Teena & Bob, Welcome aboard! So good to have you and your friends sailing with all of us. We really have a nice group here and you will sure enjoy reading previous and future posts. don't forget to check in for our last roll call next Wednesday.

Paige, I wish I knew if those folks are still sailing with us but, unfortunately Denise (Tink&cinderella) has not written any post since June 15th page 91 of this thread, so I'm not sure if they are still on this cruise or they had to cancel.
Anyways, since I purchased her parents' souvenir magnet a long ago I will be bringing it just in case.
OH! and pixie dust and good luck with your new job!

We just booked for the cruise. I'm a cast member at the Beach Club and my husband is a cast member at the Contemporary. We're both retired and work two days a week. We're bringing along our good friends from Michigan. All adults.

We don't have cabin numbers yet but will post them once we get them. Can't wait. This will be my 5th trip on the Magic, my husband's 4th on the Magic and Mary K and Gary's first on the Magic.

We're staying at the Contemporary during our wedding but not on the days your husband working, we don't check in till the 16th. If his shifts chnage have look out for us and say hi!

If you need a white button down shirt ladies...for pirate night and you think a 16/18 XL would work...I can bring it to you...nice cuffs on sleeves and delicate pointed layered collar with white/rhinestone center (small) buttons (bought it to wear for pirate night and I changed our dress plans so it is up for grabs if anyone can use it....
going out of town in a second but will post pics when I return if anybody wants it let me know! I will bring it to you! I will be home Sunday night and can post a pic then!

Teena - what an exciting place to get to work...I know you see a lot of excited people of all ages! And I know your dh does too. Congrats on the award!

Ok I did say now I would have time to obsess right....
so far from the little bit of info I can get from DCL and Orbitz it looks like there are:
GTY only Cat 12's
One Cat 11 cabin 5001
Eight Cat 10's on deck 2
Eight Cat 9's deck 2
Eight Cat 8's deck 5
Cat 7 no an option for us (4 people)
GTY only Cat 6's
Eight Cat 5's deck 7

Now I am SURE these numbers will change once assignments begin BUT notice a pattern anywhere? Who knows how many available cabins there really are since the maximum that shows open for the above CATs is eight....so MAYBE just MAYBE DCL does have a LITTLE room to move some folks ??

Wow, you guys have been busy!

Paige - Congrats on the new job, I did the same thing a few years ago and now have a job I love (Disney TA, lol)

Holly - Congats to you too! DVC, what a great wedding gift! The two of you will be able to make tons of memories together, and then if you have kids, you will be able to share it with them as well. I've been trying to talk my dh into it, but he's not biting (yet!)

Can't wait to meet everyone, keeping my fingers crossed for those of you waiting for cabin numbers that they come soon!!!

Congrats on DVC! We thought about it a while ago and may consider again now that the ankle biters, er, lil angels, are growing. May as well spend all our disposable income on something high quality and worthwhile

Speaking of kids...for all you honeymooners: if you're still starry-eyed about wanting that batch of 3, 6, 8 babies--you're invited to look after one or both of our little cherubs. Seriously they always get the best reviews from teachers, play group leaders, counselors etc. Apart they're fantastic, but when they combine: "Wonder Twin powers, activate!"

I finished buying everything...I think. Last night ( after shopping, yet again) My DH says " only $3500 for the cruise......then $7000 for everything you need to GO ON the cruise Yes, unfortunately for him, I am a shopaholic

I will probably not be here for roll call...again I feel so sad that it is our last one and I will miss it. I am going in for my second (and hopefully last) surgery tomorrow. I am going to try and get on here for roll call but if I don't, I am here in spirit anyway.

Hey all! Haven't even had time to lurk lately. But good news today.....


I have final medical clearance to go on the cruise!


Both my hematologist and nephrologist say I can go...my little hospital episode has left no lasting ill affects. Actually, I've improved some since then

AND I don't have to avoid alcohol in spite of what some people might think! Of course, I'm such a boozer that all I'm looking forward to is one, maybe two foo foo umbrella drinks with a slice of pineapple in them! (Of course, if I'm taking my morphine or dilaudid then I'll naturally avoid imbibing...don't want to appear on CNN like those Carnival folks... )

so i've changed our stay the night before location from AKV to BWV. AKV has seemed so remote the last couple of times we've gone. Also Epcot has the EMH that night so we'll be closeby. MK closes at 7pm that night for the MNSSHP. I don't think we're going to go but we might shoot over to Epcot. Our post-cruise night after was also reserved at BWV but it will be a BW view and we're going over to the first weekend of F&W.

thanks Gretchen, so sweet of you! I am from Augusta, GA so we were "home" for the weekend! Back in NC now!
But dh forgot his work laptop and laptop bag so he had to turn around and go right back I feel so bad for him!

We're headed to WDW after disembarking as well. Not sure if we're going to do one of the parks or Sea World first. We won't do KSC/NASA like last time...I've had enough of those weenies for a while (besides, they might try and make me work since my cell phone will be back online ).
