9/19/09 Western Magic

Bishop is so excited to meet Jamie and Emory. He keeps talking about his new freinds and how he can't wait to see them. He was asking me if he could invite thm over to play at our house!!! ......I am sure you wouldn't mind driving them here for the afternoon :rotfl: I am pretty sure now that we will not be able to get the kids out of the club.

jamie is so excited too...now I need to get Katie talking with Courtney. I think will make the clubs so much more fun!!

jamie keeps asking if his friends can eat dinner with us! :rotfl2:

Hi all! We are ready to leave, will be in Atlanta in about 18 hours :scared1: and we should be in Orlando Monday afternoon. Just wanted to let you all know that I enjoyed so much chatting with you folks all this time, I can't wait to meet all of you and your families, by the way, you will soon notice that my spoken English is even worse than my written English :rolleyes1, probably better than your Spanish though :rotfl: so please be patient with me :)

Safe travels to everyone and see ya real soon :woohoo:

Dennis

PS I am leaving my Macbook at home, but will try to write short posts on my iPhone.

Dennis - Happy and safe travels!! :goodvibes My husband speaks spanish, so he can translate! :lmao:

Can't wait to meet you!!!

Dennis - have a wonderful trip to WDW. Enjoy and be safe.
Not much Spanish here but I had to say your written English is perfect!

Safe travels Dennis!!:thumbsup2
Can't believe after all this time, this trip is actually happening. :cheer2:

Best wishes for our newlyweds to be for the weddings!! Hoping it doesn't rain on your day! But if it does, just go with the flow. It rained on my wedding day (still married after 17 years) and we actually ended up with the most beautiful pictures with the rain behind us and big clouds. And I had an outside wedding planned. The most important thing is you are celebrating this day with friends and family and you will have the rest of your lives together rain or shine..:goodvibes

Kathy-:bday:
Kim-Can't wait to hear about your FE packing adventure! Your posts always crack me up:lmao:!! Hope your back is doing better though!!

Take care everyone!! This time in 2 weeks we will be on the MAGIC!!:grouphug::dance3:

Dennis - welcome to the Peach State. Hope you don't have a long layover. Atlanta Hartsfield is like one big mall though. Get a map and have a great time.

We will also be in AK on Thursday too. Just look for the family with a red stroller bags, and the guy with a Dallas Cowboys cap on and Mom with Passporter Pouch on. We will be mainly doing Africa that day at AK, and will only be there a half a day. Because we will have been up early to do the sunrise safari.

And here are some pixies for your wedding no rain. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Dennis wishing you and your family a safe and fun trip.

Paige I told my husband about your family last night, and he thought it was great that our kids were the same age.

I have to give Disney to my husband in small doses. He loves WDW, but can only handle so much information at one time. So I showed him the FE's I made and then talked about some of the families on the cruise.

The kids leave today to go to their grandparents, so we can talk much more freely about it tonight, tomorrow and Monday.

A week from today I will be in MK having breakfast with my little Princess princess: at CRT.

2 weeks from today, I will probably be pushing everybody to hurry up so we can get on the road to the Port. And be crazy with excitement.

Actually our Thursday sounds identical we are having Dinner at 6:00 pm at Jiko instead of Boma. We just changed that this morning.

My husband will enjoy talking to all of you. He loved Australia when he visited about 14 years ago. He said he would love to live there. We hope that when the kids are older like teenage years we can go as a family there to visit.

We look forward to meeting you and your family.

:rotfl: Sure sure, we can do this! Paige will just stop on her way up the road for me and then we will continue on up the road to your place:confused3

I really don't see the problem! Emory is so innocent that way. One of my very best friends has lived in Hawaii for the last 26 years and she is able to come back east fairly regularly. We have known each other most of our lives. Our kids love when we get together (usually once a year) and this last time, they invited Emory (yet again, boohoo, we've never been able to go there yet) to come over and play soon. That was months ago and he is still telling his father about it, "But Daddy, Asher invited me, I have to go! It is impolite not to accept an invitation!" Gotta love a kids mind!

oh wait, does texasbloke want in on the fun too? Come on along! My DD4, Jillian, would love to meet the Ainsley with her real live donkey! She is loving looking at all the pictures with her Mommy!

Wow! Some of our group are on the way! What a cool group we have and such an international one, I am lovin' that! Wait until I tell my teens that at any given time they could hear French or Spanish, and so many different accents from around the world! One of our older sons, who is not cruising with us, is a linguist. He adores learning languages and mingling in foreign countries just to get a feel for the language and culture. One of his favorite activities when he is home is pacing (I know! don't ask) and muttering things in who knows what language! It's quite amusing.

Another full day here and thanks to those who asked about my back. I never learn. I just need to alternate positions (not to much standing, sitting, laying at one time and certainly not cleaning and lifting all day long :rolleyes1) I just really want to get it done and leave a little bit of a time window before we have to hit the road. A girl can dream right? We've added 6, count 'em six!, Dr's visits to our already very busy schedules. Two down, 4 to go. Switching insurance and not knowing what to expect of the new one is the pits. Ended up getting the kids flu vaccines (only one of mine got sick from it before and it was right away and short lived) and so far they seem good to go.

The whole FE packing session just got to be crazy the other night. The piles just seemed to grow even when we were trying to weed out and cut back! And then we would add more in and oh my! I ended up needing 2 suitcases! One is just that rolling duffle thing from WDW free with purchases in WOD so not huge but the other is a full size carry-on with the expanable zipper let out. My DH is gonna freak out when he sees what we have to fit in. I may still call DCL and see if they think a 14x14x14 square box would be okay to ship, just really nervous about chancing it not showing up! And I'd need to mail two of those size (one to each cabin) just to get the FE stuff there, nothing else:scared1:

Chef Mickey's, Boma, Wishes and Spectro, MNSSHP and Dessert buffets. you guys are killing me. It is going to be so hard to be so close and not visit some of our favorites.

jamie is so excited too...now I need to get Katie talking with Courtney. I think will make the clubs so much more fun!!

jamie keeps asking if his friends can eat dinner with us! :rotfl2:

You Mom's are awesome for coordinating this for the little ones. I feel very old sometimes with my last two. I always say with my first two, I was to young and stupid to know better and with my middle two I was in my prime and with these last two? I am just hangin' on for the ride!

You tell Jamie he can eat with us any night he wants! What a cuite. I know you guys have early seating but I wonder if Disney allows this? Table hopping? Or if it is kind of like pool hopping at the resorts:laughing:

Oh yes but I believe Paige would have to drive from GA to TX 1st then on to Delaware, and then up to Canada. That would be a fun trip with how many kids in the car and how many hours?:rotfl2: Or I could leave TX with kids and donkey in tow, then drive up to GA then on to Delaware, and then to Canada. That should make the news.:rotfl:

Well here is how packing went last night.

Grandparents finally came and picked up kids around 5:00 pm. Then I started pulling out all the suitcases and weighed the only two we were planning on checking through. One weighed 65 pounds and the other weighed 60.

So I start taking stuff out that is heavy, costumes, jeans, formal clothes, pants. Finally the cruise suitcase I got down to 49 pounds, but without the above. (And without the FE's in it.)

The WDW suitcase was easy I knew it was all the toiletries and detergent.

So my husband and I start discussing options. Mailing a box, or paying for another carry on. Finally after looking at postage fees, we decided the more economical and safest way to go was pack another suitcase. (Which I am gritting my teeth doing, because I hate that the airlines charge you to check through one bag.:headache::mad: Everyone should be allowed at least one check through. How am I supposed to fly with two kids, a husband and go on a trip for 17 days? With just a carry on?:rotfl:)

So today I hopefully will finish packing, except for last minute items.

My husband says he is available to help me all day with packing. So I will take advantage of it.

Wishing everybody a great day!

I love hearing everyone's updates on their packing, FE, etc.!

Melissa - happy packing this weekend, and with your hubby helping! Nice! :yay:

Kim - I'm glad you told us the FE story! I joined in on the second FE, which is much smaller, and I can totally understand how it can get out of hand!!

We are just truckin along......I have some packing done. I still have to organize the clothes, but I feel pretty good about where I am. I ordered some packing cubes yesterday. I had read on the boards about how awesome they are, so we'll see. Hopefully I'll get them before we leave.....:rolleyes1

Ok, gotta go get ready for church.

It's getting close!!!! :dance3: See you real soon!!!!
