Dennis, safe travels to you and yours. Looks like lots of us will be trying to fit all our FE in someplace! It's has been so fun working on them, it's making the cruise so much more fun knowing we have "people we know coming" and everyone is "bringing goodies" along too!

Holly, just was thinking what an awesome wedding gift that is for you to give each other! And one that keeps on giving. Don't let the family worry you to much. Ours does not understand our obsession with Disney either and certainly not our financial committmentn to it

Rainy day here and lots to do but wanted to check in. Trying to keep myself from going over to the DCL site to check the GTY status. No news is good news right?!

Since I am a bit OCD-I have the numbers for the kids count that you wanted:
There are 19 boys and 23 girls. I have them broken down into age if anyone needs that as well

Just checking in to thank you for all your good wishes for a safe trip, I want to thank you all as well for your nice comments about my wife’s work on our FE gifts, she has really spent a lot of time making them, but we think they look great and hope you all will like them.

Jody, good luck with your surgery, we will definitely be praying for a quick recovery.

Although we were planning to spend the first week of our vacation visiting some relatives in TN and SC, we have had to change plans. A very serious disease (MS) has been diagnosed to one of our relatives , so we just thought they would not feel like having company while they are going through such a really hard time. After considering several possibilities, we finally decided that the best for our DD would be to spend all the time before our cruise in Orlando, since we are arriving to Orlando on Sept 7th we should have plenty of time to go to the parks as well as making some excursions and some shopping too. We are also looking forward to going to some of our favorite restaurants and hope we’ll have the chance to explore other dining options in the area. I was able to get a reservation for ‘Le Cerlier’ at the Canada pavilion in Epcot (which is the 2nd best in Orlando according to Trip Advisor’s popularity index), we were looking forward to having dinner there, but since September was completely booked , we thought that lunch would be better than nothing, so we are booked for Sept 11th.

OH! Sorry! on a much brighter note, I forgot to tell you that we are planning to book the 12 night Northern Capitals Cruise while onboard to take advantage of the 10% discount plus some OBC . Just hope they will still have availavility.

Dennis, sorry to hear about your relative. Not having you health is a horrible thing that I know only too well. Glad too hear that your were able to change your plans. It sounds like you will have fun and another cruise planned already, wow!

Since I am trying to get out of house work, I thought I would post a few new pictures I took of the kids before they left for camping on Monday.. I miss them so much!

and since my oldest wasn't there when I took those pictures ( what else is new?) Here is one of her and Bishop that my Mom took on the weekend

holly - I am so excited for you...reading how close things are getting for me makes me want to see pics of everything now...just kidding...I love wedding planning and I can get lost in it. Enjoy your day...it flies by...I remember thinking all this planning for this...it was beautiful but quick...so glad you have a LONG Disney trip and a lifetime of trips to look forward to!

daveyc - I am so excited for you guys too. An Epcot wedding is amazing...I am keeping up with your PJ...nice job! And 5 wks out...too awesome!

jody - praying for you...hope your surgery goes smoothly and that your recovery is a quick one ! your kids are gorgeous! love the pics...glad you asked for the number of boys and girls...still may add a little something to our gifts.

dennis - I am so sorry to hear that your relative is having a rough time...my prayers go out to them. Sounds like your trip is going to be fun-filled...lucky dd. Le Cellier is TDF...yum...you are going to love it...I always the filet with the mushroom risotto !! The bread sticks (soft) are yum too. Enjoy. We ate at Fulton's Crab House last visit and the bill was a WHOPPER and the food was good but we feel it was over-priced for what we got. We both had fish...I enjoyed mine but dh did not. The live entertainment at DTD is a do not miss...that guy entertains all ages. My kids had to do Build A Dino at T-Rex and they thought it was really fun.

Well I quit my job today! Yes quit my job today...the stress and being jerked around has finally reached its limit. I have been offered a job by someone else and I will just make a smooth transition as they are ready for me to come on board if all goes as planned. But that may not be until after our cruise...which will be ok except for the sales I am missing out on. So now I have more time to obsess on planning and organizing. God has a plan...I just hope I am following his path .

I finally ordered dh's tux shirt today..the shirt that came with his tux was worn out! Burlington Coat Factory has tux shirts and bow tie sets for $15.99 but they did not have dh's size .
Also I am looking for ds dress shoes still. Well we are going to GA for the weekend and pick up our kids (they have been going between visiting with my MIL and Mom this week)

Just read this on the main forum and her countdown says getting married in St Thomas 9/16 so our cabin assignments should be coming soon....

Finally got it!!!!
I just needed to share with some folks who share my enthusiasm...

We finally got our stateroom #!!!!!!!!

And guess what.....

We went from cat 12 to cat 9 on deck 2...which is what we originally booked and then changed it to save $$...$1100 to be exact!!

Our friends were linked to our ressie and they are in the room next to us!

I am SOOOOOOOO happy!

Just keeping my fingers crossed that it does not change.
So we should be soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been doing a lot of lurking lately with not much to update on. I am still here daily checking up on everyone and love all the updates.

Now for my update, LOL we officially have all our FE goodies, and pirate costumes. I was so excited tonight that I was finally able to upgrade from a cat. 8 to a cat 6 with a verandah I debated back and forth but finally decided to go for it. Unfortunately that means I am not a GTY too, so I have no room for the FE list. Hopefully they will come soon.

kathy - thank you..I am really sad mainly because I trusted the team I was working with and they let me down...my eyes are so swollen I have cried most of the day when I got the final blow that they had NO regard for the work I had put in or for me. I also walked away from contracts...that stinks but my sanity is more important than money.

I hope you get your room number soon...I like all DISers am hoping for the upgrade fairy

And yes LoriS WTG! Congrats on the verandah...that is going to be SOOOO nice.

We just booked for the cruise. I'm a cast member at the Beach Club and my husband is a cast member at the Contemporary. We're both retired and work two days a week. We're bringing along our good friends from Michigan. All adults.

Teena - WELCOME and so glad to have you and your dh and friends booked! This is a great bunch of people, you will love it! Boy I cannot wait to be a Castaway Club member....nice! DO not think I will ever see DVC membership in my future but I have rented points before to stay in great places like Boardwalk & SSR.

Gretchen - yes I really take awhile to warm up....selling real estate I really have to come out of my shell but in social situations I am SO shy. Painfully shy- I actually get in a panic sometimes to where it comes across that I am snippy/snarky but I in NO way am...I would give you the shirt off my back (not a pretty sight if I did )! THANKS so much for your sweet words...I have been so upset...I just believe in conducting business honestly and fairly and taking care of those I work with but money was my team's top priority, it is too bad! I am getting so excited now...now that I have time to plan and pack and watch DCL to see if the upgrade fairy flies through or should I say upgrade wizard

Hannahguad - I remember you posting school is out for you and I knew you must feel a great sense of relief...I am feeling that relief now as well

dennis - I know your family travels out soon...just wondering did you ever hear about the couple we were getting the state magents as a gift for?...Just making sure I did not miss a post.

I'm the lobby greeter on Sundays and Mondays. Been there a little over 5 years. I just got Partners in Excellence this year too. So exciting!!!!!!!!! My husband is the lobby greeter over at the Contemporary on Sundays and Mondays.

Ok I did say now I would have time to obsess right....
so far from the little bit of info I can get from DCL and Orbitz it looks like there are:
GTY only Cat 12's
One Cat 11 cabin 5001
Eight Cat 10's on deck 2
Eight Cat 9's deck 2
Eight Cat 8's deck 5
Cat 7 no an option for us (4 people)
GTY only Cat 6's
Eight Cat 5's deck 7

Now I am SURE these numbers will change once assignments begin BUT notice a pattern anywhere? Who knows how many available cabins there really are since the maximum that shows open for the above CATs is eight....so MAYBE just MAYBE DCL does have a LITTLE room to move some folks ??
