For those of you who will be visiting Disney World before the cruise, I will be working at Epcot Tuesday and Wednesday feel free to say hi if you see me. Here is a picture in my costume with my typical work look, minus the camera. LOL

Lori,

It would be awesome to find you in the park. I know we are there on Wed. cuz we have lunch reservations at Cellier. I walk around with a goofy guy with Disneyland hats on since we are from California. Hope to see you. I'll check back for your time/location schedule.

Hi Everyone -

Taking a quick break at work and wanted to ask.....

On Friday we are staying at POP and going to Downtown Disney, anyone have any good ideas on things to do there or around the parks? We already have ressies at T-REX that the boys do not know about! My mom will be with us in her ECV too. We were thinking maybe a ride on the monorail or ferry for some site seeing??? My oldest said to see MK and not be able to go in would be torture! So I am looking for other ideas too (we havent been to DD since he was 2).

Just 2 more weeks of work - yahoo! My hubby and I will even work Labor Day to get stuff done and be able to relax more on vacation.

Mamajojo, Can I just say FRUSTRATING!! I hope you can get it posted again.

Thanks for thinking of me too as we adjust and handle all the changes.

Very Frusrating :headache: I will rewrite it, I just need to find the time again....and the energy!

No problem. I understand change all to well and how stressful it can be. We had lived in London (and just outside) all of our lives. Our Families are both pretty close to there as well. After working for the same company for 8 years, Tony ended up getting a job about 2 and a half hours from where we lived and we had to move. He started work right away and we had to buy a new house and sell our old one. He rented a place while were were trying to acheive both of those and I stayed in London. I was home alone with 3 kids from Monday to Friday for 3 and half months. The little two were only 6 months and 23 months ( and VERY busy). I remember nights of rocking Brooklyn in my arms while rocking Bishop in his car seat with my foot, helping Sam do her homework. I also had to keep our house spotless, since we were trying to sell it. We didn`t want to live in Toronto because we wanted to stay close to our families, so we ended up picking half way in between and now he still has a an hour and a half hour commute each way, depending on traffic. I then had to go house hunting in a new city that I new nothing about, with and agent that I had never met. Tony told me just to pick the house that I wanted and he would show up after work and sign the papers. Six years later, we have settled in. The kids love their school, we have found a great Dr and dentist, I have a great job and we like it here.

so incredibly frustrated right now.

I have been trying for the last hour to do my online check in crap but that damn site keeps 'timing out' without ever actually LOADING the forms!.

this is damned annoying and I expected better from Disney. I cannot spend all day re entering my information to pull up the cruise just to have it NOT GO THROUGH

Hey Penny,
What about Disney Quest? It seems like a fun place to spend some time at. It is in Downtown Disney...
See you real soon! Tell your mom to gear up for bingo!!

Sorry you're having issues! I know that is so frustrating! I would probably call Disney and ask them what to do before I would keep trying and having that happen.....I hope you get it worked out soon!

Lori, how about next week? do you know where you will be working at? We are going to the parks this next week and it would be fun to see you :)
Dennis next week I work Tuesday 9/8, I will be in Mexico with Donald. On Wednesday 9/9 I am in Future World from 3:45 to 10:15, unfortunately, I have no idea where until that day.;)

What about Boardwalk, they have some shops and it is beautiful. you can also get to the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht and Beach Club by walking or rent a bike. My family always loves mini golf too.

I had no idea there was a London in Canada :rolleyes1

hey there...t-rex has a build-a-dino, like build-a-bear studio inside and it is Fun to do....would a 10 year old still like it?? My kids 5 & 7 really enjoyed it on our last trip! There was a family type DJ performing on stage outside and he was entertaining to all ages...the kids danced and had a blast. so much to do and with 2 boys you can spend lots of time in Lego Land. Enjoy...you will not be bored at DTD!! We can stay in World of Disney forever....and do not forget Goofy's Candy Shop too. Pin Traders is fun too is either of your boys collect pins. Also - my ds loves Smash Penny machines so we hunt for those too. You will have a ball. There is a Disney Sports Store too...plenty to keep busy and entertained. You can always ride a boat over to one of the DVC resorts...SSR/OKW and ride back just for the boat trip.
Have a great time!

Oh I sooo hate when that happens. Ditto on the maybe call Disney or wait until late night maybe when traffic is slower?

:flower3:

LoriS - so glad you posted your pic so you can be found in the park! We will not be there except for MNSSHP but I think that is an awesome idea. Hope you meet some fellow cuisers!

You can try going thru a browser other than Internet Explorer (if that is what you are currently using)...I read this tip on another post and have had better results with the Disney site going thru Mozilla Firefox recently. I also read a tip that said as soon as the DCL site comes up : click "book" to avoid all the graphic downloads and then go from there :confused3....HTH. Sorry that is a PAIN :headache:

You've already gotten some great ideas. I'll just expand one. We love to take the boat to POR/POFQ/SSR and just enjoy the resort. The playgrounds are lots of fun, the arcades are fun, the stores all have different stuff then you will find in DTD, you can also rent boats and bikes from the resorts. More penny machines at each resort as well. $.51 cents worth of amusment! You will get to see the new Treehouse DVC's along the way as well!

Go listen to a DVC presentation at SSR and enjoy free ice cream sundaes and maybe a gift card. I would ask the night before over at POP and see if you could schedule something for a specific time.

I really like the relaxing atmosphere of the resorts during the daytime when most are in the parks. DTD while fun for me (the shopper!) is my DH least favorite part of all of Disney (imagine!). You can even drive to AKL or boat to WL which are my two of my favorite resorts to spend time browsing in or catching the breeze in a rocker someplace with an awesome view.

:confused3 With so little time? I would be unable to decide which thing to do!! My one non-negotiable in DTD though is Earl of Sandwhich.

Have a fun evening or afternoon or both, whichever you have!

This is a great way to use up extra "pluses" on non-expiry tickets. We always have a ton left over. Great for your age boys too. Just don't forget to pack the tickets:rolleyes1. My kids only ever spend half a day and do everything they want there. But tickets are spendy I think if just paying outright? Waterparks are also a good use for those extra pluses!

ALRIGHTY THEN!!!!

SO....PARENTS & SISTER OF KRISTIN....other than Jeannie -- I am only lacking the names of the other two.....

pretty please?

My boys are Ryan (10) and Zachary (8)!
:)

If you are wondering on our screen name, our 20-year old will not be going on this trip!:teacher:

Oh yeah-Earl of Sandwich:worship::love::goodvibes:thumbsup2
My problem with that place is I can't decide what I want and feel pressure with the line behind me. I think I know what I want when I get up there, but darn that person in front of me for ordering something that sounds better....

In a little over 2 weeks we will all feel much better! Of course that has nothing to do with the DOD. :rolleyes1

Kileybeth- Change can be overwelming...too much going on at once. I'm glad your DH is able to cruise. I lived in the same are all my life but moved 2 years ago to be with new DH. He is required to live here due to his job(prosecuting attorney). I miss alot of familiar people/places but I belong by my husband's side even though sometimes I long for the hills (it's flat here).

Hannahquad-Earl of Sandiwch? Do tell. Am I missing something really yummy?

We were trying to figure out a way to do MNSSHP. I called to make ressies for the Wishes dessert party or one of the sit down restaurants. They are all booked! We would just make it in time from the airport. We have decided to wait till another trip. We are planning on taking Sawyer to WDW and maybe a cruise too when he is 4 or 5 yrs old. He is only 2 now. I wanted to whine a little though...I love Halloween. We got our packing cubes in the mail yesterday. Now I can't wait to start packing this weekend. It will be interesting to see how many dresses and shoes fit. :rolleyes1
