9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

Yup, I'm not counting down to the cruise. I'm counting down to the day my actual vacation begins. We'll be there starting 9/20.

Yesterday when I went to my MIL's, she was like...I'm excited, only 62 days till vacation. Except that her vacation starts the day we get back from the cruise...so I was like -- I have 65 days till my cruise, so how can you have less than that? She told me to quit drinking (she was j/k), LOL!!! Maybe SHE has had too many Goombays!!

I don't know what to do now about getting to the port. I know we don't HAVE to be there super early...but I think I want to be. There's a Cracker Barrel right by the Portifino Bay, so maybe we will just stop there. Tim would like that better anyways, he doesn't eat breakfast so he can get his sourdough toast. Plus, it's about 20 min. each way to get to Kona, and i'm not sure I want to spend that long driving to breakfast...decisions, decisions!!

There are a bunch of places to get breakfast at Citiwalk too, Mary. You could always take a walk up that way, get something quick, and then head over to the port.

Hmm. Does anyone know how full the ship is at this point? I know when I checked a few weeks ago, the Cat 12's for our date were sold out. Now they appear to be available again, but at a higher rate.

I'm staying there for three nights, my conference for work is there. I'm kind of bummed as the hours are 9am-6pm every day we are there, so I won't get to spend much time at the parks.

I think i'll try eating at Kona when my DSis & I are there, maybe before we head out to Universal Monday morning. We're staying at the Bay Lake Tower Sunday night, so it would be close. I really just want to try the Tonga Toast!! I've been meaning to for several years, but never got around to it...

i was wondering about the cruise bookings too, at one point there wasnt anything below a cat 8 available, i think a lot of people must have cancelled when it got to the final payment date as all the categories became available again.
here's hoping for a quiet ship!! plus lots of cool upgrades for us GTY people!

It was sooooo cheesy. I think that's why they built Wonder Works on Int'l Drive...to sort of replace it (and I feel it's almost as cheesy).

Oh, yuck. No fun. But...Downtown Disney is open until 11 p.m. each night!!!!

Goofy's Candy Store now carries these AMAZING cupcakes. Our favorite is the red velvet. The cream cheese frosting on it is so thick and high on top of the cake that you almost need a fork to eat it. Just a little tip if you find yourself out there one night...

I posted the link to Mystery Fun House below. When I was a kid, the commercials used to scare me to death! I'm pretty sure you can see some of the bits and pieces on the lawn next to Cracker Barrel still.

Interesting. Everything but 1, 2 and 3 are available again. And what's even more interesting is the prices have gone up versus having gone down (to entice more passengers). I wonder why that is?
