Hey... where is everyone that's going on this cruise??? We need to get some conversation started and think about starting a Fish Extender group! This will be my first ever cruise! And my fiancee's also unless you count when he was in the Navy... pirate: we'll be getting married on the cruise but won't be bringing any guests along with us... would love to get to know some fellow DIS'ers before the cruise to meet up with!! :woohoo: :yay: :cool2: :dance3:

Congratulations to you both!!! princess: pirate:

It's very quiet on this thread....maybe it will get busier a bit nearer the time! :confused3 I really want to do the fish extenders as it will be our first cruise too (me & my hubby).

So what plans have you made for your big day so far? I would love to hear all about it. ::yes::

Congratulations on your wedding! I can't imagine getting married on the cruise; what a wonderful wedding it will be!!!

Our group currently includes:

Cabin #1 - Me, husband, and granddaughter
Cabin #2 - Daughter #2 and Son-in-law
Cabin #3 - Daughter #1, niece #1 and niece #2
Cabin #4 - Mom
Cabin #5 - Sister-in-law #1 and Brother-in-law #1
Cabin #6 - Sister-in-law #2 and Brother-in-law #2
Cabin #7 - Mother-in-law

This will be the second cruise for those in Cabins 1,2 and 4, and the first cruise for everyone else. We did the fish extenders on our first cruise and loved it!!! I would love to participate, and will speak with the rest of our group and find out if they would like to do this too. Fortunately we have a while to plan.

Keep the thread alive!!!

Thanks for the congrats/well wishes! We haven't really gotten far with planning... it was a huge step just to make a final decision on what we wanted to do and get the cruise booked! I kept going back and forth and back and forth with what I wanted... stumbled across info on the cruise DFTW and there was no question about it! That was IT!! Luckily my fiance' is as big of a kid as I am... :thumbsup2

Next step is to get a dress, which I won't do until I lose this weight - 25-30 pounds. So it's kind of a motivator knowing I can't even SHOP for a dress until then! We won't be having any guests, so not a lot of real planning necessary... we are SUPER excited!!!

yeah, hopefully as it gets closer, we'll get a little more action going in this thread... and I'm all for starting a FE group... sounds like fun!!

We just booked our 4th family Disney Cruise!!
We just love the Magic & Wonder!

I only bad thing is the waiting. But it really is worth the long wait.
Everyone in my family has a favorite fun event and the wonderful memories...

We are even thinking of doing a 7 day cruise in 2010.

Anyway this time it will be ten of us on board...

Congrats on booking!! I agree it isn't coming around quick enough though!

We have booked one of the 2010 special cruises. We are doing the 12 night Northern European Capitals one.

Hello, this will be my second attempt to cruise. My family and I were booked to go last year but had to postpone it due to financial troubles. :headache:
So, here we are trying to go this year. I have already told my family that if I have to, I will go alone!:rotfl2: (yea right!) We are planning on going to Disney first (land/sea vacation) So we are planning on arriving Sept. 16.

So far it is to be:
Cabin 1
Me -- Terry (44)
DH - 52
DS - 7
Cabin 2
Sister- 43
Brother in law
Niece - 15
Cabin 3
Mom - 63
Niece - 13
Niece - 11

Hope to get to know you all by the time the ship sails!!

I'm in! I just booked last week--our first cruise (well, DH went on one with his family when he was in college I think). A Disney cruise is the only kind that holds much appeal for me. It'll be me, DH, our three boys (they'll be 8, 6, and 3), and maybe/probably my mother in law. We have two connecting category 10 rooms.

So we only have 7months and 11 days until the party begins :cool1:

I'm sure this "cruise" will be better than the last one i took 14 years ago(US Navy)..I was gone for 6 1/2 months and we got to go to the Persian Gulf in the middle of summer. It was freaking hot there. But it was a dry heat ;) :)

I just booked this cruise yesterday. It will be me my husband and our daughter who is 7 princess: . This is our first cruise ever and we are terribly excited.

Ok we just booked more family members on our Family Cruise:

Cabin #1 – Me and wife
Cabin #2 – Daughter, Son-in-law, and grandson #2
Cabin #3 – Son #1, Daughter-in-law, granddaughter#1, and granddaughter#2
Cabin #4 – Son #2, Great-Grandfather, and Great-Uncle
Cabin #5 - Father-in-law #1 and Mother-in-law #1
Cabin #6 - Father-in-law #2 and Mother-in-law #2
Cabin #7 - Daugher-in-law and grandson #1

This will be our 4th Disney Cruise for some, 3rd for some, 2nd for some, and 1st for some…

Ages will be 85, 69, 57, 51, 37, 36, 17, 13, 3, 2...aw forgetaboutit too many to count.

Hopefully we wont leave anyone stranded on Castaway Cay.

Now that i think about it...being stranded on Castaway Cay sounds real nice...

Well, sorrow has now set in, along with extreme excitment...

Occupants of cabing #2 (my daughter and son-in-law) have now informed us a new baby is coming on SEPTEMBER 17th! So, they have cancelled their cruise. We certainly do not want to miss the big day, so we cancelled our cruise, then the entire family cruise started unravelling at the seams. As it stands now, only occupants of cabin #5 are still going. So, while we are disappointed about this cruise, we get a new grandchild and when my husband found out the date, he insisted we schedule another one for June of this year. I will move to that thread now.

Good luck to everyone and have a great time!

I don't think anyone has started one yet Ginger.

This will be our first cruise & I was really hoping a FE would be organised but I don't know whats involved - so hoping someone will take charge. ;)

This will be our first DCL cruise but not our first cruise. Looking for something that the other cruiselines do not offer.

Laterz Rick and Edi

Can't believe we are under 6 months now!!! :woohoo:

Have any of you chose what excursions/activities you want to do???

I would like to do the stingray feeding at cc aswell as some snorkeling.

We are going to get a taxi to Atlantis & spend the day there - we got married at there in 2001 & this will be our first time back so we just want to wander around the grounds, taking lots of photos etc. We may also have lunch in the restaurant where we had our wedding meal.
