Notes: Awesome! Get off the elevator and make a right into the hallway and then a left and there's your room! First room Right Off The Elevator! Noise Not A Problem, barely heard a thing. Big Room! I was expecting Much Smaller! Bathroom Nice and Clean! Big Tub! Downside: 4 Adult sized lifepreservers stuffed in closet instead of 2 adult 2 child so closet was cramped. Carpet needs to be steam cleaned, Futon cover needs to be replaced. Hubby thought the mattress was perfect. We have a Select Comfort bed at home, so we're hard to please Pull down bed and actual bed in futon in great shape. 555 is my lucky number, so I was Very Happy to have been assigned room 6555! Enjoy!

Notes: Cooler was excellent--I put in 10 hot canned drinks at 3:00 p.m. and they were nice and cold by 10:00 p.m. Not noisy at all and VERY convenient to the stairs and elevator. A little cramped when all 4 of us were trying to get dressed for dinner. All the beds and pillows were comfy.

Notes: Room Location was The Best! I loved the idea of being next to the stairs/elevator, but worried about the noise..There was none! Slept like babies! 2 adults/2pre-teens & still comfy. Bed very comfy! I suggest showering in Rain Forest Spa; let kids shower in room so everyone is less rushed and happy

To those that have cabins located at the aft of the ship

Use the secret stairs!! They are on Deck 8

Corner of the main aft stairs, turn right of where the 2 hallways intersect there is a little hallway go up the stairs this takes you right into topsiders!

Got my stateroom assignment today with the rest! It's 6055, cat 11. Not really sure what to expect as this is our first cruise, but from looking at the layout of the ship (and being positive), it looks like it's a good deck, and right in the middle of the ship. Don't know how that will be for noise?? But it should be good for getting around, right? Almost literally midship........ If anyone knows anything about this cabin/deck, etc., let me know!

Yay to everyone on just finally having a "home" on the ship now!

On to packing now...........

That was our assigned cabin #. So I went on and checked this morning and we got upgraded from a Category 11 to an 8 for free! Yeah! We are now in cabin 6024. I am extremely excited, we now have split baths and a window!

I am planning on checking to see at port how much an upgrade from an 8 to a 6 or 5 is, if available.

Congrats to everyone else too!

Also we are going to be giving up our Couples Cabana Massage on Castaway Cay for 2:00 pm. Is there anyone else who would want to book it. Let me know and we will try to work out a time to be online at the same time.

I will gone most of the day today, but PM and maybe we can work something out.

Congratulations to all on your upgraded room assignments.

I started a new job today working/volunteering at the middle/high school that my boys attended. We were there for 12 years; our last boys, twins, graduated in 06. Now I am back ministering on campus working with seniors and two other moms in the student store. It is busy and fun and so rewarding at the same time. Good place for this newly transitioning empty nester. We have a large ISP (home school community at the school as well.)

Disneyfanatics my condolences on the loss of your mom-in-law. I have lost so many loved ones to the big C; my heart goes out to you at this time.

Anyone going to MNNSHP on Tuesday, the 15th??? If you are and want to meet up, let me know.

Getting excited as we count down.

Hi All!
The map for the 1st FE group is now DONE! Please check out the yahoo group for access. The link is:

There is a map list (which includes cabin numbers in ascending order and DIS id names) and TWO deck plan maps noting each cabin that is participating in the 1st FE highlighted! I will try to update them each evening as (if) changes are made.
It really helps me if you EMAIL ME changes from here on out to meanddblj@yahoo.com. It keeps me from having to scroll back through all post looking for them...please do this!
I have been updating the FE list for the 1st group on the yahoo site too as cabins have been assigned, please check behind me! And EMAIL me any changes or errors!!!!!!

Since I was looking at photos to add to the yahoo group I came across this. I woke up one morning and heard voices on the balcony, so got up to check it out. It was Brooklyn and Tony having one of their early morning conversation( they have a lot of these). I grabbed the camera next to me and took a picture, they did not even know that I was there. She is a very special Daddy's little girl like I have never seen in my life.

Here is the picture

I sent a bunch of the pictures to my Mom. She picked out this one and had a painting made for DH for Christmas....and had it titled " Daddy's girl"

This is so sweet I nearly cried! As I am sure you must everytime you look at it. What an awesome thing for your Mom to do.

We got our room assignments and my assesments last night seem to be dead on!

We had 2 Cat12's linked with 3 persons in each room. This absolutely worked to our advantage I think.

We are on DECK 7!!!!! Right near that little secret Deck!

While it is true we are still inside staterooms? I am beyond thrilled!

And while we are Cat11, only one level up, I am still thrilled as our cabins are right next to one another, whew! I really thought my teenagers might be living it up on a completely different deck (not really it was just fun to say and they really did want to feel "on their own" Well, having to go out to the hall and go in the next door is good for this Mom.

Then the lack of a split bath comes up, and I gotta tell you I kept trying to get excited for that but it seemed like more rooms to take up my little bit of square footage!

And being a large family (who normally books and shares one suite with one bath?), with only 3 of us in each cabin (read that 2 bathrooms!!) ? I think we will be just fine!

Thank You Disney God's! You are my friends again!

Oh and our cabin #'s are 7127 and 7129. Only the one got room reviews but they were all excellent and people even rebook this room on purpose!

No need to upgrade now either, more $$$ in my pocket!! woo-hoo!! We are goin' on our 1st Disney Cruise!!!!

Please, Please do not come on and burst my bubble by telling me they can still move us GTY's around up until sail time, I just need to bask in this for tonight!
