9/21/02 Cruise

Just wanted to let you all know we'll be there too! This will be our second Disney Cruise for myself (31), DH (34), DS(2.75), DMom and DDad. We went last Sept. on Wonder for 4 days and now we're back for the 7 day. :Pinkbounc My DS insists on adding the bouncy guys and can't wait to see Mickey again.

Tomorrow is the first day you can book your excursions!!!

We are going for the 12 Metre Regatta at St. Maarten and maybe the Coral World and Island Drive at St. Thomas.

We are booking the Butterfly Farm tour in St M. I am trying to decide if we should do the Coral World/Island Drive in the am and the St. Christopher snorkel in the pm or if we should just do one or the other. I think DS would enjoy the Coral World, but I've never been snorkeling and am interested in trying that. Based upon the time schedule they give you, it would be possible to do both, but I'm not sure if its too rushed to try to do both. Any thoughts?

Travelingmice - I've booked the 12m Regatta for dh, and for other excursions I think we will do our own thing so we can be more flexible with DS3.5. If you think you might want to do that too, here is a thread I started that may of be of help.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=209518

or you could post a seperate thread to ask others how close the times are and if anyone else has done 2 excursions in one day.

Thanks for the link to your thread - lots of good information there.

We've decided to just do the coral world excursion and maybe during nap-time dh and I will wander about while my parents keep ds. I did look into doing Coral World separate, but we figured we would do the excursion since its not that much more than the admission plus taxi and you get the island tour also.

OK, the updated list is
here

We booked our excursions (Sea and See; Eco Hike). We're paid. I have to start thinking clothes!

And we're going to the parks before the cruise!!

A little over a month to go!

Bump.

Clothes!! I knew I forgot something ;) ;)

My Mother is already packed LOL! She is so excited and it makes it all the more special.

We booked the Butterfly Farm and Atlantis Sub. Mom is a little afraid of water so this should be interesting.

Cruise Docs Came TODAY!!!

Actually FEDEX tried to delivery them yesterday but no one was home.

Dave

We got our stuff too!!

We also decided to go to WDW for two days before :Pinkbounc !!! We are going to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. It will be our first time there (other than a meal we ate there once). We are really looking forward to going and this even cut down the days to departure by two ;) .

My husband and I will be on the Sept. 21st cruise with our 6 year old son. We are also going with my husband's family. My nephew is 5 and my nieces are 3 1/2 and 1. This is our second cruise, but our first 7 night cruise. We are very excited.

OMG pennyb we have to get our boys together, they're the same age! Did you go on DCL for the shorter cruise? If you did, how did your son like the Oceaneer's Club?

We went on the 4 day cruise last September and loved it. My son only stayed in the club a few hours at the most, although he did enjoy it. He did not know anyone and wanted to be with us. We only left him to do Palo and spa reservations, which worked out fine. But, I am hoping he will take more interest in the club this time, since we will be on the ship 7 days. We will have to introduce our boys so they can hang out. My son loved the arcade last time.

Is it too early to ask if people want to meet onboard? I still have my lime green ribbon from the last cruise, soooo....Let's hear from others. pennyb, you and I have to meet with the boys and introduce them.
Travelingmice, we're also going to be in the parks before the cruise, staying at FQ (YEAH! Dragon Pool!)

Getting DH to figure out his dress clothes is a painful experience! He threatens to eat at Topsiders for dinner all week long. I need some sympathy here, folks!

Dee

Dee,

Will you please add us to the list. We are first timers!

poohntigger (Angie),DH,MIL,FIL

Looking forward to a wonderful and relaxing week! Did Dee say to wear lime green ribbons so we could recognize each other? If I misunderstood please let me know.

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm all for the lime green ribbon, just need to find some!, but I may put it on the stroller and handluggage just because I don't like to stand out!! lol, would that be okay?.

poohntigger, you are correct: DISboard members wear lime green ribbons to identify each other. I'm hoping at least some of us will see each other either in the terminal or, if there is interest, for a few minutes after the boat drill in the lounge. The ribbons, whether on your clothes or your luggage, work "Magic," and it's fun to put a face to the names we've seen on this board. Anyway, everyone, let me know if anyone wants to meet after the boat drill.

Dee and Penny:
Count my son in on meeting your sons! He's turing 6 about 2 weeks before the Cruise. We'll be celebrating his Birthday on the ship ( and our Anniversary, too!).

He didn't stay in the club too much on the last Cruise ( unlike our 9 year old who closed down the Lab everynight!), so maybe if he can make a few new friends right away, he'll have a better time!

Let me know where and when everyone's meeting!

Chip

Ok! Only 4 weeks to go till we sail!!! We actually leave in 22 days!!! It's time to get out those packing lists and start that laundry basket of stuff that you won't need between now and then so you can check it off the list. (ok, so I live by lists. what can you expect from a CPA)

I can't wait!! :Pinkbounc
