It's no problem! That's part of the reason why we're driving and not taking the transfers. We don't want to have all of our luggage for the entire trip in our stateroom. We just want to have the stuff we need! I have this huge suitcase I'm planning on using for the land portion of the trip and a smaller one just for the cruise. Plus duffle bags for the overnight stays on the way down. I'm way too organized!

ditto, last time we took 3 cases over, spent 2 nights in the AKL, packed things we needed for the cruise in one case, left the other 2 in the car, then had the rest of the holiday. its nice not to have to carry your cases everywhere.

the more i think about it, the more i convince myself to do it. it seems to make more sense doing it that way, and its not that much more money.

i know that we are having 2 bigs ones and one smaller on checked and then we have the normal sized carry on and a carry on bag(maybe for the chargers and stuff that i could live without if they lost the luggage) it will give me extra room to pack the souviners when we come home b/c i am not gonna be as worried packing when we are coming home about stuff not getting wrinkled i could care less when we are leaving its all gonna be thrown in the wash when we get home. Thats what i look forward to the least the weeks worth of laundry i am gonna be doing when we get home that is the one thing i really dont like to do its b/c i have worked in retail so much that i HATE to fold clothes that is why i asked for 6 12packs of the plastic hangers on one of our wedding registrys so that i wont have to fold that much now if we can just find a house with a big enough closet so i wont have to fold i will be set :rotfl2:
i hope you have fun at the zoo Karen i went to the ATL zoo last year we still have the pandas ther for a couple of years they are cute but our zoo is small and not in the best part of town so i don't like going there that much but it was fun for my little brother.

yeah it should be fun tomorrow at the zoo, just hoping the weather improves, its been raining all day here.

yay!!! i've found a cheaper way to get to the port!! the transfers were £100, but i can hire a car from budget on wednesday 23rd september (day before the cruise) til the sunday we get off the cruise for £71, add about £30 for the parking at the port, and its the same price as the DCL transfers! and we dont have to take the cases on the cruise with us!! yay!!!
and i can hire a car for 2 days at the start of the holiday (so we can go shopping and to seaworld ) for £35!!!! so happy that i've managed to figure this out!

congrats thats good im happy for you.
i will cross my fingers that yall have good weather tomorrow so the zoo will be pretty i am going to some thing called "a taste of West Cobb" alot of the counties here do it. The major resteraunts in that area come out and give free samples to people to show you what they have to offer and they try to get more people to move to that area and they try to get more people to visit that area. i am mainly giong b/c of free food :thumbsup2 sad i know but its also a chance to get outside and go shopping with my mom even if my little brother will be there i am trying toget greg to go but he said well if you really want me to go which in other words means PLEASE dont make me go! or i would rather go to work than go to that he hates the idea of going shopping (i am not a big shopper but its with my mom and i like shopping with her she doesn't tak forever)

garys like that, he doesnt like going shopping but he'll go if i drag him along. luckily for him i really have to be in the mood to go shopping (clothes especially) so its not often that he gets dragged along against his will!!

yay for the free food, that sounds a great idea! wish they'd do that here. we loved the food and wine festival last year beause we got to walk around and try all these great foods! if it'd have been free it would have been even better!

have you got lots planned for the weekend apart from that? we've not got a huge amount planned apart from the zoo. gary's going up to glasgow on sunday for a week or so, so i'll probably clean the house after he's gone then have a nice chilled out day. might try and make one of my FE gifts to see if it works. but i'm looking forward to a lie in mainly!!

Jealous of you girls and your weekend plans! I have to work 7-3 on Saturday, ugh. But then I have the next two Saturdays off. :thumbsup2 Joe & I are going to Williamsburg next weekend. I've never been there so I'm really looking forward to it. We're going to go to Busch Gardens and do a ghost tour at night.

Lainey, do you know anything about Brunswick, GA? I booked a hotel there for our drive down to Florida. I couldn't get anything in Savannah with my Marriott specialist rate (we can get rooms for like $40/nt). Is there something going on there that weekend??

Have fun this weekend ladies!

not really alot planned other than that just relax and watch tv or movies with greg and kendal(our dog mini winie dog i cant spell the correct name so i just use wenie dog) i am trying to figure out where greg and i are gonna eat the night before the cruise we were gonna do planet hollywood but they dont do reservations and the wait there is usually a while i don't mind waiting but once greg is hungry he wants to eat then so i was looking up all of the resorts that are close to the poly and all the table service ones in epcot that he would eat at (not that many considering he is VERY picky!) I am gonna let him look at the menus and decide i can usually find somthing on any menu that i will like so i am more concerned with making him happy

Really? I've never had to wait when I've gone to Planet Hollywood. What about T-Rex cafe? That's right in DTD and it's a lot of fun; the food is great too!

that reminds me, i need to start looking at menus and figuring out where we want to make ADRs for....

I have heard of it and i think my mom and stepdad have been there for a bowling tournament and i know that when there is one of those the hotels generally sell out(no clue why) i can check around here and find out if you want me to.
I am use to working weekends and now that i have a new job i will be back to working weekends so this is my last weekend of freedom.
if the T-rex place was on the dining plan we would def eat dinner there but we will have a table service left and i am trying to use it up but if we cant find anything else and we dont eat at planet hollywood i will prob. fork out the money and eat at t-rex

I stayed in a Springhill Suites at the Savannah Gateway last time and that's sold out! I was like 'Are you serious?' it's 5 months away! I mean, I don't mind where we're staying, it's just a little further south which has me closer to Disney in the morning, but I really liked the area I stayed at last time.

when you are gonna be in savannah is the begining of the savannah Jazz festival i guess that could be why i found a couple of nice hotels that have rooms availiable when you are there(well if i got the date right) but you may be looking for a specific area the ones i have found are near the river so they are probably too high and i didn't see any marriott ones so that doesn't help but the jazz festival may explain why so many of the rooms are booked.

Lainey, we have a Weiner dog too!! Here she is...

MinniePillow.jpg

Her name is Minnie, after Minnie Mouse of course!! Tim grew up with Weiners as his family pet. One at a time, of course. His parent's still have one, her name is Penny, but she is not a mini...although that is how the pet store sold her as, LOL. She is about 20 lbs. Minnie is about 9.5. They are just so cute!!

My DSis and I went to see 17 Again tonight. It was cute! Not the best movie ever or anything, but it was not terrible. It bordered on inappropriate in a few places, but mostly it was just funny.

Tomorrow, I am going to my Neice's first softball game. At least it is supposed to be nice again, like today. It was 71 degrees here!! Yea for Spring finally coming. FINALLY!!

Karen, have you ever been to this store called Lush? They have them in the UK. They sell bath products, and have AWESOME bath bombs. I read above that you didn't sleep well this week...you should try their bath bombs that are for before you go to bed. I used one last night, and I slept totally well!! They have tons of different kinds.

Well, off to bed. I hope everyone has a good weekend!!

we've got LUSH over here too, i love their stuff but its quite expensive for what it is so i dont go in there that often.
we used to have bath and body works over here, but they closed them all down, i love the sun kissed raspberry stuff, tried to get some last november but they said its only a seasonal thing and they only stock it twice a year :confused3

so far today the weather looks nice, hoping it stays that way for the zoo.... garys looking forward to feeding the lemurs :)

Lainey, thanks for checking for me. I think I'll stick with what I have booked. I got both hotels (to and from Florida) for $50 and considering they're both Marriotts, that's pretty good! The only thing that sucks is the one in GA is a Courtyard and doesn't have complimentary breakfast! I'll be nice and hungry for when I arrive at POR!

Mary, your dog is so cute!! :) I want to see 17 Again but I don't know if I can talk anybody into going with me. I've had a thing for Zac Efron ever since Hairspray. :rolleyes1 The first thing out of my mouth when I saw it was 'That's the kid from HSM?' I even have a shirt that I got after I went to see it on Broadway that says 'I Heart Link' Now I need one that says 'I Heart Corny Collins' As you can see, I love Hairspray.

It's supposed to be really nice here today, the high is 76! Too bad I'm at work! :headache:

Have fun at the zoo Karen!

mary your dog is so cute kendal is a dapple colored wienie dog and is black brown and has some grey places with black spots they say her coloring is rare she was originally my brother and sister-in-laws dog but they are not dog people so greg and i took her.
Jen i would go see 17 again with you i really want to see it but greg wont go see it with me. It is really pretty here today so we are all going outside to enjoy the weather.

Joe said he'd go with me to 17 Again but I know he doesn't want to see it because he makes fun of the commercials all the time. He thinks it's a ripoff of Big and Vice Versa...which it completely is but c'mon, it's Zac Efron! :rotfl: I love the part in the trailer where he's like 'Sup?'

how's everyones day been?
we had a nice day at the zoo, gary loved his birthday present of getting to go and feed the lemurs, he had them climbing on his head too! its been a really nice day too, the last few days have been heavy rain so we got lucky with the sun today!
garys gone up to glasgow already, he was supposed to go tomorrow, but we got back from the zoo early so he set off about 6pm. i've done a load of housework, with no dog, i've got about a week of a totally clean house which is great! its really quiet in the house without gary or cerby though..... and theres absoutely nothing good on tv so that kinda sucks!!

My day has been pretty quiet. It's been slow at work, probably because it's absolutely gorgeous outside. I've been listening to the hockey game via the internet for the past couple of hours. :rolleyes1

I'm glad you guys had a good time at the zoo!
