It all started from the Beach Club. The bus was supposed to pick us up at
11:45 but someone had been sick the day before and they had to call someone to come and check her out. We were a little late leaving and we had one more stop. We arrived at the port at about 1:30. Mickey was in the lobby for a brief moment. I got to check in at the castaway club check in, which was great. It was a much smaller line. Then I went to check in the kids at the port check in. We got on the ship at about 2:30. Rooms were ready and we went and dropped off bags. They were going to turn us away at Parrot Cay, but the manager came and told them to let us in. :) My husband went and put us on the brunch waiting list. We were number 5. ( we did not get to go:guilty:) It seems like a whirlwind. I went to the promenade lounge looking for the dis meet, but no one was there. I later realized my watch was wrong and I went too early not late like I thought. After the drill my DH went to the spa for a special they were offering. It was a foot massage, scalp massage and facial for $99.00. I thought that was a great deal. When I got out I had a manicure and a pedicure. They did a great job. They even put something on my shoulders and gave me a mini massage and put some new product on my eyes. It was very relaxing and a great way to start the cruise. They do really push you to buy the products, but I told them I wanted to come back to the spa and do something else and would not be able to if I bought the products today. Dinner was great at Tritons. Our Servers were Pati and Niti. I can not say enough great things about them. They did a great job. We then went to the kids clubs. I stayed with the 3 year old and the 11 year old went to the lab. My daughter was having a great time and I asked her if I could leave and she said unsure yes. I could not believe it. I told her to tell them to call me and I would come and get her when she was ready. 20 minutes later I was paged and my husband went to get her. He said he could hear her before he saw her. When she got to the room she said real mean you left me. That was the end of the kids club for her. :guilty: Next day was Nassau and we stayed onboard we have done it before and decided we were tired and we let the kids swim and hang out at the pool. Dinner was Animators Palate it was great. We met the table next to us the first night and we ended up becoming friends. They were a nice family from California. The next morning we went to breakfast at Tritons. We like it better than the buffet. Then we went to Castaway Cay and played at the beach until 2. It was hot but the water was great. Lunch was okay. We got back on the boat and the kids swam for a bit. They came back to the room and a torrential rain began. Our verandah was soaking. I have never seen it rain like that. There was concern the Pirate party might be canceled. It was not. Went to the Castaway Club party and won the clock they were giving away. It was exciting. We had a lot of fun on Pirate night the waiters were great the whole evening was so much fun. I dont think my kids will ever forget it. Loved the shows First night Hercules was better than I remember, I had never seen the Golden Mickeys and we loved it. My son was interviewed and he was thrilled. Second day at Castaway Cay, we stayed on board it was raining in the morning and my husband was sunburned. We took the kids swimming and just hung out at the pool. The last evening was kind of ruined. We got a phone call just as we were fixing to leave for Disney Dreams that our 16 year old at home got a concussion at football practice. They called back and said he was getting worse and they were going to call an ambulance to take him to the hospital. I was hysterical. My husband took the kids to the show, while I tried to find out what was going on with our son. He ended up being released 3 hours later and was sent home with my mother in law. I was drained. I took the kids to see the characters in the lobby and my husband went to play bingo. He came to dinner about 20 minutes late. He was almost jumping up and down. He won the jackpot:dance3: It paid for our bill. Talk about a roller coaster day. I cant believe the cruise was over so fast. We cant wait to go again. Our cabin was 6528 it was a great location. Our cabin guy was not bad he just was not great. It was just an observation it did not make a difference in our experience. Disney does a great job.

My Wife, Son, and Daughter were also on the 9/23 cruise. We had a great time. It is funny that you said that your steward was "good not great". Our servers were the same if not leaning more towards not great. It was so bad that we only ate on our rotation 2 times. Our first meal took so long to get our food that my 3yo son had to leave. (which means I had to leave to bring him to the Kids Clubs before he had a meltdown). Dinner should not take over an hour to get your entree. At least for children it shouldn't.
Maybe the servers have figured out that if they give marginal service the first night, then maybe the people won't come back and there trip will be easier.
Or maybe we were just spoiled by the servers on our first cruise. :yay:

I think that's what happened to us. Our servers were okay, but we apparently had gotten a server on our first cruise who is one of the best onboard. I've seen his name on the boards a few times being praised. This time, our guy was okay, but just did not compare.

3 TR's for the 9/23 cruise? I think we might be setting some kind of record. :cool1:
