday today,

i'm soooo looking forward to getting it, with any luck it should be delivered tomorrow, the main selling point for me is that its got a 20x optical zoom, i'm really looking forward to seeing what awesome photos i can take at disney with a zoom like that!! think it'll be really good for getting photos of the animals at AKL!!!

My days for the parks are:
9/20 - DHS maybe EMH at MK
9/21 - AK
9/22 - DHS morning/MNSSHP night
9/23 - Epcot

For the two nights after the cruise, we're just winging it.

well we will see each other if you book le cellier for a late lunch at EPCOT bc i am trying to get it for 5pm possibly earlier i dont know yet. I still would like to do jellyrolls if yall still want to greg was starting to look forward to seeing everyone before we went on the cruise. karen we are doing 9/20-MGM(DHS)
9/21-AK(morningEMH) 9/22-MK (MNSSHP) and 9/23-EPCOT and WCC for breakfast i am really looking forward to the food there i loved eating there last time but i like ketchup so i was lucky our table had a bottle so i didnt have to ask for it and have everyone in the place bring me their bottle. Greg said he wants to ask for a table with out a bottle bc he knows i can make it through a meal with home fries or any kind of fry without it.
I can wait i am still hopeing that we get upgraded at the poly.
Karen greg and i added a digital camera to our target wedding registry bc the camera we were going to take on our trip takes blurry pictures so we decided to ask for a new one we have a sony cybershot but we are asking for a nikon coolpix i have used them before and have never had any problems i am hoping we get it but if not i am sure we will get enough gift cards to buy it.

i think we're going to go against the advice of all the touring plan sites and hit the parks on the EMH days, this is the first trip where we've stayed onsite for the whole trip and i plan on taking advantage of the EMH wherever i can!!

so far i've got:
tuesday 15th - MK and MNSSHP
wednesday 16th - AK
friday 18th - Epcot
saturday 19th - HS
sunday 20th - MK
tuesday 22nd - Epcot

we'll fit the water parks in between. plus we've also gotta book divequest.

i think there was some talk of trying to move the meet up before the cruise to another night as there's EMH at epcot the night before the cruise, but i think it might be better to hit jellyrolls for an hour or two then hit epcot afterwards, it'll be open til midnight, i think the EMH may actually be a good thing as it means the buses will be running later so it'll be easier for everyone to get back to their resorts.
plus if we were planning on meeting in epcot for EMH, i'm not 100% sure if everyone is staying onsite so may not be allowed to stay in the park

Sounds like a good plan to me. I'd like to go to Jellyrolls for a little bit and check it out and then take advantage of the EMH at Epcot. I love walking around the parks late at night!

anything is fine with greg and i we are gonna be at EPCOT that day if the park is open late for EMH we can catch the monorail to get back to the resort which would be really nice. jen yall wouldnt have to shorten your stay to take greg and i to the poly you could stay longer at EPCOT if yall wanted jen your idea sounds great.
we use EMH every time we stay on site it is worth it unless you want to ride Peter Pan then you will always have a line.
but i know that for AK i like getting there early in the morning and riding the safari bc the animals seem to be out more and are more active i got my best pictures on the morning safari then any other time i went to ak. well i am off i am gonna swim with my little brother in the pool.

personally i think that sounds like the best option, we can meet up round the boardwalk for people with kids, then the people without kids can hit jellyrolls for an hour or two, then we can all pile into epcot for EMH, we could drink round world showcase, and with the buses running til probably 1am or so none of us have to worry about getting back to our resorts!!
